Yeah but Cajun French is slightly different than mainland French; all of those are pronounced the same... "shah" (same short "a" sound as "cat").

 

I don't even know the proper spelling of the word we use. Generally I just see it spelled as "cher" or "chere."

 

"Aww, cher baby!"

 

"Hey, cher, how you doin?"

 

Is mostly how we use it.

 

Oooh this is interesting. Well I don't know anything about Cajun French, only French spoken in the Continent

So there's no use of "Chéri(e)"?

Well, it translates to what I wanted, bar the "you".

 

Why stop?

 

Well there's no real English equivalent for the French vous v. tu. But "tu" is what you hear in pop songs... so that's how you refer to your honey. It makes a big difference.

 

English doesn't really have formal and informal address like French or Japanese...

I'd start getting a complex is someone kept calling me Cher... my uncle said I looked like her once, when I was a kid. Good to know that I have a horse face, I suppose.     

 

Ahahaha of course I knew of our word before learning about Cher, but then I did not know how our word was spelled until my 20s, and so I never associated the two, cause we don't pronounce it the same!

Speaking of which, in that first Skyhold convo, you can ask him if he ever sleeps, something else, and then the bottom one is something like "is something wrong?" Has anyone taken that third one? What does he say in reply? Also, what is it that stops him in his tracks in that scene? I like to think he's captivated by the Inquisitor, but I suspect he does it regardless of race or gender, lol.

Nope, not that I'm aware of! But sadly I don't personally speak it; only old people still speak it, and also people who live in the country

So...anybody think the door leads to quizzie's quarter is at an awkward location?

Imaging one morning you LI wake up late after a long night, they walk downstairs half asleep with bedroom hair, eye bags and only half dressed, they opened that extremely loud wooden door find they are facing quizzie sitting on the throne alone with dozens of soldiers, noblemen, advisors and some poor prisoner, all turn to stare at your LI in awkward silence...

Now I kinda want that happened in the game...

 

Well it's actually better than jumping from third floor while screaming HEYA SOLAS GOTCHA ANYTHING TO TALK ABOUT??

 

Still I wish to see half asleep Cullen..urgh. the only thing that game is giving to us that he has awful nightmares ;-;

I only test the first two choice so dunno about the third.

 

About why he stop him in his track, in my theory, Cullen's an emotional person deep inside. He was deeply touched that the Inquisitor agreed readily to take the risk & sacrifice him/herself to let others escape. That's a huuuuge things that he appreciates & he can't help worrying (romanced or not ). He wants the Inquisitor to know that.
