*hugs* Thanks...that's Rebecca, my second Quizy. A mage. Who sided with the templars. She's much more sure of herself than my first Quizy. Cullen is amazing. I haven't even been tempted to romance anyone else yet, though I am looking forward to making Quizies for Dorian and Solas. Someday. *grin*

Oh, you would have read the first half anyway. I posted it on the 4000 page. Still have got the good stuff to come but I have had my nephew staying and it is just wrong to be writing that when he is hovering around me. 

 

So what do you like best so far--siding with the mages or templars? Or are they equally as good for you?

Err, you do realize that IB weights like 40 kg++ compared to Cullen no? I mean at that scale, weight does matter... But then the argument is that whether Cullen's on his armour or no... but I don't think that his armour weights 40 kg.

 

 

 

His romance is pretty fluffy despite having lyrium paraphernalia thrown in your general direction.  He swears he didn't know you were there.

Here's my Rift Mage Inquisitor that I've been romancing (and swooning over...) Cullen with; I just love the way she turned out (though here she's kind of mid sentence/emoting lol):

I know this was answered in different ways, but as far as just the templars, I did it both ways, trying to get him to approve of what I've done. He doesn't like it either way. So do what you want.
 

 
Personally, I found Ser Michel and Fairbanks pretty hot and I'm not generally a fan of Orleisans

I think I liked siding w/ the mages best...there was, well, more meat on those bones, I think.  Still, over all, I like my second Quizy best...mage/templar dynamic with Cullen is rather hot.    So far, my favorite thing has been the expressions on Cullen's face...he's an expressive fella, he is! 

 

And I have not finished going through page 4000. I missed it completely and felt awful about it yesterday when I discovered it!   I'm on it now...just give me a bit!

I guess it depends on what each individual is looking for in the romance. I am not one for too much angst so maybe I don't pay as close attention to those bits like I do all the little fluffy bits as to why it came off as being fluffy for me and then something else for.

I conscripted and allied with the templars and he was mad either way. I got a "what were you thinking?" from him both times, so I gave up reloading and replaying that freaking boss battle (since you can't save in between!).

And about Mage/Templar dynamic: agree. It seems like a long way from the star-crossed-lover turned very-possible dynamic. It's lovely to see Rhys-Evangeline & Elandra-Mattin or something like that (the Mage/Templar couple in Redcliffe, you can only meet the Lady Mage & tell her about the dead templar that was her lover).

 

Another Mage-Templar Dynamic that I love & was explored in DA2 was about non-lover Mage/Templar relationship, like Ser Thrask & her daughter. Or Hawke's Dad & Ser Maurevar Carver. Or Mage Hawke/Templar Carver. Especially when Hawke was a mage & at the end Templar Carver did something like "Go Through me First!" to Meredith & Cullen said "And Me"
