Okay, re-railing the topic now. ![]()

I'm pretty sure dragon scales are white...I always go on a dragon hunt when I want to make white armor with a gorgeous python pattern. This is the best screenie I have of the material I speak of...if you want a better shot I can log in to that toon and get one:
Lovely screenshot and armor, but... wait... are you wearing your armor IN SKYHOLD!? How did you manage that? It there a mod I don't know about that allows you to do this!?
Well, you know what Dragon Age Inquisition is all about? Playing Wicked Grace with Varric, getting drunk with Bull, pulling pranks with Sera, discussing the Fade with Solas, a game of chess with Cullen, reading smutty NSFW litteratures with Cassandra, making hand-made wooden toys with Blackwall. And oh, kill some demons & save the world when the Inquisitor has some free time. (at least, this is my Inquisitor's priority list)
It only took me oh I don't know, more than a year to realize this, but I just discovered that Greg Ellis voiced Awakening Anders uh doi
If anyone feels like revisiting GE as a sassy young apostate:
Ugh, forgot how adorable he was
How is this one different from the many other NSFW links that have been posted? Because it's kmeme?
Yes.
Edited to clarify:
She's just saying that mods have banned people -in this very thread- for posting NSFW stuff, so everyone, be careful. Best just not to post stuff like that.
Not surprising, but maybe we should refrain from all NSFW links instead of singling out kmeme.
Kinkmeme is a special case of something that, since I started posting, we've been told not to link to. Other NSFW seems to be OK as a link. But kinkmeme is, well, a purely NSFW horse of different color.
Independent of this, quoting from it is definitely NOT OK, and the mods can have itchy banning fingers about NSFW content, even inside spoiler tags. As we have learned the hard way.
Oh man, I might actually pee if we get to see Sten again! ... Though he may be kinda pissed that I sacrificed his men to save Bull's friends, lol!
Imagine Sten gazing at the Inquisitor with such a Son, I'm Disappoint face.

So there are NSFW standards now? Okay then.
The plains put me on edge too, I wonder if that's why. The thing that annoys me most is that the demons just don't seem to leave on my playthrough. I've sealed all the rifts and burnt all the pits and stopped the war, so why are there still shades and demons lurking just outside the original camp, and harassing my party every time they go past the placs the rifts used to be?
doesnt happen in any other area.
I think the demons remain because the veil is very thin there. There are some letters you can pick up there that describe the veil as extraordinarily thin in the Plains, because of the centuries of warring and death in that region, all the way back to the first Exalted March on the ancient elves. Solas will mention feeling that there have been too many battles in there, and Cole will remark or seeing spirits of death soldiers everywhere. So the demons still come out of the veil quite easily, even after you've sealed the extra rifts opened by the anchor.

Bearing in mind that I doubt there's a detailed NSFW guidebook for the mods on what is and isn't OK. Anyone posting NSFW is taking a risk.

Oh, the modding in this forum is a fcuking joke. Yes I said it and I stand by it. Last night, for example, I reported multiple posts in the "Homosexuality in Thedas" (or whatever it's called) thread that were blatantly, disgustingly, repulsively homophobic and sexist. As of this afternoon, those posts remain, no mod posted in the thread, and the thread continues.

I find it interesting that there was a full-frontal nude sketch of Cullen posted not that long ago that everyone seemed fine with, but a mere summary of a kmeme fic is what really gets people saying, "Oh, you can't do that."
If you guys are bored, I made a video playing around in the character creator... done some real face melters!
OMG! The best was hearing you crack up the whole time you're making them!!! Bwahahaha!
Sooo... I'm feeling like a broken record here, so I'll be blunt and say that I think it's uncool to make fun of someone's fic in this way. The kink meme is about kinks for a reason. Sure, I don't dig on lactation kink, but don't like it, don't read it.
Just because this particular fic is being bandied about on tumblr doesn't mean the fandom should dogpile on it.
This is all beside the point that the kmeme is generally NSFW, and BSN historically doesn't really like links to it here.
I wasn't making fun of it. I was complimenting the depiction of Dorian.
The writer grasped his witty personality well. Hence the mage's humorous line about the importance of being serious when not necessary.
I don't even know what's going on in tumblr. My friend showed me this link today, I read it, found it curious and immediately thought of sharing it with the forum.
However, if there are people out there being nasty to the writer, this is wrong. And I'm not taking any part in this. I'm against public humiliation.
If my post gave off the impression that I was making fun of it, that's another story.
I understand the context leads to this conclusion, but I can't do anything if my post was misinterpreted.
Sorry.
If anyone feels like reporting me and getting my post to be deleted, can't do a thing about it either. Like I said before, I don't want to cause trouble to the thread.
This is kind of a misunderstanding, but anyway...

Well, I'm not sure what you're speaking of, but links are different than posting the content in the thread. For posting a nude pic in the thread, for example, someone was banned. So there's your data point. Just because a mod doesn't see it, doesn't mean it's not breaking the rules.
Anyway, this isn't something I want to fight about, and I feel like for some reason I am. I'm far more miffed about the fic shaming than the NSFW content.
Guys, I'd better just delete the 2 posts.
Just to be safe.
I don't want to risk the thread.
Give me 1 min.
PS: Done. I erased the original posts and put a little "
" face.

Agree. It takes a lot of guts to post your writing, even anonymously, and I feel like there is far too much of this going on lately. All I know is that I wouldn't want to come in here and see this being done to one of my fics so there is no way I would ever do it to someone else's.

I agree that the Dorian characterization was right on, and clearly I misunderstood that part. However, what it felt like overall was singling out this fic as deviant, instead of a recommendation. If that's what it was, then I apologize.
Anyway, there's been a lot of finger pointing at fics in the last few days for not fitting some kind of standard, and it's getting to me.

RE the kmeme stuff, a labelled link to an area containing certain content is one thing (because it's on a different site, and viewing the content is therefore optional, removing the risk of content that may be considered offensive/inappropriate/triggering being seen accidentally by users. Posting a direct pic/excerpt directly is another, because people haven't made the choice to seek out the content.
Much better said than I, Char. Thanks. Maker, we've had this discussion so many times, I can't tell what I have or haven't said recently. ![]()
That is how I read it, actually. Not shaming, but going, "hey look, this is a pretty good (and funny) depiction of Dorian here." I was as confused by R2's response as you, though I guess I do see where it's coming from.
You get my drift. ![]()
Anyway, she's right. She's concerned with our best interests, and rightly so. We can't put the thread at risk.

THIS is why I always come back here. Because you guys care enough to nip potential meaness in the bud.
On a happier note...is anyone else OBSESSED with the tavern bard song "Enchanter"? I sing this in the shower every morning and I am sure my neighbors hate me!
"The dragon's crooked spine will never straighten into line". So pretty!

YES! It's one of my favourites! I also love "Empress of fire" and "Samson's tale"!
