A month later... and have finally finished the game (after kicking my brother off my computer once I returned from hobbo-ing around Europe).

Cullen romance = best Christmas gift to self ever. Has also ruined my real life. Went on a date last night (with a non-pixilated man, that is), only to accidently call my date "Cullen" no less than 4 times (his name was actually Colin).

Basically, because no flesh and blood human measures up in my mind, I am now doomed to die a virgin.

Omg the amount of times I scream at my companions because they run me off those damn wooden platforms with all the ladders. Usually Cole or Blackwall. Hold position never works when I need it too lol.

Another feature inspired by Skyrim? Vilkas and Erik have nudged my Dragonborn right off the blind face of a mountain and straight into her gruesome death so many times that I make them hold still in place whenever we have to go anywhere higher than a slope.

What I got was that the little girl was a mage, which her parents viewed as a kind of sickness (not to mention disgraceful for the family), so they kept her sheltered and tried to prevent her magical abilities from manifesting. Some of the codex entries in there are pretty sad:

...why did I watch that? That's exactly the part that creeps the beejeezus out of me. Every time I replay Origins I forget about this part, and then lose a night's sleep with that "three, four, the kingdom's at war" line keeping me awake. I'm really bad at dealing with horror, lol.
