I think there should be an options for kids or no kids, same way male wardens get that with morrigan. same with marriage. i know it's not everyone's cup of tea but that doesn't mean it shouldn't be available for those that would like it. option should be there for s/s couples too.

its actually one of the stories they haven't explored before so it would be nice to see any couple other than straight male PCs and their LI with a little one or the legacy left behind through family.

Though I can see why some would want this option, I don't see how it would work in such an environment. Look at the relationship between the Warden and Alistair, if they both remained with the Wardens. Not only has it been stated that the taint makes it very difficult to bear children, they're also constantly on the move due to their duties. Not to mention that by the time Inquisition takes place, they're already almost half-way to The Calling. I shudder to think of it (enter sad-panda face), but that's a fact. Even if they find a way to beat it, their duties will still prevent them from giving children the right environment.

Ok, let's move onto Cullen and the IQ. They may have defeated the chief protag in this game, but we all know there's stuff way up in the air and we're just waiting for the other shoe (or shoes) to drop. The Inquisition is just reaching the height of its power. I don't see how either of them would have time to have a family (other than maybe a pack of mabari puppies...or kitties!). He is the leader of his love's forces and she is constantly away on campaign. I just don't see it, unless they both decide to turn their backs on everything and walk away...which I don't see either doing.

Yea I'd like that too, it being said in some form that they stayed together.

I enjoyed the "future" option with Cullen's Romance.

At this stage, Cullen is deeply in love and protective of your Inquisitor and has a serious matter to discuss.. He wants to spend the rest of his life with you and not without you. Do you see your Inquisitor with Cullen for the rest of both your lives? Or do you choose to abandon ship?

I saw the break-up scenes on YouTube and my are they heart breaking.

Josie is a great character, but the more I get to know her, the less interested I am in romancing her, for some reason. Cass's romance is sweet (I'm actually with Panda in that there was a bit more of the flowers and candles than I needed, but I still find the scene well done), but she's also still very assertive, and I love that. That's the kind of female PC to male NPC romance I'm still waiting for, as much as I love many of the ones they've done in DA. I seem to be in the (tiny) minority, though, for wanting at least one that isn't almost exclusively male NPC initiated and wanting one where the woman is comfortable enough with who she is to say what she wants and go for it. A female warden to Alistair can come close, but only in the sense she can ask him to her tent. This doesn't mean the ones they've done aren't great (and I know that those who prefer a shy or uncertain character feel they can't completely play that out either). That's just what I would like to see because it just doesn't fit several of my IQs personalities to wait anxiously for the other person.

Hehe, Alistair's really well made for that. You want to be the assertive one who ask first? You can. Or you can just wait for him to ask first. Both preferences are hugely possible & feels natural in game (but only if you understand how the game romance mechanic works...).

With Cullen I just get the idea that it's actually both of them wanting it at the same time.

I wonder, if ever the quizzy keep him off Lyrium & romance him then break up, how will the prayer scene go on? Anyone did this? I can't find anything on youtube with this combination...

Apparently the prayer scene is not only with romanced quizzy (but only romanced quizzy get the hug). Saw a video on a male dwarf quizzy who leash him back to Lyrium, the prayer scene is basically him reciting the Champion of the Just part instead of the part he recited while romanced off-lyrium...

It doesn't have to be either of those two. It could be any other possible combination.

That and if they could make it happen with Morrigan or Bastila they can make it happen with other companions.

It's not as if leaders in high places never had kids before. I don't see why having kids means "drop everything and everyone in your life and focus solely on babies." Sure some people choose to do that but others can and do have their family and a life outside of it as well.

Yeah I had seen the breakup scene I just couldn't picture myself doing that to him I mean he has been through so much **** as it is. I think that would be that final thing to break him even further and I just can't see myself breaking him like that.

It's interesting that several players had mentioned their intention to "do one romance other than Cullen (mostly BW)" then break off & go to Cullen. Never heard anyone do the opposite however. Anyone?

I think that for FemInquisitors, Cullen and Sera are the only two you can start at any time.  The others have starting points in their cutscenes.  So, it's easier to save Cullen for later.

I have no idea, but I'd hope it would follow suit that he continues to ignore the Inquisitor.

At least that's how I think he would handle it. I don't think he'd particularly want anything to do with the Quizzy outside of battle plans and necessary talks.

Although, I'd bet it's just the typical Quizzy neutral prayer scene.

We'll have to agree to disagree on that  ;)  Besides it's a bit strange that all the fraternizing is going on and not one pregnancy occurs except God baby.

Thedas obviously has fail-safe birth control...I'd blame the mages

I don't know about Bastila, but Morrigan did drop everything and go into hiding.

How could the IQ take XX # of months off campaigning to have a baby? And who would take care of it while she was away? Sure, other people could raise the children for them, but I just don't see either of them having the time. And what if Skyhold were attacked? That's certainly a possibility.

I'm no historian, but didn't they have forms of birth control "way back when?"

Nevermind the fact that Cullen's brain would most certainly break worrying about not only the Quizzy but their child.

I also don't see the setting or circumstances supporting a child in any realistic sense.

Bastila had a kid?

She told Revan that she was pregnant in the companion novel "Revan." I haven't finished the book so I don't know what comes of it. I'm assuming she does have it considering Satele is a distant relation.

She had Keiran with her while she was in Orlais, and she only stayed hidden away for a little bit. She even says that she had to come out the other world and back into Thedas.

If anything Skyhold is probably is one of the safest places for IQ's child instead of assuming that you could hide somewhere and never be found. That never ends up well in any story I've seen.

There were historical forms of birth control...

And on that note, I'm on the top of the page.  Have an awkward Cullen:

This is Thedas =/= historical point in time.

They have legitimate magic and other resources that could easily be twisted to constitute some form of birth control.
