So apparently Anders did not eat people, and the writers were offended that people got the mistaken impression that he did.
When I read it, I totally thought Anders ate people.

I'm probably one of the only people that could give less than a **** about him blowing up the chantry. The only thing that bothered me as that he didn't trust Hawke enough to tell her what he was doing. I understand he didn't want her helping, but he kind of involved her in the end anyways so that's a lame excuse to me. I have a lot of sympathy for him though. I remember listening to this split of Justice and Anders voices in DA2 and it's so damn sad. Like I didn't even realize how much of what "Anders" says is actually Justice speaking or influencing him. Pretty much ANY time he starts going on about mages you can hear Justice speaking with him. I never kill him because that's what he and Justice want, to be martyred for the cause. DG said it IS possible to separate them, if Anders actually wanted to.
My Hawke knows Anders is a good person and she loves him. She's not going to give up and let Justice/Vengence win. Which he does if you kill Anders, since he'll just find a new host. In Act 3, the codex even says Anders considers Hawke the only reason he's retained any sanity at all. I just can't bring myself to kill him, and I can't leave him because without Hawke he'll go even more insane. So she'll say with him as long as possible, I suppose.

On the other hand, what if the Wardens have figured out the red lyrium was an awful idea and are trying to keep it away from those Templars? But then who was attacking them in the new trailer? Were those red Templars or the Inquisition or another faction?

You know what pic with Leliana seemingly in the party means, right? That we'll possibly have at least one or two quests where we can actually take her, Cullen and the chick wearing gold and blue out with our party (presumably for their plot relevant quests), kinda like MotA in DA2 where Tallis took up a party member spot but wasn't actually part of our party, except maybe this time the NPC will be the fourth person with us.

I don't think so. I think his vows of chastity was just something extra he decided to do, to show he had chosen the Chantry over his former lifestyle.
This was the impression I got too - that it was a personal vow to renounce his former lifestyle, not something mandated by his role.

That would certainly give any NPC romance a little more depth and encourage banter with them between him/her and the companions. If that's the way they've taken non-companion romances then I'd ideally like to see at least 1 sizable quest with the npc-LI. The said interaction with companions and love interests in general is mostly conversation based again, right? I read in one of the many new articles that romances/friendships/etc also develop via carrying out their personal quests too, or something, so I wonder how that's going to work.
The full quote is this:

I like this dialogue a little more each time I read it. It makes me think of Cullen as the big brother keeping his younger brothers in check (with Fenris- who's the second oldest- and Anders being the bickering middle children and Alistair being the typical little brother

I hadn't realized *quite* how behind I was. Seb also talks about it in his short story, and the chastity vow is one of the reasons he almost flees the Chantry.

From the same article... that next sentence is what's making me sweat a little bit:

I agree; also, is it canon that a brother has to be chaste? Obviously, Leliana was not.
I think Leliana was a lay sister, she hadn't taken any vows. Sebastian was a full brother, he *had* taken vows.
I don't know what canon is, but Seb *had* taken a vow of chastity.
Anders is what brought me to the BSN in the very first place, because after my first play through of DA2, I was kind of obsessed (*grin* Shocking, right?), and as I let Hawke run off with him, I was fascinated by, well, all sorts of things, and I could write a 1000 words about it, but I won't here. 
Sebastian, though-I take him with, pretty much strictly because of Alec Newman. I love that man's voice. Love.
