The gift-giving system for companions is essentially gone, though there will be some opportunities to do so. Players will build relationships with companions by helping them achieve their goals. Romance in Inquisition will be largely based on conversation.
The Inquisitor will be voiced using both an American and British accent. Players will get to choose which they prefer. “It’s all about choice.” Laidlaw said. When asked if other localized versions of the game will have similar choices, Mike responded in the positive.
It was previously announced that players would run into a character of significance from The Masked Empire novel recently released by author Patrick Weekes but Laidlaw snuck in a hint that it’s possible that players may run into several of the book’s influential characters. Whether any of them will be able to be recruited as a companion or not remains to be seen.
Okay I must have missed a bunch of stuff. Was gone for the last week and had no internet to boot. I saw the trailer, it's pretty neat, other than that I have no idea about the new stuff, is there a page where I can read it all up?

So, I know this has nothing to do with Cullen, but I just read from DG's blog that Gwendoline Christie aka "Brienne of Tarth" will be doing the voice for the Femquisitor a voice in the game.
Edit: Okay, so I may have jumped the gun here. I'm so excited to know who's voicing the Femquisitor, I saw that she was doing some VO work for DAI and my mind was just like, PERFECT. Ooops.
I still hope I'm right.

I so hope she is the english accented female voice.
No.
My overly-tired mind just got overly-excited. Alas.

Thank you!
I don't get it though .. have all the companions been revealed other than the scene in the video?
If Gwendoline Christie were to do the fem!quisitor's voice I would probably cry. I love Brienne so much, and she does such a good job with the character. I know acting and voice-acting are very different, but I would be happy knowing that femquisitor's voice was in good hands.
Thank you!

No, they haven't "said" anything, just the video

As I don't watch Game Of Thrones, I had to look her up. I watched an interview and I couldn't help but think she sounds like Vivienne.
HOW.

Ah, now that you say that I definitely hear Vivienne. Hmmm...I guess this just adds to the speculation.
She probably thinks that it's a demon in disguise or something, since we're not meant to be able to physically go in and out of the Fade like that, LOL!
Yeah, I really think Cassandra's reaction is pretty reasonable under the circumstances. My Inquisitor won't hold it against her. In fact, I think my Inquisitor will respect her more for it.
I really wish I'd somehow been doing a reaction video when I saw this picture.

Have we discussed the possibility of Cullen being a red templar? I don't want to go searching through 451,855 threads if we haven't, but also don't want anyone to have to repeat themselves.
I can't see Cullen voluntarily becoming a red templar. I think it's possible he would decide to totally change his life after Kirkwall - I can see him leaving the Templar Order entirely, for example - but I just don't see becoming a red templar as a natural character progression even so. I don't see anything that would attract him to it, and a lot that would make him wary of it after Meredith.
I guess could see him being forced/coerced/tricked into it somehow, which would be pretty sad for him but would feel more in-character to me.
And all Templars switched to pants, except the red ones, becasue those are too crazy to care?
I totally misread this as all templars switched to pants as long as they weren't red pants, because red pants are too crazy! I kind of had to agree. ![]()
And to keep it on topic: do you think certain types of response from your Inquisitor would be a turn off or turn on for Cullen? Like a personality clash? Not a rivalry per se.... I just wonder if part of the realism of interactions would include the notion that some LIs may react favorably to certain kinds of responses? Which do you think Cullen would like better? Paragon? Flippant? Aggro? Or would it depend on the situation, do you think?
I think it would depend on the situation. I think Cullen would enjoy joking around with the Inquisitor during a relaxed period of downtime, but if you started cracking jokes while he was trying to have a serious conversation or while there was a crisis going on, I think he'd get annoyed. For the most part I think he would appreciate a polite and civil tone because he's polite and civil himself, but I also think he would appreciate an Inquisitor who could be aggressive toward enemies or even be direct with him if he was making an error in judgment.
I guess what it comes down to for me is I think Cullen would prefer responses that were sensitive to the circumstances rather than the Inquisitor taking the same tone all the time.
Can I count on the twitter thread Cullenites to post the important/relevant info on here for that twitter party? Or do I have to go get a twitter account?
Well, we could, but wouldn't it be more fun if you were there too? (Do it! Do it!
)

They did say #Hornsup.....maybe it is Viv :3

I really do want to watch it, and read the books (especially after reading about Christie's character), but I don't think I get the channel it's on. I think it's Sky or something and I don't get Sky.
Its on HBO...although idk if it changes in Europe...

You can buy each of the seasons on DVD or Blue-ray.
It's worth it.
