But I thought you could get different coloured formal outfits by crafting them ...? I didn't do white and blue because of stats, but I had Solas waling around in a smart green one for a while. Okay, not for Cullen, but still.

You have to remember that they need some T&A in these movies...hence Liv Tyler having way too big a part in Lord of the Rings.
I've read all the books and I still enjoy the movies for being what they are. However, I did very much like Tauriel's completely added character more than what they did with Arwen.
Eowyn is definitely cooler than Arwin. Giving her a bigger part in the movies did nothing for me to like her more.
Also as a side note from being way too preoccupied with writing....I still can't make a decent male PC.

And there are one moment that Cullen drops his voice to a whisper in such a hot way... only happen if you're a mage! (my noble Trevelyan didn't get this).

Not on his chest, like a stamp, but in the details, in the small personal things that are his, that he chooses to wear on his own, instead of a standard issue uniform that sums up everything he's about.
Again, this is possibly unintentional, and probably just a matter of redesigns looking cooler this or that way, but if it was done on purpose... that's some really neat symbolism there.
I hope it was intentional! Speaking of the sword of mercy, what does everyone think of Solas' wall paintings as you progress through the game. There's a silhouette of a figure with at least three arms holding one (pointed down).

Arwen is cooler. Eowyn was just annoying with her puppy dog eyes every time Aragorn made an appearance.

Um, okay, no, I finally have to say something lol Arwen was not included in LOTR for T&A. She is not naked in any scene and is never, EVER presented as a sex object. EVER.
Arwen is not even IN the original novel(s). Why, because Tolkien simply did not think to write about women. Women had a place in his life, and that was in the home. It was the 30s/40s/50s, and he was very old-fashioned. So that is reflected in his work. Even Eowyn only goes to battle to be with her "love" Aragorn and ultimately gives up her sword and shield to become a "healer" once she finds her "proper" love.
Jackson and co. increasing Arwen's visibility in the narrative AND altering Eowyn's motivations AND including Galadriel in The Hobbit AND creating Tauriel were done as service and acknowledgment towards FEMALE fans. Because the original narratives are essentially boys' stories, stories about boys going on journeys and having adventures WITHOUT women. I am grateful to him and his team for what they have done; they really thought about appealing to female fans and making them feel included; they wanted to show that women can go on adventures just like men can.
The only issue I have with Tauriel is the love story... in my opinion, in order to be a well-written female character (not just a trope) she needs more motivation than a boy she just met to leave her home for the first time. But ultimately I think her character was handled well and the actress did an excellent job.
Just my two cents on the matter; could not stay silent any longer

We were joking about that thing, how he is the only one to ride it. Like why does everyone else ride a horse but Mr. Prettypants gets a frigging moose?! Probably there are loads of moose out there; guy probably has a whole stable of them, but no one else is allowed to ride them. And considering his propensity to banish people for stupid sh!t, there is probably like this whole other elf village on the outskirts of Mirkwood populated by people who've been banished from Mirkwood. So you're just like hanging at the bar in said village and ask the guy next to you, "So why were you banished?" "Got caught trying to ride a moose." "I hear you, brother, damn that guy, amiright?"
