Yeah, which is why I'm disappointed when a version claiming to not need RadeonPro to work with Windows 8.1 doesn't actually work. Would be nice to cut out an extra program/step.

 

This is why I prefer SweetFX screenshots to the screenshots the game takes. I always get a long pause taking screenshots the regular way, but SweetFX with my customized hotkey takes them in an instant.

 

 

Ok, so IT DOES WORK! However, I can't figure out how to toggle the fps counter off. I don't see that in the settings javascript code.

So, at the Winter Palace when Cullen is being harassed by those admirers, Cullen is asked if he's married and he says (paraphrased from memory):

"No...  I'm not married, not yet.  I am taken, though."

 

Is it just me reading into things, or does that mean he's considering marriage with the Inquisitor?

Yay! There's a command for the in-game FPS counter in the user.cfg file. Do you mean that one? You can remove that line in Notepad. If you mean the eFX FPS counter, the Insert button toggles that one.

That's a good question.  I remember hearing about a scenario (that never happened) where the Inquisitor could choose to stay and defend a village or let it burn to the ground.  Maybe it was supposed to be Redcliffe but they cut that choice to even out the Mage vs. Templar conflict?

I can't tell if it's working. I set up the toggle and screenshot command in eFX.ini and it appears that none of it works. I also can't toggle the fps counter. Right now the only thing I can tell you for sure is that the game will at least run with that version of SweetFX in the folder. That's further than I got before. This is what I have in eFX.ini:

At this point, I'd hazard to say that it's easier to use with RadeonPro. No messing with file configs at all. And when SweetFX is active or toggled you get a blatant smack in the face that sways "SweetFX ON" or "SweetFX OFF" in the upper corner of the screen.

 

If you want to take it to PM I'd be happy to work together to get it working as well without RadeonPro.

Connor question (taking a wee break from playing)...

So...if connor was saved we get to see him in redcliffe (I am in love with the way they made him look and the voice actor...made me tear up the first time I saw it).

But then...in the castle when i am getting ready to fins Alexius, there is a scene where i cry out and can say 'connor no!!". The a line from a companion implies that he was there and killed himself to keep a demon from getting him. Has anyone actually SEEN that? because I never SEE anything to go along with those lines. We are just in an empty hallway and I reloaded it a bunch to try to catch it but..nothing. Is it a bug?

I didn't see that actually action but I heard it.  It's like it's happening as you try to enter the room.

Just found out flycam is working in Origins, but not in Inquisition.

The CC frustrates me, partly because the lighting isn't very good, at least for me, and I struggle trying to get anything except blue eyes, sigh.

 

OK, so I gave it a try, this is as close as I can get to Morticia working from a picture from the 90's movie (I'm lousy at this sort of thing, so it isn't very close, especially since there aren't hair or eyebrow options that fit)

I'm out of likes but I'd want that to happen!  It's not like Bioware hasn't touched marriage in their games before- I'm pretty sure you can marry EVERY romance option in SWtOR, for example XD.  I've watched my characters marry Corso, Malavai, Doc, and Iresso...

I don't know of a way to change the SweetFX screenshots destination folder, sadly. Screenshots will just go to your installation directory. If the eFX FPS counter is still not toggling off, you can open the eFX.ini file and change "general_menu_enabled=true" to "general_menu_enabled=false". This will turn it off permanently.

It seems that nothing in the eFX.ini is working. That should let me toggle SweetFX and set a custom screenshot key and destination folder. Nope, nada. SweetFX only toggles with the vanilla Scroll Lock key and screenshots don't work at all. I also can't get the FPS counter to toggle.

I can get the eFX fps counter to toggle. It seems the "general_menu_enabled" was defaulted to false. I had to enable it. BUT, with getting that part fixed, I still can't get screenshots or toggle SweetFX.

One thing I didn't struggle with in the CC was with the make up. Real life profession comes in handy for games sometimes.
