Must burn this post with fire!!! Honestly if they destroy the happy ending I will be quite upset with them.
Speaking of weddings,is it true that you can actually attend one in the game? ![]()

no....? I don't think I did...
Definitely want him as a companion for DLC rather than another DA game bc I don't think I could bear to not romance him
I'd love to have him as a temporary companion in one of the DAI DLCs/Expansions, I wanna drag him around and hear the banter between him and the companions.

Yea and actually I'd be okay if he made a longer cameo in a future game like warden Alistair/Hawke/Stroud

Lol, I wish! Naw, people were data mining and they found a cut/unused main quest surrounding a wedding the Inquisition/Inquisitor attends (not his/her own). Dunno if it'll be put back in though.
Especially if you included travel time to get to all of the different areas in Orlais/Ferelden!
Yeah, there's no way they included rational travel time with all the back and forth it can take 3-4 weeks to cross Ferelden alone, without snow.

I wouldn't! Bollocks to potentially losing him like we did in DAI with Alistair/Hawke/Loghain/Stroud. Truth be told, he's probably safer not making any future cameos at all.

Oh god I didn't mean a cameo where he could die! I was talking purely about the length of the cameo.

I know, but I wouldn't wanna risk him making a cameo in any future DA games simply because I don't trust BioWare not to do something horrible to him, or make me pick between saving him and another beloved character.

Naw,and here I got excited for a minute,lol
Anyway thanks! ![]()

I feel the same way. I'd love to see more of Cullen, but I'm apprehensive. Uncomplicated happy endings aren't really Bioware's thing, you know?
I'd like to think that the writers were of a similar opinion to me: here's a guy who's been through so many horrible things, yet still manages to be one of the kindest and most decent characters in the series, and if there's anyone in Thedas who deserves a good, happy outcome, it surely must be him. But sometimes I feel like they just forgot to have him go insane and/or die, or couldn't fit it into the release for some reason.

Yea. Thank god Stroud was an option if you put Alistair on the throne. Who knows if they'd be that merciful in the future. I could see them making a cameo kind of like drunk Alistair in DA2 with the choice you made regarding his lyrium addiction. Otherwise I think they'll have us encounter him as part of the inquisition. I still think they'll bring him back in some form or another though.
Given how DAI ends it wouldn't come as a surprise if we get to play as our quizzies again in the next game. I know the writers have always said that they never wanted the dragon age series to become like Mass effect in regards to you playing the same character again with every new installment but unless something happens to our quizzies in DLC/expansions, which I doubt will happen given that DLC is supposed to be 100% optional, unless Bioware were to make a DLC that gave a definitive ending to the inquisitors story and made it free for everyone it wouldn't make much sense to not continue using them as the player character.
I reaaallllly don't want to play as the inquisitor again. I actually want a start that's more humble like Origins or even DAII where you really have to work your way to the top and earn devotion rather than automatically gain it for being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

I honestly don´t think we will, we´ll probably finish the inquisitors story with dlc and I do have a feeling that they might even die,I mean they´ve sort of showed that the DLCs are "canon" at least with Legacy,so I could see them finishing the inquisitors story in a DLC. Also we´re going north in the next game (It´s been heavily implied at least) ![]()

I just don't see how Bioware could do this with the Inquisition looming overhead. They already made us play the most powerful person in Thedas...unless they go to a completely different continent where the Inquisition has no influence (which I don't think would happen because people would be screeching for inclusions of our past characters), I don't see how they couldn't put us back with the Inquisitor (unless the IQ dies). This would be fine (not the dying part!), in my opinion. I loved loved loved how Mass Effect let us continue our romances, and only made them grow more over the games. I get that the devs said they didn't want to go the "Mass Effect" route, but things change all the time. I just see DA:O and DA:2 as pre-quels (for the most part) and DA:I like the start of a great series. Only time will tell!
I don't think they'd be able to tell a whole story based in Seheron or Tevinter due to "sticky" issues. We'd be dealing too much with the Qun and slavery...which could be quite "sticky," since to people native to those areas, that is the norm.

I was under the impression that the Inquisition didn't really *have* a presence in Northern Thedas, which is why we're travelling there for the next game. They already have their hands full with the South as it is.

I might be bad with the map, but wouldn't that be Tevinter? Yeah, don't see that happening, due to reasons I mentioned above. Slavery is an inherent part of Tevinter culture, and that would be an ever-loving nightmare to include in the game because of...reasons...
I'd personally love to see the Inquisition and how it will handle the new powerbase in Thedas.
*edit* I forgot that we'd also have Antiva, Anderfels, etc. We really haven't seen/heard much about those places so who knows. I just think that would be a huge jump where we'd lose a lot of our current story.

I always thought of Tevinter as the last place the games would go buuuuut I think it would really be neat to go there next now that the fans are starting to get a grounding of what Thedas is all about because Tevinter is pretty upside down and backwards from the rest of the world. I think it would throw us all for a loop. Also Bioware is starting to show that elves really do still have more power than the world realizes. It's just a matter of them regrouping and getting back on their feet. I could see them becoming a new power as the games progress so I think it would be neat to play a game that saw the world from an elven light. Like you're working for some ancient elven order or something.

Yeah I mean maybe we´re not going to Tevinter, maybe they´ll do the Anderfels first but we´re moving north, which I am really excited about
Although I do agree on them saving Tevinter for a later game, I´d love to see Antiva though, since it´s based on Venice ![]()
I wonder if the elves managing to be in power -through Briala's influence in Orlais, for instance- can somehow facilitate the Qunari invasion in Southern Thedas...
Elves seem to sympathize a lot with the Qun. Hence Tallis and Fenris speaking with admiration about the subject.
Since the 4th game might be set in Northern Thedas -in Tevinter-, how does that affect relations with the Imperium?
