ikr? Thedas has only one rule.

Don't **** with Divine Vivienne!

Or hardened Leliana. Scary!

See, I prefer having Leliana and Cassandra stay in the Inquisition since both are/were companions/LIs to our protagonists and felt more involved than what Vivienne ever really does. Vivienne joins with the intention of getting the Inquisition's backing to further her own means, so her being Divine feels right from that standpoint. However, I don't really like how she locks all the mages up in the Circle again, more freedom or not... but I'm also not sure letting the mages run free is a good idea in case they do something stupid like the Tervinter magisters did.

LOL, bloody idiots!

Dur. I'm trying to make choices that'll put cass in, not a complete unheaval but a necessary restructuring. I picked the options for colleges instead of freedom or circles though and viv loved it. Hate viv...

Anyone know the magic conversation formulas yet to get who you want? I'm the Inquisitor dangit!! I should get asked these things and they should listen. Mind games I tell you...

I think it would've been hilarious if the Inquisitor could've become the Divine, I saw concept art about how originally it was going to be implemented. It had a male Qunari Inquisitor sitting on the sunburst throne with Cassandra looking pissed off and Leliana crying, LOL!

Well my views are pretty much in line with Vivienne's. Gotta keep mages educated and safe so they don't turn into abominations or moustache twirling villains, which only hurts the perception of mages more. I imagine her Circles largely like the way she described her personal Circle experiences only slightly better. Cassandra's pretty much the same, but it doesn't seem to go into much detail with her so I can't be entirely sure.

Maybe Vivienne is the way to go for now then, until the next game(s) make it clearly how badly our decisions come back to bite us in the arse, LOL!

Cass focuses more on the templars and seekers and rooting out the corruption and turning them back to their roots which they lost somewhere along the way.

Maybe. I think either Vivienne or Cassandra will be chosen as Bioware's canon Divine. Leaning more towards Cassandra since she seems like the easiest to just default to since her changes are so middle of the road and she has the least effective grasp of power.

While I definitly wouldn't want to lose either of them from the inquisiton, I feel like Vivianne would just be a rubbish Divine. Reform clearly needs to happen. The Templars are in a bad place and the Mages are also in a bad place with the current system. The status quo is no good at all.

Yeah I think that makes sense with my theory.

Ah, yea that does make sense. I was happy with my result, but I was confused on how I got it since I totally missed telling Cass I supported her by saying I had my own plans after Cory was defeated.

I'm actually worried that since Leliana's vision is so extreme they'll just have her get assassinated or something if she's made Divine.

I'm pretty sure cass wants to keep colleges instead of circles and have the mages rule themselves. Agree that I think mages having complete freedom would be crazy, kids blowing up their parents in tantrums and stuff, but I believe they have the right to rule themselves. Mages watching for other mages, instead of giving templars this unwarranted sense of superiority that they have to watch them cuz their weak. They are human, and theory and practice are a long ways apart

See, I thought it would be Leliana since she's always been the favourite, but I reckon you're right. DG said his canon is Vivienne as the Divine, so maybe that's the way to go for the "best" outcome?

Exactly. Which is all well and good, it's just her Divine ending doesn't detail specifically how mages benefit. Obviously, we can assume and guess that they do, (why wouldn't they benefit from better governance?), but Viv's and Leliana's is just more explicitly outlined in what ways they benefit.

Honestly, for a lot of these kind of things, I'm thinking they're just leaving their options open for any future plots they want to explore, rather than go down the super nitty gritty Origins route of explaining every tiny thing that ever happened ever after and writing themselves into a corner.

That said...

You think after Redcliffe they would learn......
DragonAgeInquisition2014-12-1623-27-45-9

Hey speaking of redcliff, I updated my keep to say that the warden let them all die, redcliff was overrun by dead in origins, all bad stuff. But when I went back there, they still have that griffon statue up and I got a codex entry but can't find it. Anyone know if the warden screwing them over had any impact??

I made a baaaad warden in the keep, one I could never actually play, like stabbing lelianna and morrigan, and it makes for some nice dialogue.

Apparently Leliana is less extreme if you are able to successfully soften her again, she's supposed to be more like the previous Divine... I haven't managed to successfully do that yet though, LOL!

My ending said she was specifically working on how to make reversing being made tranquil safe for mages, so that is a benifit. I think you might only get that line if you have the conversation with her and tell her to look in to it, and I think you only get that if you are a mage.

Leilana can either be a very nice divine or a really nasty one. You've got two chances to change Lei's outlook on things and if you say the wring thing you're screwed.

Apparently if you side with the mages, she reinstates the Circle, but the mages under Fiona reject her invitation to rejoin the Circle and form the College instead.

Yeah. I think if it is her, it'll be because she's the favourite, but otherwise her reforms are pretty big.

And really? Awesomesauce. I wonder how much my canon matches up to the rest of the devs? I'm really curious to hear all their canon world states now!!

Wonder if her backstory had anything to do with it? I mean, a stabbed betrayed lelianna would be tougher to soften in my mind. A couple of calming words from quizzy shouldn't change that I would think.

Yeah, it glitched in mine so she still turned out as one crazy b!tch, even though the rest of the time she was super nice, LOL!

My warrior was able to tell Cass to look into the reversal of tranquillity to make sure it was safe. Don't know if having the magic knowledge perk had anything to do with that.
