Got a lore question for ya'll. Can all mages talk to people in their dreams (ie, visit them in the fade as they lie dreaming) or only 'dreamers' like the young elf from DA2?
For clarification - in DAO, when either you or Morrigan or Wynne enter the fade to confront Connor, you find a dreaming Arl Eamon and can speak to him. How is that different from what a dreamer like that kid (uggg...I cannot remember his name) does? I am forgetting what the difference is.
NEVERMIND! I finally found it on the wiki!

I don't think it's a common thing, but some can with practice. That being said, our protagonist's have been able to do it easy enough in each game, LOL!
I was rereading the last few pages so my mind was still comprehending all of that and then I read your post and...I did not first see what was actually there, lol! Fair warning to all...clear one's mind of reading about naughtiness before reading harmless posts!

Also, he's not an Elf. He's an Elf blooded human. ![]()

So can anyone confirm if Dorian's personal quest is glitched on the PS4? It works fine on the PS3...yet I have not been giving his quest since I upgraded. The same with Vivienne's personal quest about that snowy wyvern's heart.

Yeah, I think everyone's first instinct was to categorize Templars as chaste due to their religious affiliations, haha. I think that promiscuous activity might be discouraged according to what Alistair says, but it's not outright banned so it just depends on the Templar. Young Carrol was clearly not averse to hitting up the ladies in your Warden's party, and some Templars did frequent Kirkwall's brothel. I don't even think training would make a Templar more "appropriate" unless they personally really wanted to take care in who they choose to have sex with, and while the Chantry probably encourages relationships like the ones Alistair initially desires it doesn't seem like it's enforced. The ladies at the brothel were afraid Cullen would shut them down but nothing came of that, either.
Where Cullen lies on this scale is up to individual interpretation. I personally feel like he'd be similar to Alistair in desiring an emotional connection with a person before getting physical, especially given how his mind immediately jumps to marriage when prompted to answer questions about sex, and some people on Tumblr think that Cullen would be suitably classified as a demisexual in that respect. So it's totally likely that, once he feels comfortable with your quizzy, he's a total sleezebag. HAH. (I have my eyes on you and your exhibitionist tendencies, Cully.) But others may choose to headcanon differently, and that's fine too.
Sorry to delete the Cullen. He was distracting me. ![]()
I know you and I agree to disagree on this, but while Templars can seem be a chaste bunch that doesn't mean they are. Aveline's husband was a Templar and the Templar the desire demon got to in Origins wanted a wife and children. I don't think it was ever made clear that it was because he wasn't allowed to get married, at least not in-game.
And I do certainly agree with you that Cullen is interested in an emotional connection first, before leaping into the physical.

Not saying that Cullen engaged in such activities but I just can't see a barracks that are filled with men and woman and none of them ever getting down to business. I think there would have been a lot of scuffling around in some dark Circle storage rooms all over Thedas.
There were some very large closets in the Ferelden Circle. ![]()

Don't forget all those storage tunnels as well. Plenty of places for a bit of rough and tumble.

I forgot about the spiders! Well, that just adds another degree of excitement to it! "Quick, get your armour off! We've got to do this before we are either caught or eaten."

Pretty sure. Like I said, I tested these two a lot. Probably the "bug" people are getting is that Cullen will answer the flirting at the chess scene with a remark about Blackwall if you rush through his scenes too fast while still stuck with Blackwall's romance lead-in (the quest at the Storm Coast). But that's not really a bug, it's the result of rushing through content as soon as you get to Skyhold.
Even then, it's as simple as walking up to Blackwall and picking the pseudo break-up line with him, you don't even have to advance to the kiss. That will clear any activated romance flags with him, and Cullen will go back to responding to flirting as usual.
I was in a relationship with Blackwall and still had all available flirt options with Cullen including the chess scene (and some others), then I broke up with BW after Revelations and was immediately able to romance Cullen. Just adding to the confirmation. I never selected "Begin a romance with Cullen" even though the option was there while I was with BW, but I know he'll say something about you being in another relationship. I believe if you select that option it might ruin your chances.

Oh yeah, I guess I wasn't clear but I totally agree about the fact that Templars are not expected to be chaste at all. I think that, during training, Templars are taught certain standards of etiquette that the Chantry would prefer they follow when it comes to physical relationships but that these standards aren't enforced. It's left up to the individual Templar to decide, and while some might publicly declare their chastity out of faith like Cullen describes, they don't have to. In terms of morale I don't think it's healthy at all to repress your soldiers' appetites if they're so inclined, anyways. It does seem like the ladies at the brothel felt they had reason to worry, though, and we know how harsh the punishment for besmirching the integrity of a Templar (or something of the sort) can be in the Circles themselves, so maybe at some point it's been threatened before? I wouldn't know though, and I don't think Cullen put a stop to anything.

I saw one that had 6 people walking around in there whilst they were getting friendly on the desk, LOL!
Yeah I had a lady stroll past us during that scene. I was all ****** he's mine lol.
D'aww I loooove the kiss you can do whenever, he is such a tease the way he breaks it off then grins. I love seeing that cheeky confidence from the guy who gets flustered when you ask if he has taken chastity vows ha.
I'm dying to finish this playthrough just to romance him again... playing a rogue but I'd like to do a mage one. Thing is I wanna side with the templars next time to be different. I'll be a weird mage lol. Guess I can imagine to be like Viv and want circles back. Shame you miss out on the Samson bits on that side though. D:

I took all possible flirts with Blackwall in Haven and was still able to romance Cullen after getting to Skyhold.
The only companion that didn't give me a "choose romance now" warning was Solas. The romance activated after the fade kiss scene, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't say "choose romance with Solas." This lead to re-load, run to Cullen and activate that one first, lol.

Creepy for some, hot for others. I wish Cullen had that "possessive hand" on his kiss scene too.
I actually think Blackwall's kissy scene is quite hawt!

I noticed a few pages back mentioning that Cullen didn't seem very naughty. I think he could potentially be a pretty naughty boy. Throwing the IQ down on a desk is pretty naughty, at least in my head it is. I think once he gets into the relationship all bets are off on his "shy-ness." You also can see a nice prelude to "naughty" during the date scene if you choose the "I don't need luck" response.

I think I just prefer the woman to be dominant or at least equal (like in Fenris's scene). Probably why I generally dislike heterosexual romances
For me it just depends on my mood. Sometimes I like to be submissive, other times I don't so it would be nice to see your PC take the lead a few times in the romance. I did like how in the Fenris romance Hawke pushed him up against the wall just as hard as Fenris had done to Hawke. I see great things for their sex life....... after their reconciliation. Oh, unless you are my Hawke who is head-cannoned as the most awkward thing ever.

What does he say?
Something along the lines that he has read your reports and knows how often you also get yourself into trouble...which is spoken in a rather low and what some said in the past few pages..."naughty tone".
