Not a thing. (Which is going to make my Cadash/Bull, Adaar/Blackwall, Lavellan/Solas, m!Trevelyan/Dorian, and evil!Trevelyan/??? playthroughs a lot easier, especially combined with Cullen still thinking fondly of Amell/Surana.)

I didn't either -- I've heard the Skyhold dialogue etc. doesn't trigger unless the banters trigger, so if you have the banter bug (I do) you won't see it.

I am trying very hard to break my usual cycle of romancing the same person over and over

 

Race/gender gating has helped.

I just keep playing female human elf. I just can't seem to play anything else anymore. Cullen just makes me reroll my characters everytime. I always end up thinking

Aww I actually want to make a lady mage Lavellan to romance Solas (parallel with my lady mage Trevelyan romancing Cullen, as suggested Tishina this might be a good idea to avoid temptation...). The idea of Solas-Mage lavellan is more enticing then Solas-non mage Lavellan, for undetermined reason... The thing is, since I'm going to be crazy and just do /Nightmare with that PT (I'm on Hard with Mage Trevelyan) it'll be hard to have 2 mages at the beginning. Especially I really want to headcannon a Lady Lavellan that kinds of being guided by Solas so she get Rift Mage too...

 

That's the good thing about Cullen, he's not companion so whatever class my Inquisitor is it doesn't really matter about game dynamic. Solas is companion so it's kind of difficult to make 2 mages early on (for harder difficulties at least).

 

Does anyone have any suggestion on how to keep Cole alive in battle? He always died in a few seconds despite the best equipment I made for him...

One thing I did take from that game, observationally of course, is that the lip scar appears to be his only one. He obviously only got clumsy rather recently

 

 

OH. OH.

 

Mishap because he was getting used to the new very complicated and long robes that are part of his outfit. Can't be a coincidence that he suddenly appears with a scar the same time he gets to wear something new after ten+ years of wearing his assigned Templar armor. Perhaps he tripped after improperly tucking in those robes. That would explain the extra rope that goes along with that belt.

Cole is usually fine if I take Blackwall...that man is the BEST warrior! (Well I can think of one better but I can't take him, *pouts*)

 

Actually I love how in this game the warriors actually protect us squishies without us telling them to. I have a guy pounding on me and within moment Blackwall is kicking his butt for me even though he was half way across the field beforehand.

Yeah, even on normal I couldn't keep Cole alive. But I guess respeccing him and giving him a bow could help? I played an archer assassin and I felt the AI could handle it pretty well. Dual wielder rogues are so squishy.

Yep, after Wicked Eyes, and Wicked Hearts/Here Lies the Abyss depends which you've done first. If you did "Here Lies the Abyss," it will lock after Wicked Eyes, and Wicked Eyes when you go back to Skyhold.

My solution to the Cullen/Solas question is to run simultaneous PTs (I almost always prefer to have multiple PTs anyway so when I hit a frustrating bit in the game, I can go jump into a different point in the game, so it works out well for making sure I get through both romances.) Then either male quizzies or female dwarves or qunari for the other romances. Of course, I also really like dwarves and non-qun qunari.

 

This is what I have to do with my Blackwall-romancing Qunari...I'm running my Dalish Elf w/ Cullen concurrently, lol.

So, this brings up a question. I've played chess a few times but am by no means any kind of chessmaster. So, how would one go about cheating? You can cheat at Wicked Grace because it's a card game, but chess? That part confused me.
