But still, it'll be cruel if it's either Cullen or Alistair. And Lola, I don't think that it'll be Alistair. I mean he already had too much opportunity to die in 2 games (DA:O & DA:I).

Yeah, it'll be my Inquisitor or Hawke, or my Inquisitor or Cullen, my Inquisitor or Warden/all 3, or whatever horrible choice they come up with this time.

Thank **** for the DA Keep, that's all I've got to say on the matter!

Now I just wish DA:I was open in the Keep.

I kind of was relieved when I nearing the "end" of the romance since everything seemed to be going well, and once I reached the end everything ended in a happy/nice way.

I'd wish there was a story reason everyone's Hawkes suddenly being so involved in the Wardens' buisness and making it their mission to deal with them. I think it was just a way to write them off.

It was when Hawke said "Corypheus is mine" I was like "er... dude, you realise that's a giant spider right? That's not Corypheus."

What did you think of the game overall...once you got past some of the bugs in your other PTs that is? I don't want to say it was disappointing...but it left much to be desired.

I was very disappointed, then I played it a second time around just to make sure it wasn't the glitches causing it and I was still disappointed, LOL! I liked the game, but it didn't live up to what it promised at all.

I have to review the bloody thing. It's gonna take a lot for me to remain diplomatic and not let my own personal investment in the game cause me to rant, LOL!

Well, I love choice like this. It's hard to make, and too easy if ever we know there'll be third option. That's why I forced one of my PT so that the Abyss choice will be Hawke or Alistair. Since I love both, it'll be much more engaging...

But still, it'll be cruel if it's either Cullen or Alistair. And Lola, I don't think that it'll be Alistair. I mean he already had too much opportunity to die in 2 games (DA:O & DA:I).

In any case, I love DA:I still (not as much as DA:O in term of epicness but still...) and I thanks Bioware for Cullen.

Agree with you. DAO first. DAI second. But once DAI gets mods all bets are off.

Hawke had a long day so maybe their eyesight was just messing with them, lol! Regardless I know I would not be sticking around for that spider...unless I had a big stick and lots and lots of fire.

So what is the "bad" ending for DA:I? I thought they said the demons could win...and I originally assumed that they would have had the IQ dying in a least one option, but apparently not.

I'd just stop playing. I'd be so angry that I think I would actually be done playing BioWare games because there would be no rhyme or reason to ever have those two put together in a situation where they'd be working together, let alone anything else, so the only reason it would be is simply to make you kill off one of your darlings for "dramaz/fangirl tears/arseholeness". If it doesn't have a good story based reason for happening then it shouldn't be in there.

Don't kill me Lola, but I love tough choices :P . DA:I's best for me is about save Hawke or save Alistair... Since I love both AListair & Varric...

It made every decision to go right through the heart. I mean, having the third option like having Dark Ritual or Save Connor & not possessed back in Redcliffe feels like cheating somehow.

Guess that it's a matter of preferences. I like the angst, the bittersweet, the very very dark choice & fantasy world.

...I actually really like this voice. You're right in that he doesn't nail the softer parts when Cullen's voice is supposed to be gentler and warmer to the Inquisitor, but in general terms the voice actor sounds a lot like Greg, enough that you don't get that cognitive dissonance of a completely different voice coming out of the character. He blundered the romance bits somewhat, but the rest of it was pretty good.

He talks too fast in my opinion. Commanderly, and it works quite well for the non-romance part. But still, Cullen's not always talking with his soldiers all the time. He also pass times at the Council & with the Inquisitor. Greg talks much slower, hence he can nail it at the softer moments. Even at the Council Cullen speaks softly.

I'd really love to see Alistair and Cullen team up. But for purely selfish reasons, both of them on me screen at the same time? Even better if it's for a large chunk of the game? Yes, please.

I want to see this if only for a Tumblr post I just read recently that points out it's likely they may have encountered one another at some point due to their similar ages and Ferelden Templar backgrounds. Some people are headcanoning that the new recruit who caused such a ruckus in Cullen's story was a young Alistair in training. LOL. Imagine Cullen's shock when he realizes the rowdy newbie he didn't get a clear glance of is the current King of Ferelden. Yowza.

I think we all honestly had such high hopes/expectations for DA:I. I mean all the hype and Bioware can and does make amazing games...so it just felt weird when I reached the end and was..."meh". However that epilogue...that was what Bioware should had been like with the whole game.

"demons can win" in that when you get a game over scene it gives you a piece of text about what happens to the world now you're dead, but beyond that there isn't any cutscenes of it or anything. Those "40 endings" were an exaggeration, there are different epilogue sliders and slightly different scenes depending on who you romanced, but the result of the final battle itself is always the same.

Aww...Cullen just awkardly asked Leliana about my Surana who romanced her.
"What, do you want details?"
Cute. Felt kinda inappropriate seeing as she's dead, though. Kinda hope that was a bug.

Really? He actually mention that? What was the conversation? I can't find a video.

I'd wish there was a story reason everyone's Hawkes suddenly being so involved in the Wardens' buisness and making it their mission to deal with them. I think it was just a way to write them off.

This was something that felt off in some playthroughs, and right on others. My mage Hawke had Carver in the Grey Wardens, so it absolutely made sense for her to get involved in their business, because the second her baby brother started hearing the Calling, she'd be all up on that - and with Stroud on the mission, it felt like contacting the Warden in charge of her brother was only natural.

My rogue (and main) Hawke, on the other hand, had Bethany in the Circle, and Loghain on the mission. I actually loved the ability to finally give Loghain the honourable death I took from him in Origins, but at the same time... how the hell does Hawke even know Loghain? What is she doing getting caught up in Warden business, when she has a husband caught up in civil war over his land's throne and a mage sister to protect and hide away from the mage/Templar war? Yeah yeah feeling guilty over Coryfish, but really, nothing adds up. It almost feels like having the sibling on the Wardens is the "right" way to import, the only logical way to make the premise of Abyss even work.

Oh I like! Could be considering some of the stories Alistair shared in DAO maybe? I can totally imagine Alistair being a ruckus, which is why he was always in such hot water with the Chantry peeps.

I actually had very very very very very high expectations after Haven's attack & arrival at Skyhold. This part is simply amazing & epic that even the ending can't match it.

Wow that is incredibly underwhelming. Heck if you shot the kid in ME3 you got a cutscene with a recording of Liara and you see the world is all screwed up...as in they are under ground.

You see my main Hawke is a mage and thus Carver is her sibling...little brat. He is in the Wardens so my Hawke would care and want to make sure he was alright. So I can believe that she is trying to help the wardens figure out what the heck is going on, but at the end of where it says they went off to the Wardens' main base for pretty much revenge is what I took it as. That does not fit at all for my Hawke. She would be back with Anders helping him recover from that event and still trying to salvage once was...if that even existed. Besides CORY IS DEAD...no more fake Calling.

Same here. I loved that part and it truly was what I expected DA:I to be all throughout the game. Although I still enjoyied the ball main quest and then the one in the Arbor Wilds is epic imo for sheer lore reasons.

My issue isn't with bitter sweetness, it's when they force something on you that completely ruins or shits all over your previous games canon. For example, to keep Alistair and Hawke alive and still with my Warden I had to make him King, this ruins my long standing DA:O canon because originally I kept him as a Warden, I then had to change my Amell into a Cousland and marry him because she's supposed to be me and I certainly wouldn't stand for being anyone's mistress, plus I don't like hardening him (hur hur). It feels like I'm being punished for not going with BioWare's King Alistair canon, when I happen to prefer him as a Grey Warden.

BioWare say their games are about choices and decisions and that your protagonist is YOUR character. DG has gone on record as saying that when the game ends that protagonist no longer belongs to you, but just because you've completed it shouldn't mean the character you created suddenly become theirs to do whatever they want with because the decisions you made with that character directly affects the next game, and potentially could make a cameo, thus it's still your character because you're still playing in the DA universe. If MY character stands a chance of dying then that should be on MY terms, if I want them to survive then I believe that it should absolutely be an option. To some degree I also have an issue with them messing with the love interests because if you're romancing that person then they are directly tied to your past protagonist, you shaped who that character became. Sure, if you aren't romancing them then by all means let them do what they want with them, but if you are then don't bloody kill them off unless the player has the option to, all these characters have varying fates for a reason, would it kill them to let one of those fates be that they survive, lol.

Anyway, that's just my personal feelings on the matter.

Nope. All we know is that bloody Xbox gets exclusivity to it for like a month I think...which I am still steamed about. I mean really...pulling a Bethesda much?
