Hey, is there anyone in the thread with flycam that wouldn't mind trying to get some shots of "old Redcliffe" for me? I am curious to see what it looks like behind the gate.

Before jumping to the romance, I knew how Cullen was from previous games. It did surprise me how his view point changed from not trusting mages too trusting them. I am still unsure as to what changed his mind, since as far as I could tell Cullen never made mention as to what changed his mind.
I actually just saw it as him returning to the way he always was before all those terrible things happened to him. He joined the Templars to protect people. In Origins, if you talk to him after your Harrowing as a male mage, even in the absence of his crush on the fem!mage he will firmly declare that he does not relish the idea of putting down mages with the sort of glee that some other Templars have. During the Broken Circle questline he also admits that he used to think Templars were too hard on mages. I think that before he was tortured he was fully aware that mages were people and deserved to be treated with respect, and though his fear of magic drove him away from that for a while, the realization that some mages did in fact have reason to fear/despise the Circle system in DA2 brought him the full 360 degrees back to his original desire to protect all people, mages or not. He's turned full circle, basically. HAH.
He fears the power of mages who are corrupted to do evil, certainly, but I think what Mother Giselle says summarizes what he's finally learned in Inquisition - that magic isn't inherently evil, that corruption is what we have to fear, and that all people, not just mages, are subject to corruption.
i like how they kept getting interrupted. It makes it all the sweeter when they finally get away. And I think it's at least Cullen's first time especially if you did the fem mage origin story in Origins because he was always holding onto her in the back of his mind until he met the inquisitor. And even if you didn't do that origin story he was apart of the templar order and even if they didn't make vows I doubt there was a lot of time for him to get down and dirty especially given his mindset.
Yeah, this is my interpretation too. Not that I think him having had sex would make him any less of a pure beautiful soul or anything, I'm not a prude, LOL. But seeing how he says he never had anyone special catch his eye in Kirkwall ("Not in Kirkwall.") regardless of whether you had a female mage warden import or not and how slowly and gently he advances the romance, I feel like he's just never had the chance up till this point. I interpret him as a virgin by circumstance, not because he's afraid of sex but because he does desire that emotional bond before initiating it. Though he is very much a different person from Alistair I feel like both their stances on the issue are similar when it comes to romance and intimacy. Alistair is as outgoing as they come and he'll still reject you if you approach him too early on by saying he "wasn't raised (in the Chantry) to take that sort of thing lightly". Then after you do end up sealing the deal, he says you're his first and that, if he has his way, you'll be his last. It reminded me a lot of how Cullen's mind immediately jumped to marriage when asked about physical intimacy, which is why I think he's had very few physical partners if at all and that romance had to have been involved if he did.
That said, there's nothing wrong with people who enter a physical relationship first and get closer emotionally afterwards, like with Bull's romance, and there's nothing wrong with headcanoning that perhaps Cullen did have a relationship of some sort prior. I just personally don't see very strong evidence to suggest that Cullen had the chance to, unless he had a fling during his Templar training before he was assigned to Kinloch or something, haha.
Dorian in my female IQ pt slept on her coach. In my head canon Cullen already accepted the fact that dating IQ = adopting DorianYeah I kinda headcanon that this is the case with all the love interests that stay with the IQ. When you look at everyone's lodgings, at least Cullen had a bed. If my Trev is not letting Cullen sleep without a roof, my Lavellan is not letting Sera squat at the tavern forever either, and my Adaar is certainly not letting Blackwall keep sleeping in the barn (though he sometimes deserve it
).
I don't even know where Dorian sleeps. On that chair in the library, by the looks of it.

Wow, thanks for sharing! Now, that looks like the Redcliffe that I know
Frostbite engine really do give the old one quite a facelift .___.
I'm busy playing my 2nd pt with my human mage (who has a bit of a rebellious yolo streak, ha!) and trying very hard not to romance Cullen XD. Who knew Blackwall could be this charming? ![]()
Same with my quizzy lolDorian in my female IQ pt slept on her coach. In my head canon Cullen already accepted the fact that dating IQ = adopting Dorian
For those of you using Windows 8.1 and running SweetFX with RadeonPro, can you tell me if this version (linked to in this post) works without having to use RadeonPro? The one I've linked to before is supposed to work without RadeonPro, but Dracofish2 tells me that it doesn't, so I was curious if this one does work.
EDIT: The user.cfg file in that download might mess with your settings (especially if you're using the GameTime.MaxVariableFps command), so maybe try it out without that file, or at least remove the "GameTime.MaxVariableFps 119.6" line from that user.cfg file in Notepad first.
Just found out flycam is working in Origins, but not in Inquisition.
lol wtf

Hmm the nights when Bull came to visit must've been... awkward ![]()

Every time I tried to use SweetFX from just the game folder it causes the game to crash upon launch. From what I've read, this is due to Windows 8.1. I will try the file you linked and report back.
Either way, I do like RadeonPro for the rapid-fire screenshots.

Bull can take him somewhere nice. But I expect below conversation happen:Hmm the nights when Bull came to visit must've been... awkward
So...all you guys that are starting Solas romances...I found your song. My heart goes out to you:
Spoiler
Here's a song that seems appropriate for the Cullen romance:

Bull can take him somewhere nice. But I expect below conversation happen:
"You shall return him by 11am tomorrow, young man. Be safe and be responsible. Also if you break his heart, I will open a fade rift throw you in and let all those demons chew out your face...slowly."
Bwahahahaha! That's perfect! ![]()

The best part is, I think Bull would respond very well to this! "Yes, ma'am," the big man replied, looking suddenly very meek and almost afraid of angering his boss.

Hey! Thank so much. I really appreciate it. ![]()
I love you for this reference. :hugs:
I indulged in a movie marathon this weekend, with Clue being one. I love this...
Speaking of old comedies, I had this overwhelming urge to try to create Morticia Adams in the CC. I probably saved myself from going crazy (I'm not good at that sort of thing) by remembering that there's no way to fake the hair...

If you could recreate the hair though....... I love playing in the CC. I think it might be one of the reasons why I haven't actually finished the game yet. ![]()
Oh, and here's another Cullen romance song, haha XD
No, Mythal is the wife of Elgar'non, mom and dad elven gods.
Unless the Elven gods were like the Greek Gods, where you had figures like Aphrodite being married to Hephaestus, but having a torrid love affair with Ares, as well as the many, many affairs that Zeus had with various parties.

I didn't realize that this was a new redcliffe i thought it was the gate leading to the castle so I was trying to see the similarities from DAO and couldn't. this clears so much up lol. so is that big building across the lake redcliffe castle? I was kind of upset that there wasn't any trace of a circle tower anywhere.
Oh, and here's another Cullen romance song, haha XD

I can't listen to this with a straight face!
Ahhh, the memories.

The song does have its cheese factor, but I find the lyrics really appropriate for how Cullen approaches a romance. I could see him being a very attentive lover, going out of his way to make her feel good ![]()

I'll make love to youLike you want me toAnd I'll hold you tightBaby all through the nightI'll make love to youWhen you want me toAnd I will not let go'Till you tell me to
The lyrics by themselves I can do, but add all the other stuff in and I just want to dive under a pillow and giggle. I am pretty sure I made out with a guy when I was fourteen with this playing in the background. ![]()
