HA! Same here - my fur babies are my children...

 

I have quite the zoo...2 dogs, 6 cats, 2 ferrets, 2 snakes and a 14-year old green iguana. Most of my cats were rescues...I'm the "go to" person with my local vet to hand-raise litters of abandoned kittens so that they can find them homes.

 

I'm forbidden to bring anymore cats home. I grew up with them & have raised some since birth. My current 2 are both abandoned cats, one was 3weeks old crying outside my bedroom window one morning (the mother cat dumped him there - currently he has taken up the whole PC desk & my keyboard barely fits), & the other my partner rescued from bus pits with her 3 older siblings (I work at a school so I made sure they went to good homes & weren't put down). When I'm away, I miss my pets more than my partner... ssshhhhhh!!! don't tell him!!! (I'm pretty sure he knows... he always gets greeted last lol)

Aaaah all of you intrigues me! Who is this Garrus & Thane & Kaidan? Is ME worth playing? I've tried to see some videos on YT but... can't understand it since I don't know the context at all

Me is definitely worth playing    If not only for the Calibrations *giggles and runs away*

Mass Effect was my first BW love. Granted, DAO was great but Mass Effect really pulled me in.

 

It has a decent story (baring in mind the ending to ME3 that is still controversial at best) and the characters were great throughout. I'd give it a shot if you're into space exploration, racial politics, and fearing the reapers (don't fear the reaper, anyone? ).

 

Anyways, I'd definitely recommend it!.

Miniature schnauzer is most awful dog breed I know. They are very popular around here and I guess their owners never bother teach them anything since they also bite a lot. It's actually common problem with small dog breeds, they bite and bark all the time and owners don't give a f since they are so small and cute. I have never seen angry big dog that didn't know how to behave but lots of small one's ^^;

 

A lot comes down to training... I'm not fan of small dogs but if they're trained well all dogs are pretty good (lots of lazy owners out there)

Garrus is, like, the best thing EVER to come out of a sci-fi series.

ME is essentially DA with guns and spaceships. Wasnt best keen on ME1 but loved ME2. Also, Garrus. GarrusxFemShep is a thing. Always

Here, like someone said, there are a lot of puppy mills turning out dogs with unpredictable tempers, and irresponsible owners. Sad.

I'm house sitting 4 dogs right now, two which are poodles that bark and EVERYTHING.  I can't imagine dealing with it every day.  I will think happy thoughts for you.

My daughters are fanatical about the games (the first 2 anyway, they disagree loudly on the 3rd), very sci fi/space oriented with lots of aliens. I've been familiar with some of the characters for years, but never tried it until now because of the controls. Speaking as someone who is mildly dyslexic and arthritic, I'm finding there's a steep learning curve with the controls for me, but I'm trying to stick it out (I'm enjoying it so far even if every fight is a struggle with the controls.) FemShep's VA is fantastic (she also voices Krem, I think?) As for those characters, I haven't actually watched the Thane romance. Kaidan's kind of cute (his first flirt reminded me a bit of Cullen). Garrus is a bamf, totally confident...until Shep flirts with him. And there's a conversation about cross-species romances (apparently gossip moves faster than the speed of light on that ship) with the ship's doctor whose advice can be roughly translated as

Honestly, there are many parallels between Cullen and Kaidan, which is why I always find it funny when people bash Kaidan, yet love Cullen.

They share many a personality trait.

Anyways, I do think Cullen was better done, between the two that is.

Also completely unrelated to all of this: The last few times I've tried to start a new PC I've been getting that fun 'on a ledge in the moutains with no health' glitch instead of going directly to the cut scene...guess that's a new bug that came with the patch?

I actually liked the ending for ME...kinda keeps with the gritty story that not everything can end with sunshine and rainbows. Then again, there is a fantastic PC mod out there called MEHEM (Mass Effect Happy Ending Mod) that is fantastic. I recommend playing thru as Bioware intended at least once, with the official extended cut of course. Then get the MEHEM mod. 

 

Oh and don't forget Citadel DLC!

Are you using the 60fps cutscene workaround? Disable that for character gen...that's what causes it.

So going back to what we talked about yesterday regarding Cullen and Surana/Amell, I just read a well-written fic where he cheats on the IQ with Surana...man I didn't think just reading that would tick me off so much! Not angry at the author in the least, I'm just angry thinking about that situation!

 

I'm going to go back to my little world where Cully-Wully has moved on with his life and realizes that what he has with the IQ is real love.
