The animations are a lot more realistic this time around, aren't they! I remember back in the DA2 Cullen thread long before DAI was even officially announced we used to talk about how cool it would be if they could make the characters body language show what they were thinking/feeling etc, they certainly managed to accomplish it!
That's also another reason why I prefer using the female British voice for the Inquisitor because she manages to pull off that awkwardness perfectly in scenes with Cullen, listening to the pair of them um and er and stutter out their feelings and desire for each other is absolutely adorable!
Me too! (three?) I can just picture her thinking, 'OMG what are we doing, why did we come out here instead of staying in his office or going to my quarters for this?' And the way my Inquisitor's voice wobbles a bit when she says 'I find myself thinking about you more than...well...all the time really' is just precious. The dorky nervousness is palpable.
My only regret with that scene is how long it takes her to stop flailing and hold Cullen properly once he finally starts kissing her. Grab on and tame that lion, girl!
For the ladder, I imagine it that Cullen kept blowing it off when anyone would suggest that he should get real stairs put in and have the roof fixed, because he's too busy to have masons working in his office...and then they start fooling around on the desk and realise they want to go upstairs and he suddenly loathes the cursed the ladder because he can't just carry her up to bed. And then in the middle of the night, one or both of them realises that there may be incriminating bits of clothing still downstairs and they'd better go and get it or else people will come in the next morning and find no Cullen at his desk and armour strewn on the floor. Aaaawk-waaaaard!
...I may or may not be writing fanfic which incorporates this idea. *cough*
