Um, wait, now that I'm rereading that...

 

In the first sentence he talks about regretting not having that kind of bromance. In the second sentence, he's talking about Varric having the "same kind of depth" as a romance, despite not being one.

 

I think... I think Varric just got confirmed not a romance?  Unless that was just a poorly constructed sentence. Someone tweet for clarification.

Yeah, they probably wouldn't answer, even if it was true, since the phrasing is so unclear. It just reads... odd.

Didn't a dev say in an article that he's just too attached to Bianca? I'm not saying that he is or isn't and for those who want him as an LI I hope you get him!

God no! I'm way too uncoordinated to do anything so epically cool! I am the proud Mama of two beautiful skaters one of whom is adorably gumby but possessed of great determination and another who I'm led to believe possesses great natural potential, all the physical attributes a competitive skater requires and a lothesome attitude! So basically apparently if I could just pull a justice/anders merge on them then we'd have something to look at!

I keep suggesting they skate to DA music but apparently I am not to be indulged!

The full quote is this:

I read that as to Varric's status in DA2, not DAI.

I'm still bummed even though it's not confirmed but gosh, we got him as a romance and I can't see the Devs making a throw in romance just to make folks happy. So what I'm trying to say is I think it'll be great and have a lot of interesting dialog and content!

I'm not upset (I'm actually quite excited about it) but I know others still are. I think most are choosing to just not talk about it.

My biggest regret is we may not be able to put him in diffrent armor sand try out different outfits for him. That one he has there is OK but...still. :/

(As weird as it is to admit that I'm bummed I don't get to play Cullen dress up lol!)

Ahh I'm embarrassed now cause my post was so dramatic this morning But I was seriously upset (I'm still a bit choked up when I think of it too much). Gee, I dunno why anyone would miss me; most of the time I'm the pompous a$$ who just corrects everyone's grammar

 

I know they want to be inclusive and they're definitely sensitive, good people. Doesn't mean they will make the decisions I'd have made; people have different ideas about what it means to be sensitive and inclusive. But I'd surely love for you to be right.

I was disappointed at first, but now I'm seeing the positives. From an in-character standpoint, I think this is better for Cullen, so I think that from an out-of-character standpoint it'll make for a good story arc for him.

I honestly think the NPC romances this time around will be good...I mean, I've said this before but, the NPC romances in ME were with people who weren't relevant to the story, while Cullen is relevant to the story, so he'll have good content :3

My hopes for a Varric romance are low. One of the producers.. Mike or Cameron... Was asked about it and they said they knew the answer, but didn't want to say outright because DG would punch them in the face ( ) but then said they could give a hint and went on about Varric and his love for Bianca, the 'bow. two days ago I'd have been fine with that.. Then I saw yesterday's trailer and I went from "ya! Bromance! Ultimate wingman!" To "my dwarf inquisitor MUST HAVE YOU" instantly,

Speaking of which, I'm a right ungrateful wench: yesterday was AWESOME but already I'm all "gimme moar!" I am dying to see better in-game footage of Cullen! To get a better sense of his frostbite incarnation! And just MOAR in general!

Well Tinkerbell falls over a LOT and Minnie can be grace personified IF she feels like it, the wind is blowing from the East and someone somewhere has sacrificed enough goats to please her.
