I keep it because I know I'm going to be returning to him so it'll always be near him anyway. (◕‿◕✿)
He wants luck to be on your side, but he also shares with you the warm parts of himself that he managed to keep safe after all this time - the parts that you help coax out of him. In entrusting the coin to you, I feel like he also gives a part of himself to you because he feels safe with you, too. I thought it was a very symbolic and sweet gesture, metaphorically speaking.
Much like Cole's message to Cullen about how the center was always there kept safe inside him, like a coin kept in his pocket, or whatever.

Hmm, I had always had the impression, especially after the DAO city elf origin, that elves weren't allowed to do anything connected directly to the chantry. I mean, they won't even allow them to get married inside the chantry, and there are a lot of other things in DAO and since. But I never read the books; I wonder if they retconned it to give elves a little flexibility, or if they just came across as more absolute in DAO than they meant to. I know I've recently encountered someone recently who I believe informed my Dalish that most of the Chantry clergy believes that elves and dwarves are even further fallen from the Maker than humans, so can't be allowed to serve.
As far as dancing, the poorest of peasants danced in medieval Europe, and they certainly show it in the CE origin in DAO (not to mention people complaining that there'd better be dancing at the wedding). The difference is in the type of dance. Anyone who could learn the peasant dances (which were often very energetic and required a lot of coordination to avoid throwing your partner into someone else) could have learned court dances fairly easily, they just wouldn't have been given the opportunity. I'm assuming any rogue at least would be more than coordinated enough to pull it off well.

About Cullen's coin, who among you decide to keep it, who refuse & ask Cullen to keep the coin himself?
I'm having bad time deciding, since it gives me so much guilt to take away his only keepsake from his brother... The only thing that he own that comes from his life before. But it's also his way of saying now the inquisitor is part of his life, which says a lot.
It was sweet of him to give the coin as a gift.
But I let him keep it. After all, it does belong to him. Plus, I like to think that my Inquisitor whispers her own elven prayer to add to that luck.

Speaking of fanfics...any challenges going on around?

Other way around, actually. Templars get a stipend, but it's so small that it's not enough to support a family. This is where the "Templars need permission to marry" rule comes from - they need permission because the Templar's prospective spouse must be able to support the family on her/his own. Aveline and Westley were likely allowed to marry because she was in the King's army, and could support them both + any family they might have one day.
Templars don't need to earn much money in any case, since they're not allowed to have personal possessions anyway (Cullen was breaking the rules with his lucky charm), and everything else (armor, weapons, lyrium, housing and food etc) is provided by the Chantry. Nothing much left to spend on.
On top of that, in Wesley and Aveline's case, they were in a pretty small area, so that particular chapter might have had a little more allowance and leeway.
True, I didnt think of that! Kind of hilariously hipocritical of me, since i've ranted at length about the chantry not allowing possessions and blah blah slave labor blah blah horrible treatment blah blah dehumanization, only from the mage side.
Some flycam snaps from earlier this week to make up for my screw up! ![]()

Last I checked, and it's not really a challenge, but a few people were writing scar stories *shrug*

But Elinar got Zevran and hooked up Alistair with Anora. I plan on using that save with my next playthrough. I'll tack it onto my mage Hawke save.
If only there was an option for you to do the political marriage with Alistair and Anora, become his mistress AND hook up Anora with Zevran!
Because that at least, might earn a "Thank you" from her... (for once) ![]()

Yup! That's what I had in mind, haha. I love Cole so much for all the insight he gives us about Cullen. Precious cinnamon roll too pure for this world.

I wish we could ask him for more insight about the companions and advisors properly, it's hard to trigger him to reveal stuff like that.

You're definitely going to have to teach me how to do that! I've taken the screenshots, just literally have no idea what to do next!
Okay well you have to make sure you have your setting fine turned to the point of where your PS4 is connected to facebook, youtube, or twitter. You follow the directions those settings give you and then once you have your PS4 linked you go into the storage thing for screenshots/videos and upload them to your desired social network. It's actually pretty simple!
Or you plug a USB stick into the front and copy the images to there and then to your PC. That's what I always do.
Then I can edit them to my heart's content before I upload them to Photobucket. ![]()
That's Fenris' VA Gideon Emery. DA series have so much great VA like Greg, Steve Valentine, Gideon Emery, Jon Curry, Leliana's & Morrigan's & Miranda Raison...
Anyway, R.I.P Queen of Antiva
*Cullen needs a hug*
I knew that Samson's VA was also Fenris' VA in DA2, but then when DAI rolled around I'd played through almost the whole Samson quests and totally forgot that it was the same guy.
I did catch him as the mosaic collector dwarf Gatsi though, and I'm pretty sure Seggrit is also him.

Plus me thinks it kinda paints the HoF as a sorta-twit..would love it if the quizzy did shove her face in the dirt! ![]()
Different strokes for different folks...I just couldn't even picture this happening...but it makes my heart hurt for my quizzy even though she has nothing to worry about!

Yes! If anyone could get her to relax, it's Zevran.
