I guess I would have to say we don't know if Cullen is straight, gay or bi?! Haha if they have set sexual preferences who knows who is going to get who?

 

Because of his interaction with a female mage in DAO, it's fair to guess that he'll be either straight or bisexual. That said, because he's (likely) a NPC, I'd bet on him being the bisexual LI. It's the fairest way to do it, so every sexuality gets one NPC romance.

I was thinking of asking when/if GE is planning on playing the games to see what all fuss is about Cullen.

I'm a little upset, sure. I would have loved to see him in action - and maybe we'll see the Pillars in action at one point or another. But I am very interested in seeing him as the Inquisitor's military advisor - kind of like in Awakening. We'll be equals. (That's why I like the Garrus romance so much.)

 

 

I hope they release a list of LIs and their sexuality. That's a must know for me.

Comments? I'm not sure it would end with just comments. Now, that I think about it, undressing in public might be a bad idea. I could have ended with a fist in my chest. So yeah, I regret nothing!

I am cautiously optimistic about the npc romance thing. 

 

One thing I will miss is dying in battle and hearing Cullen's anguished cries. Yep, I enjoyed that in DA2.

I'm really hoping he's bi (Yes I'm sure you all know that lol) but again if he isn't it's a bummer but I can just play a female. I feel bad for others though who don't like doing that. It's probably easier for me because I never play as myself in games like these.

Now on a totally different topic that involves real world psychology! I doubt Cullen will be the gay option but in the real world it could be a possibility because (spoiler because it's a sad topic and an adult one)

Cullen suffered a great deal of trauma at the hands of the desire demons and other demons, and we also know that if he was attracted to the female Mage that torment was in part sexual. There have been many cases I have personally counseled on and read about where if a person is traumatized sexually they sometimes switch sexual preferences. There are cases of women becoming lesbians after a sexual attack, and the same is true for men who are attacked by women. Another interesting factor in this is sometimes men who are assaulted by other men actually become gay. This isn't relevant to Cullen, just general information. But in the real world it could be entirely possibly Cullen decided that he felt safer with Men because he had been tormented with female bodies. I don't think that's what would happen in game of course, just an observation. Also I know people really want that Mage romance but psychologically speaking that would be very unlikely to occur in the real world with someone who has suffered the way he has. Blood Mage love? No, I'd almost say it was impossible. Again this is a game but I really want the writers to do a very good and believable job if they make either of those possible.

Well he's not exactly shy of making smarty pants comments himself so I very much doubt you will draw the wrath of the Gods upon yourself. He's nice, if you're worried just tweet an apology and forget it!
