Just killed my first dragon - the Crestwood one - Bull's one happy merc!  I would have left it alone, but no, it had to some swooping down on us, and as we all know, swooping is bad... 

 

All this talking about wrestling etc with my brother/nephew has helped me make up my mind to try and ignore the arthritis and try to get a bit fit again.  We'll see how long that lasts!

Congrats on the dragon. Every time I kill one, I'm astonished.  They're so intimidating.  I'm determined to play my entire 2nd playthrough on hard, so I waited to level up considerably before I even attempted it...with varying success, I might add.

The Abyssal one wiped us out, but we got about three-quarters of the way to bringing it down.  I have to say they are just awesome.  I really want to just gaze at them, even while they're burning my Quizzy to a crisp.  The people who worked on them deserve an award all of their own.  I'm playing on Casual, cos of my hands.  Hard would be beyond me now.  I'll probably give it a go at some point, for the lulz!

So I finished the the game... and was having some Culen withdrawals, I turn to fanfics to fill that void. I usually just read on ff.net and then discovered archive of our own from one of the authors. I went there and I was like..

 

 

What is this magical place~

 

I don't know why I haven't visted this site before. I also noticed most of the stories w/ a lot of kudos are mostly *ahemsmuttyahem*.  Only reaction to it is "tsk tsk my fellow Cullenites" then shamelessly click the kudos button too *^^*.

Me too, I love reading fanfics and books on my spare time. I'm taking advantage of it right now as I have free time before the term starts again.

Ahh yes, I remember when ff.net was like that before *cough*. I'm still getting used to the layout of it as I am too used at reading ff.net but still didn't hinder me from reading one story after the other xD

Is it just me, or is Bull really quite ostentatiously polite to Viv?  She just told him in another world she'd be ordering him to haul water to fill her bath, and he just said 'yes ma'am'.  He always addresses her as 'madame' too.  Intriguing!

OH! Can someone help me out with the frakking Hissing Wastes?

I think one of my landmarks isn't triggering... it doesn't show up on the map and it doesn't register that I found 8/8. Can someone confirm for me where I'm supposed to plant the flag for the Colossus Statue? I think I did it... there's a black Inquisition flag at the foot of the statue, before the stairs down to the tomb ... but I can't complete the quest, so maybe I'm wrong. I don't see a pyramid on my map, tho, either. I may be bugged...

Is this the one with the Last Step "x" or something along those lines? Bc I think I read that that is supposed to be where you plant the flag (I think you even can?) but for some reason it doesn't trigger as a landmark achieved. A lot of people, including myself, had that issue.

But I'm not sure if I'm thinking about the right area or not so I could be completely wrong on what your asking. Lol

About Crestwood: oh really?? How & where?

 

About Seb: I mean they should've consider him before making him attack Kirkwall in DA:I. This guy get potential really. Imagine that you don't kill Anders, he got so angry & threaten to attack but then with all happen he finally went to Justinia for help. And Justinia asked him to come to Conclave. For some reason he escape the Big BOOM and finish by joining the Inquisition "to put things right" but now he got his faith shaken and/or started to see different perspective about the whole Anders thing (even if he still not agree with what Anders do). I'd pay to see that story happen.

 

I'm not much into super religious & preachy guy, but imagine Seb whose main point is now questioning his faith.... hmm...

 

In all my PT's Seb actually assists Kirkwall? Maybe because I always execute Anders?

The x is called Colossus of Orlais, supposedly. It sure looks like I planted a flag there, at the foot of the big statue with its arm out raised, from the concept art. I have x's for every other location.

Actually, I am surprisingly cheerful at the mo - usually, this close to Xmas, I am wrapped in a duvet, and being very depressed.  Not that I'm complaining!

Well, if you start feeling depressed over the holidays, come in here and look for someone to chat with. I'll have one day (still undetermined) with my oldest daughter and her partner visiting, but I not only live in the boonies, the town dries up and blows away over the holidays.

For me he Attacks kirkwall because my charcters keep Anders alive because she doesn't care to much over a person that oppressed her people.

Yes. He does the opposite if you let Anders live. An outcome I will now ignore in my world, just like Alien 3 & 4. :/

I always liked Seb more...accent and all...

 

I went for a "rival-mance" with him hoping something would come if it but of course you get nuthin'. 

 

The one time I romanced Anders I kept him alive but that was it. Most often it was my boy Fenris anyways.

I just made a playthrough with a romanced Anders to see what would happen with the Seb stuff.

 

Considering my Hawke talked about them being together, but not actually being perfectly ok, I probably will just keep him dead in the next ones.  Too much angst for me.

haha! I literally just found this too and being a writer I don't typically read other Cullen centric fictions, but it actually seems nicer than ff.net, which is my primary fanfic resource and posting site.

 

AO3 has my vote of approval though

I really love AO3, I need to move my stuff over there, since at the moment all I have uploaded to them is a not finished smut involving Idunna.

I transfered Before I forget over to AO3 after finding it. Although I did all 4 chapters as a bulk post so sadly I may've lost readers there, because of the 16000 word entry. I think I'll be posting my cutesy one-shots primarily to AO3 and gradually drift away from ff.net.

 

I like that it gives people much more freedom in liking/commenting without forcing an account on them. Much more user firendly too.

 

It is though. I've been with ff.net as an author since 2010 ._. Noticed with other fandoms they're much more updates via AO3 than ff.net. Seems the king of fanfic resources may be on its way out.
