That was a good laugh. But completely unsettling because it sounded just. like. Cullen.... And... No. I imagine that this would be bad Red Templar Cullen... Because that seems like the sort of thing a Red Templar might like, yes? Well at least in my idea of them they would. LoL.

 

I think I need to look into some Greg Ellis flicks. I will admit I'm pretty sure I've seen none of his work. Not even any of the Pirate film(s) he's done. But I can't get enough of the Cullen voice right now so.. I sense a marathon in the near future.

... just got to the part where you run into Cullen and some soldiers fighting. Turns out he actually says something when you run up to him while he's fighting. I guess my subtitles glitched last time and I didn't see this, and was too far away to hear it, so thought he was giving me the silent treatment for some reason. 

 

 

 

Kekekekee. I decimated them with a combination of firestorm and mark of the rift. Cullen and his forces were just standing there the moment I entered the field.

What's scary is that it could have easily happened both in-game and during the creative process. If Cullen hadn't surprised the writers/devs with his very vocal unexpected fanbase then I have no doubts that he would've had Samson's role in DAI.

More importantly, was it just my playthrough or does elf mage need one less flirt to initiate the romance?

Actually, that's something that disappointed me about the pro-mage quest in DAI:

I thought that depending on which advisor you sent in to deal with it would've have different results, or that we'd at least get to see what became of the other two advisors and companions when we got sent into the future.

We saw what became of Leliana, but I would've liked to discover that Cullen had been forced to take red lyrium and it had started growing out of him, but that he was still coherent and recognisably him. What with his strong willpower maybe we'd be able to bring back what remained of the man he once was just enough for him to request a mercy killing or something. Then with Josephine we could've found her locked up somewhere completely broken and out of her mind or whatever.

... Man, it's such a horrible thing to even want, but that quest could've added so much more heartbreak, and created more of a sense of urgency by showing you what could potentially happen to everyone if you fail to stop Corypheus. Sure, I was shocked and sad for Leliana, but it would've had even more of an impact on me seeing my love interest and favourite companions in an utter state, and subsequently would create a personal reason not to fail.

I don't think it matters if you miss the first couple of flirts with him no matter what race you're playing.

if i had a twitter i would have asked him to say the super nerdy things with a dragon age twist ala "Autobots/Inquisition....let's roll out!"
Or "Sword of Omens/Andraste, give me sight beyond sight!" 
Or "I'm the name of the moon/Inquisition I shall punish you!"

For some reason he kept running from me like that Golden Halla in the Exalted Plains. My Quizzy chased him all over the area, thinking she would get at least a small dialogue. The rest of the Inquisition surely think their illustrous leader is a bit crazy  

Oh well, at least I managed to drive him to the wall and take some screenshots)
