There is a codex thingy about how the King seems worried and distracted from his duties, and that people suspect that is due to his wife going missing... obviously Alistair knows where she is, but the public don't know that, lol. Still, even knowing where she is he's still gonna worry. He was worried as a Warden Alistair, so I can only assume the same rule applies if he's King too.

 

Would you happen to have a screenie of this codex entry? I'm so curious! I have one PT with King Alistair/Cousland but I haven't gotten that far yet...

The choice didn't really bother me...I think we'll be seeing more from it with dlc...we haven't found out yet how that turns out...

So I'm 6 dragons in, I've closed all the fade rifts everywhere except Emprise du Lion and the Hissing wastes and ready to take on the Big Four before finally finishing playthrough #2. Only, I'm absolutely petrified I don't think I'll ever be tactically good enough to take on the lv23 and I've pretty much run out of quests to do I don't think I can level up any more without chasing animals..

That's a good point. It's just that every fiber of my being screamed in agony and totally rejected even the whisper of such a tragedy.

I -am- only playing on Normal I managed on Hard until the battle to save Haven- so not very long at all

Me either... I'd never even heard of him until you guys started discussing him here! Still don't know where he's supposed to be...

First time I found him was in the Tavern, second floor I believe. He changes places in Skyhold each time you talk to him though. Second time I found him outside of the mage/templar tower

alistair is my canon warden's lovesick husband, and she was bffsies with anders, who was romancing hawke, so when That Choice came in the abyss i just had to shut my computer and start a new game.

You mean the last Emprise du Lion one? I actually found the second one the hardest. But it was mainly because I kept Fade Stepping Vivienne off the roof! Plus, she was really good at knocking out Solas before his AI would kick in and try rezzing my Quizzy.

The choice at the abyss was easy for me.  I could never fashion a Hawke that I actually liked, sooo...the choice was a no brainer for me.  Plus, any sacrifice is worth getting more Alistair. He was my first RPG love! And he is so sweet and sad as the warden and I remembered how much I loved him all those years ago!  Also, getting some face time with him in the new game showed me that they actually did a really nice job with his face in the new game.  The short cameo as King does not do him justice.

 

Sigh...I even went back to the massive tome I wrote ages ago with him and my warden. Alistair....such a treat!!!

I found quizquisition guy just once... in my bedroom closet. I had no idea who he was, and when he asked a question, I answered in character... gave a wrong answer because there was no way my inquisitor would know the true answer. Oh well lol

LOL Seriously?? So... he just pops around skyhold asking questions...? Outstanding. Reminds me of the muttering dude at the Hanged Man who kept talking about being a character in a story.

I'm setting myself up for the hard choice this PT. I'm really glad I knew in advance... so I'm prepared. I loved all my Hawke's but I'm prepared to send this one to the Maker to spend more time with Alistair.

Oh, I feel the same way about Alistair, so I'd never let anything happen to him if I could help it. But my Hawke...well, I just really identified with her. I could never willingly abandon her. And I have to admit, I would never willingly do anything that meant Anders had to go on without her. He needs her, so...no. Just...no.

I made up a Hawke and playthrough that I have never actually had when it came to making Alistair a Grey Warden... it helped.

Wait... treasure vault??       Man... it's like there's a secret skyhold I've never seen!

You're still my hero at this point...I play on Casual! I use the xbox controller on my pc and it's kinda difficult to be tactical with that. 

 

I did start off my dual-dagger rogue on Normal and haven't dropped the difficulty on her yet.
