I have a question: So today, I got the awkward convo where Mother Giselle confronts the Quizzie and Dorian about the distasteful rumors, and I had to wonder ... Where on earth is she getting her gossip from?! Obviously, she's not talking to the soldiers because it surely hasn't escaped any of their attention that the General and Quizzie take a lot of strolls on the battlements for "debriefing" when she's in the Keep. Or are the rumors about wild threesomes?

 

 

Well, don't forget Dorian is an eeeeeevil magister. Why else would he be around if he weren't blood magicking his way into the Inquisitor's good graces? Plus, don't forget Josie mentions there are rumors about the Inquisitor with half Thedas.

 

Plus, I have this theory that she was making up the rumor herself to help her speech about how having Dorian around was bad for the Inquisition.

 

I'm not putting all these past her actually. I just caught her "partaking" in these rumours about the quizzy & Dorian just this evening.

 

That's the first time she get negative point from me... always like her before.

She gossips? I hadn't noticed, but then I tend to keep forgetting I have a garden in the Keep, just like so many other places in there. That reminds me that I need to go visit Morrigan since this version of her ought to have child in tow. My last Morrigan didn't and I want to see if she behaves much differently.

Actually, no, I don't like Anders, but I don't hate him. I can excuse a lot right up until what he did at the end. Where Blackwall was redemptive, Anders was spiraling out of control. Perhaps if we got to see him on the other side with an upward swing and acknowledgement that his final act in Kirkwall was wrong ... I don't know. But we are left with that final impression of him which is pretty poisonous. Imagine if your last impression of Blackwall was him ordering that massacre. That is also pretty poisonous.

 

But I am consistent in that I wind up letting both characters pay for their past actions and can't see myself playing a character where it won't happen for either one. My only Anders romance was the first play through, and he didn't leave it alive.

 

In plain language, there really aren't any characters that I hate. That takes way too much of my time and energy.

 

You have similar view of Anders as I do ^^ I actually was fairly positive about him until Chantry explosion, he wasn't my favorite but had his moments, but after that I guess I lean on negative side. I don't think there is justification for what he did so much and it just went too far. Emotionally blackmailing my Hawke who romanced him to be part of it wasn't nice either ^^;

Nah when I just finished Dorian's personal quest with his father, the next thing that happen is that Mother Giselle was there. I chose only the second dialogue in the wheel (violet one in DA2) and it kind of trip Mother Giselle to admit that she had participated actively in spreading the gossip.

Of course Mae would be charmed by Cullen's awkwardness. She had so much fun teasing Alistair the last time. It's probably a good thing she doesn't come to Skyhold, she and Dorian and Quizzie all ganging up on Cullen would drive him crazy.

Sorry if this is old news, but I just discovered through the sound files that someone posted on tumblr, that apparently Cullen was originally intended to be bi..? Is this legit?

It's news to me and blows my mind! Mainly because I love toying with the idea of Cullen/Dorian, on the shamelessly shallow basis that they're both extremely hot and lovable   As much I would've looved to see that in-game, I can definitely understand why he would be straight, rather than bisexual. Oh well.

Oh well. 

 

See a few pages back and whatever your opinion is, I beg you please be very careful about this subject, it's like honey attracting fire breathing lizards on Tumblr. This thread is really nice & I wish that it won't be a war zone...

Oh wow, I thought I've been keeping up with this thread but clearly it moves too fast for me   I actually thought it was odd I have not heard more of a commotion, but I guess I'm just out of the loop. I don't really have an opinion about it. It's an amusing piece of trivia for me, and just makes me want to giggle about Dorian/Cullen jokes, but that's it.

Sigh.  If they want to romance either of them so badly, why not just roll a toon of the appropriate gender?  I'll be doing that with Dorian.  Or is that too drama-free an option?  We're living in a world that's rapidly going down the toilet, and this is what concerns some people?  Maybe I'm just too old for this ****, and should take up knitting instead!

From what I had seen it had caused quite some commotion & nearly created a Fade Rift between Cullenites.

 

Well, when I saw that my first thought was... "Oooh so there might had been something going on at that Chess Scene!" (since Cullen-Leliana chess scene is much colder & scary). Then I remember Dorian-Bull (which I quite ship due to Tevinter Mage-Qunari Warrior dynamic).

But anyone CAN romance him.  You just roll a toon of the right gender.  I'll be romancing Dorian with a male toon.  If that's what it takes, then that's what I'll do.  In fact, I'll create him later and post a pic for our unofficial Quizzy gallery!  I really don't understand all the drama on this.  Maybe I'm just too old or something.  But I do know that if we go too far with this the thread will be locked, or purged, so we need to leave the drama on tumblr.

 

Not everyone is as flexible in their role-playing. I personally don't have a problem with doing such a thing but I know of people that are not comfortable with it at all. We don't know each others private lives and history, we don't know what each individual has been through so we can't assume that everyone should just get over it and roll a different character just because we can. People spend their lives trying to figure out who they are and battling with their sexuality and a little bit of understanding and empathy can go a long way. It doesn't have to be a huge debate just a simple acceptance of this is how people feel no matter what their opinion.
