Also you know how if you talk to Cole in the tavern he has some mind reading to share with you? Does he ever say anything about Cullen's mind involving the romance? I always try to decipher what and who he's talking about and am only successful 30% of the time.

has anyone tried the "Not right now" line...? I never wanted to be a jerk but I might save and then choose it this time.
Yes, he says "Of course..." and puts his arm around the IQ while they both look off the balcony. It's sorta sweet, but I detected a note of disappointment in his voice.

Yikes! Sounds like either EA/BW is making claims against those vids, or someone is very disgruntled by something she posted, or attack of the trolls. Hm, that's sad guess I'll have tomake more saves for referencing.
Turns out a lot of YouTube channels were skating on thin ice for uploading raw footage of the game and the soundtracks, that's why so many are being deleted. YouTube should've given them warning though.
Still worrying though, I don't have any raw footage on mine, but if it gets closed down I'll do my ****** nut.

I always ask him for a dance, while wandering around. I feel like it would be conflicting to say "nevermind" at the end of it.

Aw, that's still sweet, but it definitely lacks the charm.

Edit: Reading comprehension is hard. Anyways, I'd still shift through the vids and pull anything that could be construed as raw footage.
I would, at least until of this is settled. Dodge the ban-hammer for the time being.

I wish things were more clear. Honestly I thought raw footage with no commentary was fine as long as the videos weren't being monitized. It's sort of frustrating because it's awesome to be able to see what would happen with a different choice and it's not like it costs BioWare/EA for me not spending the hours to do every possible iteration myself :/

I still don't get it. Isn't that like free advertisement for them?

I had thought EA would understand it, but apparently not. I don't remember this happening with ME3 gameplay footage, especially a month and a half after release. Why wait till now to start hitting people who post footage?

That's essentially all I look for in YT gameplay vids. I've never been a fan of gameplay commentary. It ends up just being the droning noise in the background that can drown out the actual gameplay I came to watch.
Not that I have anything against commentary. It's just largely irrelevant to me for in video game footage.

It doesn't seem to be an EA/BW claim though...seems to have more to do with something new YT is enforcing from the sounds of it.

Cole said "Safe and solid, protecting and proud. He feels like quiet, stronger when you hold him" for me. I know he says some different things for a Cullen that is still on lyrium, but I haven't had the heart to make him take it so I haven't gotten any of those.

Whew... just finished my own first playthrough. Despite all spoilers I've ingested ever since, it's still something. ![]()
Now it's the time to finally make a Lady Lavellan & go for Solas... at least I'll try to, (looking at you Cullen

EDIT: Thanks to Bioware for this amazing 100+ hours & for creating the Wonderful World of Thedas, as well as the Inquisition. It had been a real pleasure.

So did Alistair just flat-out lie when he said he had never taken it? Or was that just an oops in DA:O?
And after seeing what Cullen has gone through with lyrium I give sad-puppy face thinking about Alistair taking it (again). Didn't Cullen say that it causes users to start losing their memories?
I really need to read the comics. I've read the companion novels, just not the comics...
On DA:O, basically an oops. You can read what DG has to say about it here.
Also... I'm confused why the Templar order would just kick someone to the curb like that. I mean, they all know lyrium is addictive and a problem so even if the person did something worthy of being kicked out (which I don't think Samson did) I would have expected them to have a different way of handling it.
This is why I find it so curious. Sure, I could see different people having different levels of reaction to addiction, but there's something... I dunno, weirdly judgmental about the way they talk about Samson's addiction that feels hypocritical. We're all addicted, but Samson's lesser for having a bad reaction. Cullen says Samson was kicked out for "erratic behavior" but seems uncool to not help Samson with his problem since the Order caused it.
Doesn't Cassandra say at one point the Seekers gain their abilities as a result of them being made tranquil and then having that reversed? I feel pretty certain that was the explaination given because reversing Tranquility doesn't make the person exactly how they were before, it does change them.
Yeeeeah, something like that. Just still seems handwavey to me since they've previously said that seekers are chosen from amongst the best of the templars.
Do the comics explain why Alistair had to start taking lyrium again? I understand that he would need it to access his templar abilities, but even without them, he's still a trained warrior. Cullen even says that without their anti-magic abilities, they are still some of the best-trained warriors in Thedas. It's not like Cullen is a useless gimped has-been without lyrium.
It's a very brief line in the comics, so no. Just that he needs the abilities to fight the comics baddies who are mages.

Been working on a playthrough with Solas and he's definitely worth the effort of staying away from Cullen. It might be worthwhile to not talk to Cullen at all until you are in a relationship with Solas though... those heart options are so tempting ![]()

I am hoping unmonetized is still ok. I want to upload a few scenes, just to have them there, for myself to be able to watch them mostly. Maybe making them as private or unlisted will make it less likely that they will get taken down.

I thought it was adorable. That whole scene is one of my favorites with Cullen's romance, actually, because of how realistically it treats their relationship. It's not just white horses and heaving bosoms, but your partner asking you how you're doing, and you getting to let your guard down for a moment and admit you're pooped. It's the kind of quiet moment I was hoping we'd see when we learned that Cullen would be our house husband instead of follower. So, altho I can't say no dancing, I think the comfort hug is just as sweet.aw. I think I'll still try it out for myself. I melted when he asked me to dance afterwards the first time bc when he said no at first I was like wow...... you just made me feel like a fool.

Yeah, in my opinion he becomes much colder. Spoilers for the romance in case anyone hasn't gotten to it:
Spoiler
And this is why I will never romance him as a mage. I can't even imagine carrying the burden of, "what if she becomes an abomination?" As a rogue or warrior his biggest concern about his future with you is whether or not there will be another full-scale invasion of Thedas by a god-like power (very likely, given its recent history) rather than whether he might have to put down the love of his life.

I'd keep those off YT until this is resolved or at least mentioned by YT. The ban-hammer one-shots channels apparently.

Pretty much, it's a grey area though... it's hard to govern something that is so hard to place into medium.

Yeah, the whole thing confuses me massively...especially since these people make nothing from doing it. It's total free advertisement - I've purchased plenty of music/games after seeing them on Youtube.
Then again there's services like Spotify where you can be 100% free and listen to pretty much anything and everything under the sun...so how is that not a problem? You could and still can listen to Inquisition's entire soundtrack FOR FREE...something they wanted folks to pay extra for with the deluxe edition (and I did *sigh*). ![]()
