So I came across something interesting tonight and I'm wondering if it's a (happy) glitch? Here's the backstory:
Raven, my dual-dagger fireball wasn't interested in Cullen in the least. She's a bit of a party-girl, so she had been flirting up Bull, along with everybody else. HOWEVER, during Champions of the Just, what Envy showed her really got to her. She didn't know what to make of it, and besides, she thought there was no way he would be into a crazy rogue. Then, after arriving at Skyhold, Cullen pulled out the cutest puppy-dog face and assured her that he would never let the events at Haven happen again. That threw her for a loop. Not knowing what to make of it, she decided to avoid Cullen and leave Skyhold for a while, helping Bull with his personal quest (she chose the "duty" option). Back in Skyhold, she saw how upset Bull was, which lead to a crazy one-night-stand. She IS a party-girl after all, and she wanted to prove it.
At this point, the Bull romance was "locked in." Ok, so this is where it gets confusing to me:
Deciding that she was going to stop avoiding Cullen, she stopped by his office to have a chat. This is where he dropped the "not in Kirkwall" line. Ok, maybe he does like her? Crap, he's definitely getting under her skin. But what about Bull? Later, she has a nice game of chess with Cullen, of course letting him win. All of a sudden being socially awkward (that's never happened to her before), she blurts out "We should spend more time together..." What does he say? "I'd like that..."
So my question is this - I thought starting anybody else's romance would cause Cullen to bring that specific romance up as a block before you could initiate anything with him? I was fully intending to have to break up with Bull to start the Cullen romance. I thought that maybe he would say something after the chess scene flirt. Nope. Kissy scene and "start romance with Cullen" ensues. I then run to Bull and Bull's romance is gone (it was definitely there before I started the kissy scene with Cullen). I never officially broke it off with Bull. She just had the 1st sexy-time scene and that was it (she didn't have the 2nd scene where he explains the rules). So, can you really have a one-night-stand with Bull and have it mean nothing? The scene does say "start a romance." Or was it a (happy) glitch? If so, yay! That's what I was going for! I just need to reload a bit back so I can slow down Cullen's scene progression.
