I feel like I should say, when I mentioned that I felt bringing up the mage/templar thing to Cullen felt unnecessary, I meant that it is something that I did not feel like I had to choose as a mage in a romance with him. It's entirely left up to the choice of the PC whether or not to bring that issue into play and I really like that there's a choice there.

Cole isn't completely emotionally mature either, but he's helping you save the world nonetheless and he has friends like Varric to guide him. And that's why your Inquisitor has advisors to guide her if needed. You can be serious about work but still maintain a playful attitude in your personal life anyways. Right, Commander Lake-Calenhad-is-shaped-like-a-bunny?  :P

So mad at him for that because now that's all I can see.

Like the bloody Fed Ex trucks.

Lol, I think people like Alexander the Great, Joan of Arc and Agustus Caeser (among others) would be better examples of youthful leaders rather than Harry Potter.  :P

Yes, you are right, haha. I just figured I'd bring up a young leader who would be more immediately recognized in fantasy culture today because it would be easier and quicker to relate to. But those are fine examples as well :P

Just wanted to chime in about the Cullen-Elf pairings.

I have read almost every fan-fic i could find about Cullen (especially in those dark months waiting for the game to come out). Even the creepy chantry-box one about him (gah...that image is absolutely tatooed to my brain...if I were catholic, i could never set foot in a confessional box again).

I have also noticed alot of elf-Cullen pariings and while many did indeed have the little innocent bright elf and the stoic commander, there are a few really nice exceptions where the elf is a bit more mature.  Likely written by folks on this thread, I imagine. ;)  There was one I remember where her hair was really thick and they rode a horse together and ended up in a cabin together...pure smut and fabulous!

Personally, the only reason I tend not to like them as much is that I prefer playing a human in the game (I try all the others, but my canon is always human), and thus I don't really connect to the elven characters.  So, my favorite fan fics are those with a human lady who reads a bit older...because I am in my 30's. I am assuming (and this is BIG assumption), that many of the fan-fic writers just like to play elves and love Cullen like we do so, baam, you get alot of them.

I think Cullen is so sweet and likeable that we will just have to share him.  Plenty to go around, no?

Also...Cullen is a pretty complex character, so people can easily pick different aspects to focus on in a fan-fic, which is why I think some of them may seem odd to other people.  For me, i like to write him as a little judgmental and reserved and still a little angry inside (god, i love some angst).  Other folks like to focus on his softer side more, so you get alot of really cutesy elf-Cullen pairings.  It just depends on which of his many attributes speaks to the writer, so I imagine that has alot to do with it as well...

I didn't actually realize we were sharing this entire time. I thought you were all just day dreaming at my Inquisitors man candy and photo shopping your Inquisitors into the SS.....  :P

But seriously, I agree.  ^_^

I personally really liked the specialized mage dialogue options because it looked like my Quizzy just wanted to make sure Cullen was comfortable and because she wanted to understand more about him. Cullen's also very gentle and waits for you to consent before advancing the romance in a similar way. It seemed natural for them to be able to speak openly about who they are and where they're coming from, and I liked exploring how two people came together from vastly different backgrounds and discovered they both share the same goals and dreams. Mages are people with hearts, after all. CullenxMage is definitely one of the most popular pairings but it's my personal preferred world state and I don't feel guilty for enjoying it as much as I do or that I'm jumping on any preconceived notion of a bandwagon. ;)

Well said.  In fact, I started a human mage to pursue his romance, because she was a former Circle mage and they'd probably have a lot of common.  They even have a conversation about the Circle in Haven, and she tells him that she isn't used to being away from the Circle since she spent most of her life there and he felt the same way.  I haven't gotten far in the romance, but so far the mage specific dialogue seems rather natural to talk about and non-angsty.

Holy crap! People data mining DAI discovered that we were supposed to get a female Qunari companion!

http://forum.bioware...nari-companion/

Man, I'd kill for her to added as a DLC companion, she sounds awesome!

Does it say that she was supposed to be a companion? Otherwise I think she might be that female qunari that Gwendoline Christie voiced :)

No there aren´t any in the game, but the devs did hint at Gwendoline Christie voicing one prior to release,a character that must have been cut I assume.

Doesn't say anything about her being a companion.

Sorry for killing the thread, that picture just made my brain short circuit. :D

So, ahem. Female qunari. To be honest, I'm not that intrigued. I mean, I wouldn't have a problem with her being included as a DLC, and while it would be nice to see a qunari female I'm not very interested in the whole agressive and too opinionated Tal-Vasoth angle. I also feel like I already have more companions than I have time to bring along. At this point I would prefer story DLCs over companion DLCs.

The banter between her and Bull, though...........  :D

But yeah, devs have already said no companion DLC's.

Preferably story dlc that nets you some power so you don´t have to spend a bunch of hours doing those fetch quests :P Haha but I was thinking, didn´t they say that they did consider bringing the warden back instead of having the choice be between Hawke and Stroud/Alistair/Loghain, what if (and I am not expecting this to happen but still) they brought them back for a dlc that deals with whatever happened at Weisshaupt?

I'm actually looking more forward to potential companion/LI and appearance DLC's than story. DAI is already long game, I don't think there is need to make it longer.

I'm really enjoying the DAI right now! I just cleared a lot of the Hinterlands, and decided to take break from doing missions there. So I continued the main storyline and I just recruited Sera. But seeing Cullen for the first time in all his badass glory bought almost bought a little tear to my eye to see how much he's grown up! XD

P.S

Does anyone finding bears more harder to deal with than people/demons?

Yep, those dastardly devils are really annoying. I hate when you try to avoid them but they keep following you, it's like they are asking for permission to kick my ass.
