I have to ask, are all the mage dialogues with Cullen as negative as they are in Haven?
Uhhhh, negative? Cullen got along extremely well with my Gale Trevelyan the entire game, Haven included.
Or do you mean when Cullen speaks about mages in general? Because I found him quite neutral and open minded and as Elu said, he gets along perfectly well with a mage Inquisitor.

Sorry I should clarify I'm talking about the mage dialogue an the dialogue wheel (I'm trying to make my Trevelyan female mage as standoffish as possible with Templars). I ended up starting a new game due to the Sera prank bug, and it just seems that that dialogue goes more for rebellious Mage personality.

Yea, the Templar side is WAY better imo. The mages just were so underwhelming for some reason. And the whole ime magic thing. Meh. Which we could have had the Sampson questline either way :/

Yeah, I don't really understand that. There are still red templars even if you recruit the templars so it would still make sense to have the Samson quest, no?

I'm not even sure if he actually dies in the pro-templar side for him to not be there. I thought maybe we'd get a bunch war table missions to track him down at least, or still get to judge him, even if we wouldn't get Cullen's nemesis quest.

Yeah, it just makes sense to me for there to be something even if, as you said, we don't get the actual nemesis quest. You are recruiting the templars in the play-through you are doing now, yeah?

I don't recall Sampson being at the Templar fort at all. Later I was finding letters stuff from Sampson giving orders to Red Templars so I kept expecting maybe it would be a lead in for those quests

Bioware nailed the best angle with the vanilla game, IMO. This one is exceptionally hard because there are no dialog options to "pause" with...you really have to rush to get the camera in position and the scene blurs out very quickly.
Have you guys figured out that I like taking screenshots? Yes, I'm pathetic...
