yeah I think they rationalized it by the way the show is less supernatural and fantastical than the books. It's more of a medieval fantasy but stoneheart coming back would make it harder for an audience to get into it. Something like that [spoiler/]

I myself am disappointed as well. Great character you love to hate!

[spoiler]Which I sort of miss, the supernatural elements (like the visions etc.) helped us get to know the characters while foreshadowing future events, also the title "A song of ice and fire" is a prophecy itself so yeah, I miss these things

I've read the book Hobbit, but I went abroad last Christmas so didn't make it to cinema to watch the second movie. When I came back realiazed that every friend of mine has watched it, one of them was extremely cheerful when she found out, because I usually know more when it comes to movies, she felt like it's her chance. Long story short, she said with a evil smile:"I'm gonna give you spoilers." So she did. I waited until she's done, then I said "Thorin died". She stared at me blankly for about 30 seconds, then I add "So are Fili and Kili." So...yeah...I'm an evil person.

 

Ha! That's brilliance manifest.

Speaking of tragic unintentional spoiler, before second Captian America movie was on, My friend's friend ask her to go watch it together and comment "the bad guy looks pretty interesting", my friend ask "who? you mean Bucky?". Her friend didn't speak to her for a week because...spoiler...

I think you-know-who will be in it, and it'll be like the episode 2 cliffhanger ending or something like the Purple Wedding in S4. I know they said loads of stuff about it being difficult to make interesting, but the actress who would play that character has hinted about it in the past. She took a picture of a heart she made out of stones, iirc. And I'm pretty sure the only book reader on the cast is meant to be Kit Harrington if the rumours I've heard are true. And either way, it'd be a dick move if she wasn't playing her.
 

I haven't read any of the GoT books. I watch the show, however. It's one of my favorites. I adore Jaime and Brianne (sp?). I love Lena Headley. And I love Cersei... But the brother and sister thing has got to go. That gives me the creeps.

Cersei's the bestest! And just think, it's better than all the other relationships she has. (Especially if you headcanon away that scene in the sept like you're apparently meant to) Plus, they're pretty much the hottest people in Westeros and the other hot people are either really far away and or dead.
  

Man, I feel sorry for you guys on PC. I'm on Xbox and I have had zero problems.
 

 
Yeah, the impression I got from the last season is that he brother sister loving wont be going anywhere.

But of course! As much as I adore some of the dwarves in the Hobbit, the elves are still vastly cooler
