Hey you guys, I have an off-topic question.  i posted this in another forum and got no response, so maybe I am really crazy.  Do any of you notice the horrible sustained note that plays in the background in the exalted plains?  It sounds like how things sound when you are lying underwater.  Just a weird, low hum. 

 

It makes my skin crawl and it is really hard for me to do anything in that level because of that sound.  Have any of you noticed it?  Or am I really crazy?

My suggestion. Stop playing for a while. I'm serious. Take a break and do something else not involving games for a while.

Also, when in that area, drop the music volume to 0. That ought to cut it off. Also, cut off the SFX volume if dropping the music volume doesn't help.

Sooo... I'm feeling like a broken record here, so I'll be blunt and say that I think it's uncool to make fun of someone's fic in this way. The kink meme is about kinks for a reason. Sure, I don't dig on lactation kink, but don't like it, don't read it.

Definitely! the dragons don't chase you halfway across the map, and magnetically attract other dragons whereas bears? Hafters Woods is like a Bring Your Own Bear party that my Inquisitor forgot to read the invite... Last playthrough I got mobbed by all 3 great bears, and two ordinary bears in one go. We found -a- great bear. Got it to half health, and presto, it called up the entire bear family.

I had something similar to this happen. Tried to run away, but there is no running away from bears. So it quickly became a character jump from. Blackwall, go! Dies. Dorian, go! Dies. Varric, go! Dies...Quizzy, just keep running maybe it'll get tired.

 

Although that's how it goes for dragons with me too. Maybe I'm just a bad.

Kink-shaming aside...

 

I am currently mad at this game for making me hunt down those majestic hallas for pelts. You'd think at least the Dalish vendor in the Exalted Plains would have them in stock from, I don't know, any of their hallas that die to sickness or predators, but no. No vendors in the game have them. If you want a white tier 3 armor, you need to go on a murder rampage against poor innocent frollicking hallas. The injustice of it all!

 

I'm pretty sure dragon scales are white...I always go on a dragon hunt when I want to make white armor with a gorgeous python pattern. This is the best screenie I have of the material I speak of...if you want a better shot I can log in to that toon and get one:

Yeah, the white noise there is very unsettling. It made me super uncomfortable to be there, before I realized that's what was making me so anxious to be in that area. Now, whenever I have to go the Plains, I turn the radio on to drown out that noise. I kinda get that they wanted to make you feel uncomfortable to be in a place completely ravaged by centuries of war and death, etc, but... it's really unsettling.

Dragonscale is white as well if you are after white armor, although that's medium I guess rather than light.

Oh, I know! I'm saving my dragon scales for the Prowler armor I'm gonna craft later on for the end leg of the game. For now I'm hunting down halla pelts for a T3 Hunter set. Playing on Nightmare, T1 nug pelts don't cut it anymore at this level, even if they make for the prettiest pristine white. 

 

But thanks guys, it's good to know I'm not the only one obsessed with my Quizzie always wearing white armors!

yes, will try volume control in there from now on.  I actually NEVER mess with audio in games, so i didn't even know I could trun the background sound off and keep the other stuff.  Thank the maker!

The plains put me on edge too, I wonder if that's why. The thing that annoys me most is that the demons just don't seem to leave on my playthrough. I've sealed all the rifts and burnt all the pits and stopped the war, so why are there still shades and demons lurking just outside the original camp, and harassing my party every time they go past the placs the rifts used to be? doesnt happen in any other area.
