Come ooooon. Blackwall is not that bad...he and Dorian actually get along in the end if you keep them long enough. But then again, almost everybody likes Dorian in the end because he's just that awesome. Lol

On the other hand, Cassandra and Bull banter is hilarious, so go for it!

I know!  I only got a little bit because I always needed to take Blackwall somewhere.  I decided to not worry about this time around so much cause i want to see where the Cass/Bull dialogue goes.  Really, Iron Bull dialouge with anyone is great!  And Solas/Dorian talking about magical theory is way more fun than I thought it would be, but may be harder since I am playing a mage and like a balanced party...

I'm sure this was already discussed, but I don't have time to go through 4300 pages of posts... when in the quest line are you able to talk to Cullen by the tents in Haven for the first flirt opportunity? Each time I play, the next chance I get to talk with him after meeting him in the war room is in front of the chantry talking to Chancellor Roderick! When I look down by the tents before going to the war room, he isn't there. What am I doing wrong? Please help!

Go to Val Royeaux and after, he is back at tents.

For clarification, go to Val Royaux to address the clerics.  You need very little power and it is a short thing, so go ahead and do it you have the power to open it up.  Then you can go back to hinterlands, etc, and still explore.  I had the same panic attack when I first played!!!

You are going to the Hinterlands first I believe. If you leave the war room instead of going to the Hinterlands after unlocking them then you can go down to Cullen. He is training the soldiers as you know and that is the first flirt option you get...right after unlocking the Hinterlands, but NOT going to them,

I've yet to fiddle with the Dwarves in the CC....the same with the Qunari, but seeing a character like this is making me want to!

On another subject...playing with a sword and shield is extremely gratifying in this game. I love playing as a mage, archer, and Orion made me love Sword and Shield as well!

I've loved mage and warrior so far (rogue is usually my favorite, but I tend to find them frustrating as a first PT.) I've actually got two different S&S warriors right now, but Zhenya's actually on hold until I get my Dalish mage and warrior both as far as Skyhold. Zhenya's always been my favorite planned PT, but since I'm lukewarm on her romance options, I'm waiting until I've enjoyed Cullen's and Solas's so I can enjoy her without wanting to sulk :P. Some people have posted some incredible female dwarves on the dwarf thread, from cute-as-a-button teenagers to one who looked 50ish and tough as nail, but still very attractive. I'm looking forward to trying to create a qunari next.

But just to be clear, you can also get him by the tents after you do the Val Royaeux thing.  Ie, I donlt want you to think you have to restart the game (like I did!!)  if you go the Hinterlands first.  He will be at the tents again after Val Royeaux and all the dialouge options are still there.

There are freaking 5 and half hours of banter and they don't trigger that often! Grrrrr.

At this rate I'll never be able to get all of them. West approach is so quiet, nobody ever talk while I'm in there. I got so bored doing side quest at some point I have to go back to Skyhold and touch...I mean talk to Cullen.

I feel like the banter is just hit and miss.  Sometimes if fires every 10-15 minutes which is awesome!!!  Other times, it is just...desolate.  Always seems to happen in the Emereld Graves and the Hissing Wastes, two HUGE areas where you NEED dialogue!!!!

I found the quanri make up to be...a pain!  the eyeshadow looks like grease and it is weirdly placed on the eye.  So, I can't seem to do nice shading with it because it looks weird and makes them all look bug-eyed.  I finally got an OK looking one, but...just can;t wrap my horns around it yet!

Hi Guys,

I haven't been around much because of holiday cheer and celebrations but I wanted to log on to wish all my Culleny friends a very happy holidays.  :)

I'm off to drink obscene quantities of raspberry vodka in a few minutes but I hope you are all having a wonderful time and enjoying the season.

Love and seasons greetings to all.  :)

I was so confused when the lyrium thing came up. Everything we've ever been told thus far had always left me with the impression that lyrium was impossible to get off of - not unless you liked dying. Slowly. Painfully. I remember even talking to the tv like "How are you not dead???"

After he said it'd been months since his last draught, I... Figured it was a slight retcon in how severe lyrium withdrawals were said to be, so I encouraged him to kick it.

And not to be sappy, but I suppose I'll be a bit: His addiction plotline hit incredibly close to home for me as well. I come from a family with a very... colorful history of addiction problems. Drugs (any and all), alcohol, tobacco, prescription meds, a myriad of all the above, take your pick.

So to watch a person, if only a fictional one, make the decision on their own to beat their addiction was a pretty ****** exhilarating thing for me to watch... Even if we really only got a very small taste of everything he was more than likely going through.

Now I'm just going to *hides face*

Cullen's, Solas', Cassandra's, and Dorian's romances are probably my favorite out of all of them in the game. So having romances locked out due to race or gender...sucks!

Mmhm! This is correct too!

Really? In the Hissing Wastes I got so much banter! I had Iron Bull, Solas, and Cole in my party and I must say I switched Bull out rather quickly*event though he is cool*. He was corrupting Cole...or more like Cole was making comments on his escapades with randoms...it was very funny but mildly disturbing. Then Solas asked Cole if he ever felt a desire to be..close to a woman since he left the Fade. So yeah I brought Cass in to stabilize things, lol!

Thank you!

Glad to help!

Oh word of the wise..do not go into the Hissing Wastes at level 15...on Nightmare and stumble upon a level 20 dragon that is sleeping on the edge of a sandstorm...it is not an advised action.

I feel like the chances of activating a banter are completely random. I saved before I fight the dragon mentioned in the Hissing Waste yesterday. I reloaded the save 6-7 times as the dragon kept knocking my Varric into oblivion (a hilarious yet annoying bug) and all of a sudden Dorian and Bull started their banter upon one quick load.

While I did not want my new IQ to end up with semi-blue hair...I say he turned out decently well! So here's Orion Trevelyan-

Ooooh I have a kitty cat named Orion! He has blue eyes too!  :P

Everytime with Bull and Cole in my party, I kept having the urge to control my quizzie rush over to cover Cole's ears

Although Bull was such a mother hen to Cole in the end. It's adorable.

LOL good to know! I would have been choked if I wandered into that with my party this early in the game!

That dragon owned me so many times...well until I became a KE and found two daggers that had 400 damage rating for Cole...long story short after ten defeats I took her down in six minutes. Although it was still extremely challenging thanks to nightmare mode.

Same here! Yet it seem Cole KNOWS all about what goes on with Bull in the middle of the night...or day...or morning...or really any time.

It takes quite a bit of exploring since it is way out in the Hissing Wastes. I only recently found it in my current PT and that was my first time...so I would say the area is rather secluded, but it is deadly.

Someone need to sit Cole down and talk about boundaries with that kid...I love him, but he almost made poor Dorian cry...

Not to mention the comment about quizzie and bull did it on the war table...

What annoys me the most is that she keep stunning me and spawning baby dragons lol! I can't deal with that many dragons.. My Cole never survives a single dragon fight. He is always the first to die. Poor Cole :crying: . Maybe I should get some guard on hit upgrades for him :P

My Cole used to be really squishy...he still is but with my mage now being a KE I can take control of him and not worry about everyone else as much.

AND I KNOW! When I finally got to that part I was like "ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?" I had no potions left...so it was a bad situation.

Are there supposed to be random dead people in Val Rouyeaux or did they all faint when I wasn't looking?
