Not necessarily. They always have actors record every line in the game in every way possible, to make the most of recording sessions without need for recalls later. That's how femShepard had lines for Ashley's romance and mShepard had lines for Kaidan's romance, even though they never planned to put those romances in the game, or how male Hawke has the line about wearing festooned dresses in MoTA. Doesn't mean they ever planned to make the romance bi, just that they had the lines recorded in case they became necessary for one reason or another. If people dig enough into the files there're probably male lines for Sera and female lines for Dorian too, in there.

I'm a fan of the gating in general...I wouldn't change Dorian's preference either. 

 

Yeah, especially since Dorian's personal quest is all about his father wanting to do just that.

 

(I do however find it cute that Scout Harding has a crush on him regardless)

I ended up making him more human because I felt like he naturally did so himself a bit. And well it's not like I can understand spirits, but I agreed with Varric - he is acting more like human to me. He wanted to help Cole, but he couldn't, so..I wanted to give him that chance, like ''in another life'' scenario. Helping people and knowing that they will thank you. I don't want him to hide.

But there isn't bad way to complete this quest - Cole is happy either way, no matter of what you choose. That's why I love him

Okay I'm just going to point out that Dorian's story, which deals with a father trying to "turn" his gay son straight, is not the same thing as rewriting or modding a straight character as bi. 

 

I hope everyone can understand that.

All I know is if they make Cullen bi then they have retconned his character to the point of insanity. Not in DA:O did he flirt with the Mage Warden if he was male, nor did he flirt with a male Hawke. I would have no issue with this whole thing IF there had been some sort of indication of it and yet there was none. So if they did make Cullen bi then why not just screw with all the other preferences. Make Sera straight, make Dorian bi...make Cass a lesbian. When it comes down to it we have not seen any evidence of Cullen being bi and until Bioware actually says something about it and confirms then take it with a grain of salt. I am personally against mods that change a character be that their sexual preference or even the color of their skin. I know the reason why some people do it and I understand it, but I just think they are wronging the character they were presented with.

 

Since most of you know me I hope no one takes this offensively I just wanted to add my little piece to this...whatever this is, lol!

Having now finished my 3rd plathrough, romancing Solas, boy am I glad that Cullen was my 1st choice. Because wow, that hurt like a mothaf****. And that’s knowing what was gonna happen, can’t even imagine if i had gone into it blind.

Already planning my 4th PT where I’ll be romancing Cullen with a human this time but I need them to fix the damn banter bug first. It’s no fun to play when the companions don’t talk to each other I had Solas and Cole with me the entire time and they talked to each other like twice. siigh

See both of my current elves (I've yet to decide who I want to romance who with them) have been avoiding Cullen like the plague because their dear creator has absolutely no self control and would probably click on every single flirt option available.
