On a happier note...is anyone else OBSESSED with the tavern bard song "Enchanter"? I sing this in the shower every morning and I am sure my neighbors hate me!

The bard has some really good songs and I admit, I may have been singing a few of late while I do my housework. 
YES! It's one of my favourites! I also love "Empress of fire" and "Samson's tale"!
I haven't touched a piano in years, but the Enchanter song makes me want to play again! Inspirado!
Anyway, there's been a lot of finger pointing at fics in the last few days for not fitting some kind of standard, and it's getting to me.
If that's happening on tumblr then how about we leave that on tumblr then? Some of us aren't on there and have no idea what's going on, and therefore are legitimately surprised by the somewhat strident reaction to a post in this thread.
My favorite bard song is "Once we were". It's beautiful. I almost never get it, though, I get Sera's song a lot and in my last playthrough I got the Enchanter song all the time.
But I love all the songs, especially when they are sung in french, and the singer is awesome.
I remember completing the Abyss quest for the first time and sacrificed Hawke because I couldn't bring myself to lose Alistair, I popped back to the tavern and that bard was singing that "oh Grey Warden what have you done" song, that didn't help me feel any better LOL! I wish we could stop her singing sometimes.

Seriously, that quest made me change my entire canon. So good!
I need the Alistair/hero happy ending. Seriously, I would LOVE for the taint situation to get resolved in DLC...for Alistair at least, even if the warden is not involved in it. For all Grey Wardens. I feel like they are so close and I want some resolution, damnit!

Tralala I did my first solo vs The Highland Ravager! Too bad can't bring Cullen to dragon hunting. Guess that this guy will die of heart attack if he saw my inquisitor jumped head first to that blasted reptile

There's been a similar reaction yesterday to a criticism toward the excess of angsty teenager fanfics involving Cullen. Also on the thread.
Some people understood what was being criticized and added to the discussion, commenting that also happens with mage Inquisitors, while others took it personal and went on a righteous rampage, like someone had offended them on purpose.
I guess voicing your opinion, even when being polite, always generates mixed reactions. Some people understand it, some people don't. But the reaction was certainly strident, like you pointed out, my friend.

Um, no actually what I'm talking about has been happening here in the thread. Lots of discussion about fics not fitting others' preferences, which makes all the writers feel lousy. Those writers could be one of us.
This particular fic in question was also passed around on tumblr, which is why I'm sad the same thing then happened in here. So basically, that IS my point.

Well... Like R2s said earlier, let people have their own fanfic, it took courage to publish them. If they want to make angsty Cullen fanfic, why not? Some of these angsty fanfics are even good (I read some hehe). I'm not big on smutty stuffs so I simply don't read them.
Let Tumblr be Tumblr, there are too much hate there (remember that "Cullen is Bi or not" war)? I've seen too much phobia there, they need therapy.
