Not the golden one, tho. Somehow I got it corraled in only two tries this time. 

 

I actually had no problem with this quest and got it down in less than five minutes on the first try

 

Let me brag... I totally suck at 95% of the rest of the game xD

Concerning the personality, on DA:I he has quite same approach to stuffs like Ned.

Too bad that Cullen's not using his 2H sword anymore. If not he can name it ice, change his furry surcoat to a full length one & looks like one of the Starks.

Story time: Its not going to work out for Cullen and the current version of my canon inquisitor. She demands a lot and all at once. Her major disagreements with him breakdown like this-- no circles/no templars/stay on lyrium/he needs to generally lighten up.

And then she disliked Cullen's panicky reaction to the mage alliance (no abominations emerge from Fiona's group either IIRC so it read at the time and later still reads "overreaction" to her). She doesn't like what he says about Samson and addiction-- came off cold to her. She thinks his judgement of Blackwall is rather hypocritical also. And his response to her possession question rubbed her very wrong (she is a necromancer. and also in part because she isn't certain he can perceive the difference between actual danger and a threat invented in his head). Other things highlight differences too-- she didn't at all care for his suggestion to put Gaspard on the throne and some of his war table suggestions are just WTF to her. Josephine was right in her opinion-- he is often the man with a hammer to which every problem resembles a nail. lol. This just can't work.
 

I see flashes of what could be. He's attractive. Passionate. Can lead well. He works hard at rectifying past mistakes and at being a different, good person. He's sensitive, fun, and most interesting when he lets his guard down completely. He's questioning beliefs and casts off what obviously doesn't work in practice. She's very strong-willed, attempting to move on from a difficult life in the circle, forgive those she blames for it, and soften her personality. Cullen potentially works for those themes-- but at this point in time they end up completing each other in the ugliest, nastiest ways possible. You shouldn't very often think your boyfriend's a brainless pr*ck but Pia does! I'm near the end game and I think its time to initiate a break up if I can. I think in 7-10 years after they've had time to process the recent traumatic events in their lives and mellow out this couple would be fine together. But fresh off character re-defining crises, its a love-hate affair that may be fated to end very badly.

Because I love exploring dynamics in damaged characters/difficult relationships (and because I'm evil), I may try another run of this inquisitor-- break it off with Cullen at or before the sex scene and try to go for Blackwall as a rebound romance. I can see my inquisitor hoping he's the white knight she wished Cullen would be only to be thoroughly disillusioned with him too.

Just supposed I'd share. I don't know if anyone else had a similar dynamic with Cullen but it was intense, and I like how the writing left room for him to be both Prince Charming and a total mismatch for the inquisitor.

The first time I saw it I was all like "We've got a Stark among us!"

 

Funny too since most people I know didn't seem to make that connection...and they love GoT.

 

Furry cloaks define the Stark's armor style, c'mon!

Hey folks, I have a quick question for those who finished the Cullen romance arc. How big a difference is there to be found in playing it through with a mage rather than a warrior or rogue? My first PT I went with the Sera romance as a mage, so this time around I was planning on trying Cullen's out but not sure which class I'm gonna play as yet. Cheers.

I said this before, but one of my favorite parts of his romance is how he appears like a hardass on the outside but has a gentle, affectionate side he reveals to the Inquisitor.

There are a few extra dialogues a mage can pick, but it's nothing drastically different. A templar warrior also has a few extra dialogues with him as well.

On several cutscenes & dialogues you get "alternative" wordings that Cullen said, and you get the "special mage" dialogues. + a few extra dialogue options. All cutscenes remains the same. Personally I love pairing Cullen - Mage (only finished Trev mage) since the dynamique is really great.

 

Here are on what I can remember:

- Lake Date scene (Happier times)

- First convo in Haven, ask him about Mage & Templar & Circle & he'll acknowledge you as mage.

- Post- perseverance (his personal quest) scene at the battlement

- First kiss scene

- what if I get possessed dialogue

Hehe I'm sick now (that bad cold that linger since Christmas...), my little brother inform me that he had cancel his train ticket to come here, and my friends had just cancel our annual celebration because the landlord where we'll be doing the party suddenly cancel the reservation. My BF's off to his parents at half the country away & I refused to come already since I thought that I'll be passing it with my friends

I'd like to add that you don't have to take the Templar spec to get all the extra dialog as a Warrior. If you do choose to take it, however, there is a little more. I haven't done this yet but I'm toying with the idea on a future Warrior.

omg, i had been away from my computer for over a week and a half! (left for holidays at my family's) has something interesting in the fandom or in the cullen thread happened during my absence? (;

 

anyway i plan to use some flycam and try to take more screenies of cullen and moirin once i get my hands on her playthrough for the second time. anyone could explain to me how to install and use it? i would be very grateful.

 

also, the current year ends, i got some new year's resolutions to make, got some skills i promised to myself to develop, and more artworks to create. let's hope that it will all come to me through my hard work and dedication. i'm determined as hell this time (;
