The pirate just suited me particularly well, he's very straightforward, no games. He's pretty cool with almost anything you do, as long as you're honest about it. I wanted to smack Doc, Corso was playing up the farmboy too much, and Aric's had some great moments (did you get the line about "my quarters, 5 minutes, bring your blast armor"?) If you keep in mind who Vector is, his is a great romance (though I'd have preferred Lokin).

 

I think I remember that line with Aric...his was the first one I finished so it's been a while. 

 

I read that Bioware had planned on making Scourge a LI but cut it. If only they finished! So much of the dialog you get with him and your other crew members alludes to his *ahem* influence over you...my JK was pretty disillusioned with The Order so she and Scourge got really close.  

 

I went so far as to head-cannon that one of my SW was their daughter (you know, since they have that whole legacy/family tree thingy).

Hah! Yeah, that would've been great. I imagine Cullen's face would turn a shade of red vivid enough to camouflage his face against that furry mantle of his. He pleads for you to talk about something else when you talk to him about sex early on and your Quizzy is presumably nice enough to stop...but Sera is clearly far more relentless. I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up sprinting away with the excuse of attending to important matters elsewhere.

For me, each Bioware game has one LI cause me to make the same choice over and over...
ME is Garrus for female, Liara for male
DAO is Zevran
DA2 is Fenris
DAI is Cullen for female, Dorian for male.

Apparently the game has decided for me. I was going to go with the Qunari for my next playthrough, but then I discovered that some of the armors don't display properly and just show the character in her casuals... How is a bug like this even in the finished game? ~_~

Oh well. The upside is I get to romance Cullen again.

Alistair and Cullen come joint first for me, though Alistair wins out of the two since these latest audio discoveries of Cullen's still present infatuation with Amell/Surana being in-game sours the romance for me, makes me feel like the Inquisitor is a poor consolation prize (yeah, I know he's over it if romanced, but that's not the point). Kaidan comes third.

 

Not gonna lie, I've never been happier that my Warden was a Cousland. I thought I might be missing out on Cullen content by not having a mage Warden import, but I'll take having a couple less lines of dialogue if it means Cullen's not an obssessive creep in my game, and my IQ is his true love, not just his sorry consolation prize.

If it helps, it's only happened to me once so far. The biggest problem is that apparently there is a distinct lack of variety in the armours qunari can actually wear.

Of the ones I've tried: metagame baggage aside, in terms of how big my cartoon heart eyes are about the character as a whole, my top list would go Cullen, Carth, Kaidan, Alistair.

As far as Volume of Feels, I'd go Alistair, Kaidan, Cullen, and I assume based on how wrenched I was at his friendship arc Blackwall will make this list, but I haven't started his romance yet. EDIT: Fenris would probably go here too if I'd played da2 unspoiled.

As far as who I'd actually want to be in a relationship with IRL, probably Kaidan (who is a lot like my husband), Cullen, Garrus, Zevran.

Not gonna lie, turns out there's a silver lining to that awful choice in the Abyss quest after all, LOL! After that I made Alistair King and turned my Amell into a Cousland, thus no more Amell bwahahahahaha! ... Still don't like making Alistair King though.

Seriously, knowing the man's still obsessed if not romanced has kinda put me off Cullen's romance arc a fair bit. Like, I get that it's a nod to Amell/Surana shippers but I think they could have done in a way that doesn't seem a bit unhealthy, lol. It was fine with just the mention she got when the Inquisitor asks him, I don't think the rest of that war table/messenger dialogue was needed at all.

... Makes me wonder if the ambient stuff was recorded before he was made romanceable.

The only factor I'm aware of is if he's unromanced.

Well, it was a thought, though it kind of sounds as if it also has to be a Leliana romanced Warden maybe? I'm not too thrilled they inserted that myself unless it involves him being lyrium addled or something like that.

::pokes head in:: I've got a human mage who's romancing Cullen and I know Leilana teases Cullen about his romance with the Quizzy as I've had that come up.

 

Do any of the companions make any comments about it? Dorian has when I went to talk to him once. Any others? I loved teasing Dorian about leading my female Quizzy on after his quest with his old man. It's even funnier telling him not to stop flirting with you.

Yeah, I'm kinda going off King Alistair myself. One, my mistress Tabris got no content acknowledging the romance, and two, he only appears in the war table if you go for the templars. And even then, it's ridiculous that it's Alistair instead of Anora who's Queen in my canon world state. Why was Alistair leading the peace talks with Orlais instead of her? He even says in the message to the Inquisition that he's a pretty incompetent diplomat.
