Rude and Vulgar? That's no concern of mine! Besides, you're the cool one because GREG ELLIS said you wuz pretty! And then he followed Samara and I almost died. I loveeee when he touches base with his fans :)

I felt truly blessed that day. I love when they take pity on fangirls.

Well, someone had to supply the Templars with red lyrium in the first place. And the Wardens were pretty interested in the Primeval Thaig ...

Yeah, I really don't have anything to add to that theory, but I could see it.

It could be possible that behemoth in the Grey Warden keep used to be a warden instead of a templar. /shrugs. I can see wardens rounding one up and trying to examine it like mad scientists.

I don't think grey wardens are huffing the stuff in the end. Definitely up to something though.

Alas, I would LOVE to have a cat but my boyfriend has a bull terrier and she's his baby. If I got a cat she would rip it to shreds. And apparently Chico (his BT) is queen 'round here and if she doesn't like cats we don't get cats. :'(

LOL my brain read that first sentence as "I would love for my boyfriend to have a cat butt." I think I need to take a break on paper work so I don't. Es something up!

Also thanks for liking the picture I posted of Cutie Pie lol!

I have a meeting in the morning and a guest coming after work. I should be either sleeping or cleaning. Why am I reading the Cullen thread instead of doing either?  :P

Also, I am irrationally angry that birds pooped on my car - I am feeling like Shale right now!

I love DGs back story about naming Grey wardens. How they were going to be white wardens but the felt that implied they would be too good, and black wardens sounded too sketchy so they shot for Grey!
I wonder what Templars think of wardens really? Maybe Cullen can give us some insight about the relationship between the two groups.

There's a mulberry tree right by our driveway... The pavement is absolutely riddled with purple bird crap. Pelted a couple windows too.

I have a crabapple tree by mine. Not only does it attract the birds who then do their business on my poor car which I am so fond of, but I step on the berries and track them all over the place. When I first moved here, I couldn't figure out why I was finding red stains all over the floor at work - crabapples, from my boots!

Oh, Templars voiced their opinion a couple of times in Origins :) They think Grey Wardens harbour apostates, blood mages (which is totally true), and they actually sent a templar to join them and spy on them (the templar who turned on Anders when he took Justice in). So, well, looks like Templars don't like Grey Wardens much. :)

Before the game came out, each character had a short story released about them written by their writer. Anders' story had a templar who seemingly joined the ranks of the wardens to keep an eye on him.

Anders' story was definitely, um... Quite a bit more colorful?

Yes, that one, Rolan. I hope they'll do something like these stories again. I'd love to read a bit about what the NPCs I know were doing between DAII and DA:I.

Ah, just give me Cullen's biography already

HOW HAVE I NOT READ THIS?! Ew! Also, um, he could not be dead, then? That dude stabbed him and so did Hawke (on 1 playthrough) and he appeared dead. Oh my. Ohhh my. That... definitely makes him very different for me. Yikes! Thank you for posting! Can't believe all my googles have never turned this up.

Anders is very much dead if you stabbed him in DA2. Justice is another matter, however.

If you scroll down a bit Mary Kirby confirms it.

I really liked Justice in awakening, I thought he had a really cool perspective of things. If we do seem him again I hope it isn't vengeance we meet!

Hard to say, we don't know how spirits work. Anders' anger transformed him, but I don't know if he'll revert back to his previous self when cut off from the source... Or stay vengeful.

I should also state that the permanent bias against other is ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE FOR ALL PEOPLE. So if thinking Cullen is one of those rare cases helps when romancing him, go for it! :)

You know, it actually does, and I say that with no sarcasm.

Warning, personal post ahead.  ;)

It's actually pretty appealing to me to have that kind of happy ending in a game, because I can't guarantee it in real life. I don't want to see a character's trauma glossed over, and I think the writers have done a fantastic job with Cullen so far - but I'm okay with the long-shot happy ending even so. It's a fantasy, it's escapism, yes, but it's kind of fantasy I need sometimes. Maybe it's not healthy on my part, I don't know, but it can be comforting to imagine positive things sometimes.

If there's one thing I've become sure of regarding mental health, it's how unpredictable it is. I've seen people we were pretty sure would do fine absolutely crash and burn in ways that made me shudder. I've seen people who have the ability to exercise self-control simply fail to grasp why they should do so, and unexpected difficult decisions have to be made. But on the other hand, I've seen people I thought did not have the slightest bit of hope survive and thrive and go on to lead full and amazing lives. I don't necessarily see the exceptions as out of the question. Yeah, it's totally rosy and unrealistic - but it gets me out of bed every day that there are exceptions, and you never know who it's going to be.

If my Inquisitor can close demon portals with her magical green lightning hands and ride a bog unicorn, Cullen can be the best case scenario.  :D And it makes me happy to imagine that he could be, because real life is tough enough.

I'm just blathering now, I'll shut up and go to bed.  :P

Although it may not seem like it from my response, I thought your post was well done and informative, and I appreciated it. I was going to just click "like" and leave it at that, but the typing urge came over me again.  ;)

Still, idk. Playing DAOA, I liked Justice and Anders. Seeing him in DA2, I guess not having read that, he didn't seem that bad. Until Act 3.

So apparently Anders did not eat people, and the writers were offended that people got the mistaken impression that he did.

When I read it, I totally thought Anders ate people.  :P
