That seems rather strange. I've never had that problem. I've got 21 inch screen and KotOR looks perfectly fine running at 1024 x 768. Even running at it's default 800 x 600 it looks ok.

 

The comp you game on do you have admin rights? I know KotOR is picky about that.

 

Yes I have admin rights...

 

I have a thing about running games at less than my monitor's native resolution...also the graphics are just too dated at this point. I have a thing about graphics...once they go beyond a certain age I just can't bring myself to play anymore. For example, I tried playing Morrowind and Oblivion again and was like NOPE!

 

That's why I figure KotOR will look fantabulous on my phone's ~6" screen.

Mmm. Hard to say, but I'd say far fetched. I don't think every character needs to be an immortal remnant of some original character (without some other evidence pointing to it). It's like how everyone was a famous person in their past life. LOL

There are theories that the taint was in fact a weapon used in the war between the creators and the forgotten ones.Perhaps this is why Fen'harel had to lock them away.Cole said something about doing so to protect them.There's also this theory about the old gods being in fact the forgotten ones,hence why Fen'harel/Solas was so upset about the plan of the Wardens to eliminate them all,or perhaps why Flemythal wanted to preserve Uthemiel's soul.

I agree with the theory that the Forgotten Ones could be synonymous with the Old Gods. As to the Taint, I'm not sure if it was necessarily a weapon or perhaps a by product of something else entirely. Also, why wasn't Mythal locked away as the stories proclaim? And if the betrayal she referred to was the Fen'Harel thing (which Abelas disproves) why would she embrace him and call him, "old friend?"

Way far fetched. And as far as we know, she purged the Taint from her body once, but there has been no indication whatsoever that she immune to it now.

 

The First Warden is a defunct figurehead leader in the Anderfels who would rather play politics than help out the rest of the world. The Commanders of each respective country pretty much run things as they like.

 

And while a Tevinter mage helped concoct the Joining Potion, we have no indication whatsoever that the first ever Grey Warden was even a mage, much less a magister.

If Arlathan existed presumably before the veil (since Solas seems to hint that there was indeed a time when the veil didn't exist),then what if the dread wolf somehow trapped the whole city in the fade in order to prevent the taint from spreading...I don't know if that's even possible,but I had weirder theories before! xD

There was clearly something going on between Mythal and Fen'Harel, but I think we're still missing pieces. Unless... the reason Solas breaks off with the Dalish Inquisitor is he's afraid of setting up the entire love-triangle thing again (and he played the role of Shartan and Osen previously?) Not sure who the third party would be, though. But the Inquisitor still has the anchor after the breach was sealed, so presumably still has a lot of power, which could attract attention.

Fair enough. I still play NWN, BG and IWD and they are really showing their age. Graphics isn't something i get hung up about. Story and gameplay are far more important than the bells and whistles

I didn't get the impression that Fen'Harel was her betrayer. It really seemed like her vengeance was more personal. Plus, didn't Abelas says that it wasn't Fen'Harel who apparently had murdered Mythal? Hmmm.

Perhaps Mythal was murdered before the war among the elves started,maybe it was the event that fueled it in the first place.And as Abelas said the dread wolf had nothing to do with her murder,there are also hints that he might have lead a rebellion against someone...Who knows,maybe Mythal's murderer/betrayer.I hope we get more info on this,hopefully before DA4.

Man, I don't know. I keep trying to wrap my head around what DG once said about the Old Gods and what the elves do and don't know about their own history. It's  a a lot! Like, how it was the Old Gods who convinced Tevinter to destroy Arlathan... but if the Old Gods are the Forgotten Ones, i.e. enemies of Fen'Harel, it could make more sense? Man. oh man.

Perhaps. Mythal's murder/betrayal might have kicked off the war, especially if no one knew who had committed the crime. And I don't know if FH led a rebellion against the elven pantheon or something bigger.

Morrigan all along thought that Cory was using an eluvian to get into the Fade, but instead, he wanted I guess the power of the well? So then, does the ending mean that Solas and Flemeth are planning on using that route into heaven? Somehow unlocking the eluvian Flemeth was messing with?

Another Zima-Cullen chapter (I'm obviously trying to make a Dalish inquisitor make more sense, inconsistencies bug me ). There'll be a short chapter between this and the chess game, then I've got some stuff in mind to continue past the children's story. I'm trying to sandwich conversation/friendship chapters with humor, so the next one should be something funny (however, family arrives for XMas tomorrow, so I'm not sure when I get back to it).

Indeed. Occam's razor points against it. Then again... Word of God said that Dragon Age would never feature real gods walking the earth and answering questions about their existence.

I don't think Flemeth is Andraste, I'm confident they were two entirely separate people. I'm more wondering if Mythal may have been involved with both of them. The similarities may all easily just be a coincidence in the end.
