Just as a general comment, please use discretion as to whether or not you should publicly share someone's tweets from their private twitter account without their permission.  It's typically put as private because they do not want to draw attention to themselves nor do they want what they tweet to be seen by unexpected parties.

Oh dear. I thought her clarification *helped* matters. I hope she's not  receiving hate. :frets:

I found this to be interesting about Mother Giselle, that I also really like her before that. And then that whole episode really p!ssed me off. But I liked that they didn't make her, or anyone, the perfect saint.

Can you remember what she said?

I don't mean one specific thing. I mean the fact that her nose was out of joint over Dorian being gay. And then helping to spread the rumors herself. Grrr.

Oh, I get ya. Yeah that annoyed me a bit. But as you said it is good to see her saintly image tarnished a tiny bit. Characters need to have flaws or they would be incredibly boring.

Yeah, YOWZA. I mean, I'm saddened by the idea of him being so upset that he loses his cool since he's usually so in control of himself, but there's also something deliciously enticing about him feeling so passionately about something that it breaks through that armor he's usually so good at keeping on. So to speak. It's a rather primal thing to let the emotions inside you take over, so seeing him give into it is...tasty. And it's been established that he'd never go so far as to deliberately hurt anyone with his bursts of emotion, so I like to think we're safe in indulging ourselves in the thought

Edit:

There's also such a physical aspect to his manipulation of objects. Hmnng.

I never loved Alistair more than when he got angry with my Warden for making him king. And I love Dorian for his worry-anger. It's really interesting (and also hot) to see those normally tightly controlled people losing it just a little.

Really? I always thought it was about him being "the evil magister from Tevinter corrupting the inquisitor" and nothing to do with his sexuality. I got the exact same dialogue with my female quizzy as she became friends with him.

Sorry, wasn't aware that it was tweeted from a private account, and since she tweet it to give clarification of the situation I assumed it was meant for the public to see.

Well, mine was a female Inquisitor who was friends with him, too, and that's how I interpreted it. I mean... a high level revered mother getting involved in a personal issue like that with his parents? If it was really 'he's evil,' why collaborate with other evil Tevinters, aka his parents? The whole situation stunk to me. Then she helped spread the rumors, too? It's was just so petty, to my eyes, so it really brought her down  a peg for me.

Yeah, Giselle's beef with Dorian had nothing to do with him being gay. It was about you associating the Inquisition and the Chantry sections aligned with it with evil blood-thirsty Tevinter magisters (which, as Dorian puts, is what the South understands all Tevinter mages are).

nah I didn't liked mother Giselle, I had that feeling that she wants to brainwash my Quizzy. And, besides problem with Dorian, it's was awkward as hell when I told her that I hate being called ''Herald of Andraste'', I'm an elf after all, and then she goes ''lol nope I don't care time to sing some chantry bits''. My Lavellan shared the same face as Solas I think.

still thanks to her I got to hear Cullen's singing voice 8D

And some on the BSN also think like this as awhole.

That's the way I interpreted it too.  The slap option would have been good there.  Or an option later on to drag her into the Fade and let Stroud out!  It reminded me very much of the good, pious people my parents went to church with, who became convinced I was devilspawn, purely based on the fact that I became a Goth.  They didn't actually speak to me, it was all based on how I looked.  Hypocrites-R-us.  I did enjoy hearing my mother tear strips off some of them when she overheard them discussing my appearance, mind you!  :D

I.. don't know if this is something has been decided to not to discuss about but apparently Cullen was intended to be bisexual in some point of DAI making but it was cut off. I wonder if this kind of means that he is still bisexual and just happens to be only straight LI in the DAI (cause of time and resource restrictions) or did they cut him out intentionally and decided he's now straight. Hmm..

Well, one not very romantic Cullen moment that I really love: (Warning main quest spoiler), (Warning BAMF Cullen)

Edit:Cullen at Field Trip :P

Spoiler

Cullen: Alright kids, this is our itinerary for our day at the zoo! Those on the right will head to the lion house first! Those on the left will head to the monkey enclosure! After lunch, we all go to see the penguins and the dolphins!

Jim: Err sir... why are we heavily armed?

Cullen: It's to take advantage of our "military discount".

Jim: Sir, that's not how it wo- oh never mind, can you just tell me... why did be bring the trebuchets?

Cullen: To kick the arse of the flamingos, naturally?

Jim: Because...?

Cullen: A friend of Sister Nightingale asked the Inquisition to take care of those "uppity feathered fiends"... and the Inquisitor decided this was both important and hilarious enough to send me to deal with this, despite my very vocal objections on the matter.

*randomly bumps into the thread after a longer break*

so i've started my 3rd dai playthrough today (:

this time... I PLAY WITH GREG!! yeey!

CATCH A LINK TO THE AWESOME ALBUM WITH SCREENIES OF HIM

i'm so happy how he has turned out... at some angles he looks so much like greg ellis! ;u;

and i find it oddly amusing when he talks with cullen x] like he was talking with... "himself"

gregception?

That. Is. Awesome! :D

YOU!!!  I'm dying!

This is how I imagine Cullen carries out all the war table missions that he doesn't want to do. Treating them as if it's the most important thing in the world that he must do, as both a testament to his dedication to the Inquisition... and as a coping mechanism to deal with yet another boss who's clearly insane.

Ooooh I could have kicked her for (a) trying to make my Inquisitor trick Dorian and (b ) turning up and having a go at him for basically existing, and trying to make out that he had undue influence over Inquisadora. Clever Inquisadora was able to point out that Giselle had clearly been indulging in said rumours herself and luckily Giselle left before she got her motherly arse kicked over the balcony and powerslammed through Solas' desk.
So much for her message of tolerance.

I do imagine him carrying them all out with such a straight-faced expression of duty  as he orders his troops to go pick Embrium and has to make excuses as to why his troops have essentially become flower-girls for the day etc.

Until that point she'd been all helpful and nice and comforting, reminded me of my grandma. Although, my grandma can also be a real b*tch on occasion so maybe the resemblance -didn't- end at that point

I.. don't know if this is something has been decided to not to discuss about...

Go back about 10-15 pages. It was discussed, it got out if hand, everyone felt bad, we've more or less agreed to let it go, for everyone's sake. There's a whole thread about it on Feedback and truckloads of drama about it still going on over tumblr, where everyone can dump their feelings without getting this thread closed over that. :)

I love that image, the Inquisition forces at Lake Luthias splashing in the water, wearing flowers in their hair and frolicking around...

All while Cullen's standing there, facepalming...
