Agree. I've seen several in this thread whose work I love. I don't know if it was just my electronic copy. But there were typos! I'm a writer myself. I understand that typos happen. But that's what editors are for and if you're going to be a "professional" then don't release a book with typos. But again, it could have just been in my electronic copy. I'm not sure if the physical books were like that.

 

It's not just the electronic copies. The physical copies are just as bad, although I think they did go through a reprint and fixed some things. And yes, it's a badly written book with bad editing and bad research. I honestly can't understand why they're so popular.

I'm going to avoid the age conversations except to say a lot of you are younger than my younger daughter. And yes, you can get smuttier with age, I just can't write smut

Depends on the mom. My oldest daughter's partner was a bit...startled to discover she and I would be IMing, and she'd casually add "Someone's chewing on my neck and groping my boobs, I think I need to go."

I always assumed that piece of banter with him zoning out at the war table was supposed to be a small hint at his lyrium withdrawal making him a little scatter brained, since usually he's completely on the ball with everything. Plus, I've always got it either towards the end of Haven or just before he tells the Inquisitor about how he's gone cold turkey.

I think I got it before I even left Haven to go to the Hinterlands (I actually haven't gotten very much war table banter so far). But if male inquisitors are getting it, it's more likely to be lyrium related, especially since I'd only taken one flirt with him so far.

it's a good cause. We would have to start at the conclave of Twilight and 50 shades of cheese. conclave goes BOOM and everything turns into smut from there on.

Yep! I frequent there as well.
Although the stuff I've read is probably pretty limited. I usually stick to Cullen/Amell pairings for a couple reasons. I didn't connect with Hawke and I didn't want to read Inquisitor stuff until I'd actually played through the game.

I have read some Hawke stuff though. R2Muse's stuff comes to mind!

Gosh, I'm tame. I've always had this nice little head canon where the Quizzie and her crew ride back into Skyhold late and she sets it up so Cullen gets a breakfast tray brought to him the next morning with a nice little note from her.. "Complements of the Inquisitor." The note gets a bit descriptive about how many places she didn't know sand could get into and how the poor maids had to refill the bath twice! Poor things, it was so late. Oh, and would he be nice enough to return the favor and see to it that she gets her lunch because she really shouldn't oversleep? ... (the obvious implication being that he should maybe take a break and bring her lunch and visit since she's been out in the field for a bit ... and who knows what might happen)
