But thats why i love the llama, no irritating commentary to endure! Just the cutscenes, in good audio and video quality. Also she does a lot of hunting to get all the dialogue, which i adore (as i often can't be bothered myself) Hope it gets sorted out soon!
Did her vids get pulled?...that's seriously unfortunate if so. Those are my go to vids for DAI.
I think that was also part of the Alistair retcon about lyrium. How he could use the powers without taking lyrium.
Though I think it would add an interesting spin in the future to find out the Chantry was lying about lyrium period. Lying about Templars not being able to stop using it and that it is even needed once the abilities are learned by a Templar, it would show the Chantry was using it as a way of controlling Templars, a military force they want to do their biding.
Thing is, DG and the comics have now directly addressed this, that the lyrium was needed for their templar abilities. Without, they lose them, which is why Alistair started taking it again. Of course... the fact that Seeker "templar" abilities don't need it is the bigger handwave, IMO.
I actually kinda liked Sera's room, lol. I was like "OMG I would totally love to sit and read in there."
But yes, not sure that benchy-thing would be comfortable to sleep on.
Oh, I love the concept of Sera's room. I lived in a cubicle almost exactly like that when I was 19 and single. There's a time in your life when living all cramped up like that is an ~adventure.
But it definitely doesn't fit two in the long term, and my Lavellan being used to nature and wide open spaces would go crazy in such a tiny hole. Nops, Sera brings all her crap upstairs and they sleep in the big comfy bed, wide enough for all kinds of her acrobatic rogue bedroom gymnastics.
(....and my rogue Trev's. Betcha that before meeting her, Cullen never even knew that women could bend like that. )
I'm not sure when the repair happens but when the scaffolding comes down by Vivienne's room, if you walk through the door, there's three bedrooms to the right. One is in disrepair but the other two are finished. I figure there's some rock/paper/scissor-ing happening to get those rooms.
LOL Yeah, it's confounding that Cullen's sleeping with a hole in his roof when Skyhold has already perfectly serviceable guest rooms without leaks.

So did Alistair just flat-out lie when he said he had never taken it? Or was that just an oops in DA:O?
And after seeing what Cullen has gone through with lyrium I give sad-puppy face thinking about Alistair taking it (again). Didn't Cullen say that it causes users to start losing their memories?
I really need to read the comics. I've read the companion novels, just not the comics...

Yea, I love her videos for the same reason, I always want to know all the variations of the cutscenes, I am glad she posts them. I would love to keep reloading and seeing them all for myself in my game, but I am playing through it with my husband and I feel kind of weird saying " hold on a moment while I play through this Cullen kissing scene like 4 times" LOL

Do you know at which point the scaffoldings come down? I did all the Skyhold upgrades, so I think I just need to advance the main story far enough to see the results.
As requested, the prayer scene with an unromanced Cullen who still takes lyrium. Even the prayer sounds more bitter to me...
SPOILERS!!!
OMG, that's absolutly heartbreaking >< It was already highly unlikely I would ever tell him to keep taking it, but I definitly won't now. That's just... ouch
Aw, not sappy! Thanks for sharing. Others with more firsthand knowledge than I have also said that the addiction storyline rang true, so that's nice to hear and a nice tribute to Brianne, I think.
On lyrium, I was thinking the same thing. All indicators up until now have suggested it was very hard to quit, with death a real possibility. Particularly given Evangeline's comments on suffering withdrawal after a week and madness after a month. Of course... I will also cut this storyline some slack since it does what I usually do, and kinda sweeps that fact under the rug... and inserts an offcamera "he soldiered through and broke his addiction" idea.
One thing I also thought was interesting was that they seem to identify different degrees of addiction here as well. Every templar is addicted to lyrium, by definition, but apparently Samson's addiction was worse somehow. According to the start of Cullen's nemesis quest...
Spoiler
"He had a chronic lyrium addiction. He spent every last coin buying it from local smugglers."
So, it's almost like there's addiction, and then there's addiction. Implying perhaps that Cullen's was the easier addiction to kick. I dunno. The distinction I just find curious.
With bioware going more and more realistic with the companions (they honestly felt more like real people to me than they ever have) I think they are also making the whole lyrium addiction thing more realistic as well. And addictions/quitting is different for everyone. Not just the mental fortitude to get through it, but also how bad the side effects are. Also... there's a world of difference between an addict who desperatly wants to stop, and someone who doesn't really. My impression is Samson never really wanted to be free of lyrium, and that's part of why he falls so far.
Also... I'm confused why the Templar order would just kick someone to the curb like that. I mean, they all know lyrium is addictive and a problem so even if the person did something worthy of being kicked out (which I don't think Samson did) I would have expected them to have a different way of handling it.
Cassandra's comment during his Perserverence quest got me thinking: why is it that templars "silently endure" and mages are the ones who get all vocal about lyrium? I didn't even thing mages got addicted to lyrium since it basically leaves their bodies when they use magic?
And agree with whoever posted that to seems weird cullen can even kick it. I just remember it being super emphasized that there's no way off it. I bit the bullet and asked he stay on it because he's hurting. My 3rt pt I'll be romancing him and blackwall so I can play nice later I guess :/
Templars are essentially knight's, and to silently endure in the name of duty if a very knightly ideal. Also, for the ones who volenteer to become Templars it's a sort "I knew what I was signing up for complaining now is pointless" thing.
I was thinking that too when I saw it. My solution: have him move in with the Inquisitor
Yea, I assumed this is what happened as well

She was blocked and her videos removed yesterday, and then she was reinstated and some were added back, but then she got blocked again. I haven't checked to see if anything new has happened today.

Doesn't Cassandra say at one point the Seekers gain their abilities as a result of them being made tranquil and then having that reversed? I feel pretty certain that was the explaination given because reversing Tranquility doesn't make the person exactly how they were before, it does change them.
Do the comics explain why Alistair had to start taking lyrium again? I understand that he would need it to access his templar abilities, but even without them, he's still a trained warrior. Cullen even says that without their anti-magic abilities, they are still some of the best-trained warriors in Thedas. It's not like Cullen is a useless gimped has-been without lyrium.

Yikes! Sounds like either EA/BW is making claims against those vids, or someone is very disgruntled by something she posted, or attack of the trolls. Hm, that's sad guess I'll have tomake more saves for referencing.
I was watching the romance scene again, and... am I perv for wishing that my Inquisitor was naked too next to Cullen during their pillow talk? The way she got dressed and was tying up her shoes made it seem like she was going to leave Cullen to wake up alone

Oh she was blocked again : ( I read about it yesterday on another thread where she stated she had got her account back. Hopefully youtube at least tells what's wrong. It's very odd that youtube just suddenly blocks her account though, usually you need to get some warnings before that and asks to remove videos that are against copyright etc.

This really annoyed me too! And it wouldn't have taken much to do that scene without actually showing anything but making it clear she wasn't just about leave without even saying good morning

Her last update says it looks like her channel was completly deleted now :/ Here's the thread if anyone wants to follow/post support etc.

According to that thread she didn't have strikes nor claims. So it doesn't make sense for her account to be deleted. And even if you have strikes, claims and deleted videos youtube don't that easily remove your channel since I have had some.. probaply still have, I haven't gone to see my account in couple years. It's still not deleted though.
Well hopefully she somehow gets it sorted out. But it's really shitty from youtube to delete her channel without any warnings and even telling her reason : <
I made Lemon Curd today. I don't really know why, but it's very nice. I've been attacking it with a spoon instead of doing anything productive with it though. I wonder if they have lemon curd in Thedas. They could do a Thedas cookbook like the Discworld one
Somehow I misread this as "I've been attacked with a spoon" which first was confusing then I thought of the Robin Hood scene "why a spoon?" "because it'll hurt more"
My gawd, that pray scene unromanced on lyrium is so sad! I guess it shows how much coming off the stuff and breaking the chains meant to him, it's definitely an important turning point for him. I just wish they'd more of that part of his story arc, seeing that kinda brings home how little it was utilised. Shame.

What does he say if unromanced and not on lyrium?
Well Cass did saying failing at getting off lyrium would break him. If he's not romanced and off lyrium it's essentially the same as the romanced version minus the being afraid for the Inquistor/hug. Can't link though because I only can get to youtube through my phone
Also your sig reminded me of something funny in my game. In the Fade during Adamant one of my replies to was literally "well ****" which was funny because I was besties with Varric and my thought was "well clearly I have been spending so much time with him I am now talking like him"

I wonder what he says if romanced and still on lyrium (option of finding another way later)?
