@LolaLei that sounds like a bug/glitch to me. That's got to be annoying. In DA:O did you harden Lei or soften her? Not sure if that has any bearing.

I wouldn't mind if it could be avoided by taking the time to do everything right, prepare correctly or whatever, but I don't much fancy losing anyone if I don't have to.

 

I'd be ok with that, but it was super nice to have a happy sweet ending for once.

 

I'm wondering, since someone asked about the choice templar/mages, what are your thoughts on that one? *despite the fact that you get the extra Cullen goodness with mages*

Since we don't know exactly what happened with the templars, they just vanished and barricaded themselves in somewhere and don't talk to anyone and such, on the other side you have the mages who are suddenly ruled by some seemingly evil magister from Tevinter with a hidden agenda and time-bending-magic to boot.... yeah, seems to me the mages need quizzies help a bit more. Even though I enjoy/like the templar one more (and the templars need your help as much as the mages do, but when playing for the first time, with no background knowledge, I'd think mages is the way to go for someone who is trying to sort out their mess. On the other side... The breach in the sky is here, right now. Try to sort out the mess the mages have put themselves in or go to the templars and talk to their leader to let them help with it. Again, without further knowledge the templars seem to be the easier way to get support for that.

 

Actually if you do the Champion of the Just you do learn exactly what happened to the Templars. Having done both I like the Templars path better, despite not getting the extra Cullen content. Honestly both the Templars and the Mages created their own issues in either case.

To be honest I'm not hearing much more than gibberish whispering. Watched it with my eyes closed to prevent the "subtitles" from influencing what I heard, but even eyes open reading along I'm not really picking it out. :/ I'm always skeptical about stuff like this though because your mind always looks for patterns in everything even when there are none. That's why people hear voices in white noise and see faces in burnt toast. But I may be wrong, it would be interesting to find out if there really is something in there.

From what people have roughly worked out the whispers are talking about Mythal and possibly Solas... something about going to the Altar of Mythal and someone is calling to them or something.

This is very confusing at times... I always end up with far more questions at the end of each game than what was answered.


What I do believe is

that the "song" heard by the darkspawn & wardens close to their calling is the same sort of "singing" that is described that red lyrium does... now for me that makes me think whether darkspawn corrupted lyrium or if lyrium was corrupted first... by something else. I know Cory has explained what he believes happened and now he's a darkspawn so assuming the tevinters were the first darkspawn, still "who" or "what" tainted them? The Maker? I dunno about that. Whatever the case darkspawn & red lyrium are connected imho... for me it's just a matter of who, what, where, why & how (if someone knows cause I'm no lore expert, let me know lol

Interesting how the voices say Solas instead of Fen'harel/dread wolf you'd think Mythal would call him that. :/

Hey, guys!  It's been a while. I've been having some trouble with my game. Long story short: DAI pre-order got messed up; had to re-order; game delivered very very late; crappy computer; ordered new one; waited a while for this delivery as well; finally managed to play. Phew! I hope I didn't miss anything. I am playing now, but the damn game is overheating my CPU. >.< Still, at least can play... for gods know how long...

 

So, since I am still on my first PT and I'm one for exploring and doing as many side quests as possible, it will take me a while to beat the game. And since I don't want to get spoiled, I will have to keep avoiding the forum for a while longer. I have been keeping myself unspoiled until now, and I don't want to ruin it all now. Though, I miss being here, on the forum.

 

Hope you guys are having fun with DAI, and Cullen.   Need to leave the forum now. If you guys need anything, you can find me on Origin. I also have a Twitter account, but I don't check with it much, so it's more likely to find me on Origin... playing DAI.   Just thought you should know.

 

ALSO, my origin ID is gamerMSV now, as I have changed my account name here as well. My Twitter ID is also gamerMSV (changed that one too). Thing is, people kept mistaking me for Gamermd83, and that was never my intention. Benefiting from her fame is wrong, and I don't want that. And I'm sure she doesn't either. Plus, I needed an ID to be mine. I should be more careful with staying original, huh? So I figured changing my ID would be best.
