Couldn’t agree more, if they didn’t have time or resources to make additional cutscenes, they could at least scatter around the Redcliffe castle some letters, telling about your advisors and companions fate. Actually, for me the overall game falls short in the emotional intensity department. Bioware could have made DAI so much more dark and heart-wrenching, but we got what we got.
With the grave situation going on throughout the whole game, and how even the cameos from the previous companions all sound worn down and tired like they've been through hell and back, you'd have thought things would've felt more dire in general, lol.
I dunno, I still can't work out how they went wrong with that one.
