So is "Forgive me" his ongoing line for use?
Yeah, after I've made him kiss my boots a few hundred times, LOL!

I can't tell if this is coming off hostile or not so I'm going to assume not.
(It's not!
Apologies if it came across like that, tone is always hard to carry over text.)
One of the many reasons I turned to writing, right there.
I know, this thread also helps with it
love all the cullen posts
He'd probably have to try and remember what Cullen sounds like first, LOL!
It's weird, because while I can always tell him from his voice in a videogame, I honestly fail to recognise Greg Ellis in movies when he puts on a different accent. Even though most of them are just slightly different from his normal voice, it took me the longest time to recognise him in both Pirates of the Caribbean and Star Trek, because he was using RP (Posh Brit) and Australian accents in them.
Didn't Gaider say that there is one, but you have to do Wicked Eyes etc. before Here Lies the Abyss? (reposted below w/spoiler tags in case anyone's not there yet) Or did you guys mean something more involved?
I'm in the process of trying to trigger this and I'm wondering if there isn't some other variables involved. I'm not sure anyone has triggered it because usually FluffyLlamaNinja and Dana Duchy, for example, are pretty complete with their videos and neither one of them has posted anything.
(Also? Sweet Disco Jesus are there a lot of posts here on a daily basis! I'm like "I know I read this today!" when I was scrolling.
)
see, I don't like sacrificing any of my protagonist because they've all been thrown into something beyond their control and their love interests (Alistair, Anders, Cullen) are all tragic figures in there own way, perhaps Alistair more so because he had a terrible childhood and still feels undeserving of the Wardens love even now (as he mentions in DAI as a Warden). I wouldn't want to separate any of them from my protagonist because I want them to be happy.
I'm really disappointed in myself for recalling
with that comment.
Same LIs here as well. I agree with the happiness.

From that cars 2 interview I was thinking "Awakenings Anders, that's where you've been ..." Only, you know, less of a smart-ass : p
That's just what I edited my post to say! Lol. I didn't want to jump to conclusions for that same reasons. No apologies needed! It's all good.(It's not!

As an Amell/Cullen shipper I'm pretty happy that lines were included in reference to it. I felt like they were ambiguous enough that they weren't too bad, especially if he wasn't romanced, but that's just me. I do agree that it's unlikely we'll see the ship officiated in any form in-game, though.
I dare say we'll get some sort of cameo or mention of him somewhere in DA4, though I'd prefer him not to show up in-game in case they pull another Abyss stunt.
If DA4 does take place outside of Ferelden I can see him making cameos but maybe needing to stay in Ferelden to manage things. I sort of doubt he'll show up in a larger role, as much as I'd personally like to see it.
I dunno, there's nothing he says in game that could be described as raunchy at all. This coming from the guy that sung the Johnson rap, don't forget!
LOL Oh I know. Plus he seems to have his own very raunchy sense of humor, Mr. Let's Do a Play on Words with Cullen and Lingus.
But we also know that his knowledge of Dragon Age fits into a thimble.
It's actually a clip on Greg's demo reel from a guest appearance on nip/tuck, I believe. Never watched the show myself.
There are two clips making the rounds. The one from ages ago was Dexter. There's one currently going around Tumblr that's from Nip/Tuck. The latter involves GE confessing to a thing about erotic asphyxiation, just so, you know, you can tell them apart. Ahem.

That war table banter with Leliana only happens if the Warden was Amell/Surana, romanced Leliana, AND the Inquisitor isn't romancing Cullen, right? That's a LOT of requirements! Not many people would have heard it without the magic of YouTube
My headcanon is that Cullen and Amell spoke more than twice offscreen pre-Origins but she was oblivious to his crush. And now she's King Alistair's mistress, Denerim's chancellor, and Warden-Commander of Ferelden, so she's got a lot on her plate... no room for noodles.
(Still thought it was adorable that he regretted how he spoke to her when she came to save the Circle from Uldred)
About NPC romances though:
Spoiler
I just got this crazy thought of an idea off that. I'd love to see how an Amell would react to Cullen of present times. Be even crazier if she had a flicker of feelings ignite seeing him again and how great of a man he has become and all. Throw in Alistair. Mix. Oh Maker! The drama!...I'm going off on a tangent, anyways.
I feel he wasn't mature enough (less than Alistair, at the time) to even think about pursuing a relationship.

Yeah, that's similar to my headcanon for a F!Amell, that they probably had a few conversations beforehand, but he was too bashful to say anything more than a few words to her, while she tended to always be busy rushing off to fix Jowan's latest screw-up before anyone found out. Yeah, even in my imagination, Jowan's still a complete buttmonkey who tends to screw her life up...
As for those NPC romances;

HahAHh yeah that would be fun with a living Amell. I wouldn't want to cause Alistair any heartache though, he doesn't deserve that. ;u;
I actually think Cullen was very mature regarding romance in Origins since he was fully aware that it was just not possible and stuck by his duties despite his strong feelings. He acted differently after torture, but we all know he wasn't sound of mind at that point.

He's always the mature one, very intense and focused on whatever he does.
EDIT: I actually kind of waiting Mother Giselle/whoever it is to act like Wynne & started to give lecture about love & duties. Not going to happen apparently...
Just to make sure, you mean the letter *from* Mia, right? It's the wiki.. it has to be correct!
Yeah, that one. My bad.

It would definitely blur the lines of lingering feelings and the should/should not dynamic. Hm, I may have to play with this now. Although, causing Alistair pain would be...heart-to the ******- breaking. I've got my hands full enough with Before I Forget.
Suppsoe I meant maturity to see beyond the Chantry to bigger elements, I may have used the wrong word in those terms, but meh yes his is mature, but not in all respects.

I had no issue sacrificing my Warden, despite how much it would obviously have hurt Alistair (although the game never did that scenario any justice) because... let's say I was on a very different wavelength the first time I played Origins, and my Cousland took a few weird turns over the course of the game that made her a rather ugly person towards the end, so her sacrifice at the end of all things was something of a catharsis. She had to die. She may have needed a fairy tale happy ending, but it wasn't the one she deserved.
Unfortunately, Alistair, Anora and Loghain were all casualties of her journey, and in the process of burning herself out she ended up taking them all down with her. It was an ugly mess, but it was my first playthrough, and often times that's the one that sticks, isn't it? Even after replaying the same character and making different choices and giving her different endings, that mess of a first playthrough is the only one I feel is her genuine, legitimate story. I guess that's detached me from the need to give Alistair a truly happy ending, despite how much desperately deserves one, because it doesn't feel real for me. It's cute, but it's "alternate reality," it's all those alternate characters and playthroughs that you don't take as seriously as your main one. That's why I feel icky about retconning her death, even if a sacrificed Warden was worth nothing in Inquisition after all, and a living Warden still has some minimal hint of continuity. It wouldn't feel right.
My Hawke is completely different question, though. Different times, different story, different wavelengths... I need her to be happy. Hawke suffered too much, she lost too much, she was hurt too much for nothing that was ever really her fault... I don't know if I could say I feel closer to one or another character because they're both my darlings for different reasons, but while my Warden's life means nothing for me, my Hawke's happiness means everything. Even if her love interest is not a particularly tragic figure, and is mostly the guy I chose to make her happy (as opposed to how I made my Inquisitor to make Cullen happy), I couldn't bring myself to split her and Sebastian because that'd be one more thing she loves and loses, and I can't handle that. (lol, how melodramatic
) And I definitely could never sacrifice her life over... pretty much anyone but maybe Bethany. And I'd still cry for years if I had to do that.
SO, what I mean is, to me it's on a case by case basis. I don't think I could sacrifice my Hawke and my Trevelyan because there are circumstances to their survival that I'm not willing to give up.... but my Cousland is easily a goner, and should probably stay that way. ![]()
Yup, I think so too, even though he wanted it too happen he knew in his heart it was a pipe dream. Cullen/Amell > Over anyone else.
I wish that they would let us get these two in a room together to talk a bit. I could see it going something like this..

Frank: Cullen
Alice: Amell/Surana
Phoebe : Fem_Inquisitor
" I need to borrow you."
" I would like that."
Cullen likes to be borrowed. Hm...
