I think the reason you got that impression is because he totally eats people in that short story. Lol nice try writers! No cannibal take backs for you!

 

I always get a little sad when a writer says he didn't eat people. It kinda adds to the scene, I think, that he and Justice go so completely out of their mind(s). Which just makes me a weirdo, I know, but still! Cannibanders ftw!

 

I wonder if the writers will release little fics about their character this time around, and if Cullen will get one? He might not be a companion (possibly), but if he's as important as the trailer implies then he totally deserves one! Or if that's what the Follower Fridays are for?

I'm not sure..do you mean the uber version they were talking about? They haven't officially announced it yet but someone suggested that they get bought up fast :/

I pre ordered and got the collectors addition for ME:3 (the fact it was called collectors thrilled me and when I pointed it out the GameStop guy just looked at me funny lol!) so I don't know if that was the uber addition but if it was it was easy enough to get.

On Cullen's faces in the DA:I maybe his cheeks look full because of the shadowing?

I'll just jump in and say this:

 

There seems to be quite the laser-like focus on party members. Understandable, perhaps, considering those are the characters with whom you spend a great deal of time...but if we're to talk in terms of representation I'm a bit uncertain why 5:4 would be awesome and 6:3 somehow equates to horribleness on our part. Naturally your mileage will vary, in terms of what you want to see, and I won't tell you what that should be.

 

We. however, approach the equation a little differently. We come up with roughly even numbers in our concepts, even across gender lines, across racial lines as well as across classes. We (as in the team, not just the writers) pick the concepts that we like the most, and while there's always a point where we discuss diversity, there are many points of diversity we have to consider. Class diversity is perhaps highest on the list (in terms of gameplay utility), along with a diversity of viewpoints and how they intersect with the story. Gender diversity is also considered, but when we look at it in terms of representation, we look at it in terms of representation across the entire story—not just in the party.

 

Considering Inquisition takes place in a world where many (if not most) of the world's power players are female (the ruler of Orlais, the head of the Chantry and the Circle of Magi, possibly the ruler of Ferelden and others...not to mention the many characters outside of the party with whom you will also be deeply involved. I can honestly say I don't think we're doing badly on that front, not enough to feel we should switch the gender of a character concept we like to hit an arbitary number in this one group of characters. It sounds like it might be easy to do, but that's never been how character concepts come to be--we're not just flipping switches on a variety of grids until we hit some perfect balance for every desire and then writing interesting stories.

 

If you disagree, and feel we've done poorly even short of seeing the rest of the cast, then so be it. I completely understand.

 

Insofar as the OP's desire for a Qunari female character—I hear you, believe me. Sometimes it seems like we can never fit enough awesome concepts in one game.

I've been lurking around this thread for the last week or so... and I've finally decided, that it's high time I let all of you know a VERY important thing:

 

You are amazing.

 

In all my years of being a lurker "extraordinaire" here on BSN, I've never had the pleasure of encountering a group of people so positive, kind and accepting.

Makes me all fuzzy inside to know that such a place exists.

Ok, good to know. I want to get the biggest 'bang' for my buck. And I don't like buying pre owned, and every DA game I have has been preordered, but I usually go to the store to do it.

(Hugs) I'm so sorry your having a hard day with it. Do you ever try meditation? I actually have some amazing CD recommendations that have seriously helped myself, my family and a number of patients. They mostly focus on pain, but I also have a number of options for panic attacks and anxiety! Can I PM you the list?

On topic! So yeah Cullen...how about that guy? I'm running out of topics lol! I wonder if he will have any jealous dialog like the other bioware games have if you accidentally romance to people at once. Or do it on purpose. Shame!

I know how you feel man! G.A.D. can be terrible. I don't think it's possible to realize how bad it can get if you haven't experienced it yourself.

Hope it clears up a little for you! I've been dealing with it especially for the past month myself.
