My nan woke me up first thing this morning. I answered the phone thinking there must be some kind of emergency, only for her to remind me for the third time this week that Pride & Prejudice is on TV today. I don't know what part of "Its OK, I have them on DVD and my fiance isnt going to sit through it anyway" wasnt acceptable the first two times she tried to tell me...

The Solas thread is a really nice place actually so I say check it out! This one and the Solas thread seem to be one of the few "open-minded" places.

 

Anywhere here is the theory I came up with-

 

So in my first pic you can see several elven individuals and two rings located above the left and right side of them, at first I thought they were the Emerald Knights but then I thought that perhaps they were the  Creators and the Forgotten Ones. And that the two rings above each side were two orbs that each set of gods owned. Now we know Solas had one orb and that Mythal appeared so let's say that there are two orbs then if Mythal appeared he took the orb that belonged to her and all The Creators...which released those gods while leaving The Forgotten Ones in their respective domain. 

 

So I am still going about trying to find further evidence to support my theory, any thoughts?

 

Btw it is amazing how many wolf statues, and murals there are in this game...Bioware was hinting hard to Solas' true identity, lol! I knew they already were in my second PT...but the sheer number of hints...

So last night as I was celebration New Year's by playing DAI, I finally finished the Samson quest. That thing was massive, every time I thought I was close to being done there was more.

Anyways, so

it ended rather abruptly. I figured the next step after Dagna creating that rune would be to kill Samson, but then I realized the quest just completed. Well I am guessing I have to fight him later in the game or something, as I advance the main quest.

I am not far in the main quest, I do not think I have done anything really since I got to Skyhold. The next thing to do I think is that Wicked quest and the one

I have not gotten anything new romance wise with Cullen since the First Kiss. I figured I would get something new after doing the Samson quest, but nothing...

and I saw the first part of his lyrium addiction where he just basically told me he stopped taking it

I have not seen more though, so I don't really know how to trigger that.

Maybe I just need to get further in the game for everything, I just have like a bazilion new areas open right now, with so many quests in each one, I was hoping there would be something more with Cullen before continuing the main quests. Does anyone remember what trigger more of his scenes, is it only the main quest?

There's one scene between the kiss and the sex scenes, but if you've only just triggered his lyrium quest, you'll have to complete this one before you get that scene. You'll need to zone out and in of Skyhold a few times to get these scenes to progress. Once you've got both of these (the lyrium quest and the gift scene), the next romance progression (the sex scene) will only happen after you complete both Here Lies the Abyss and Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts. Meanwhile, you'll have to make do with the radiant kiss in the battlements, which you can repeat as many times as you wish, and any personal conversations you have left with Cullen, if you still have any. There's good romance content in the ball too, so you still have a good bunch of stuff to go through, even if takes a while.

In answer to that, I'd honestly have to say play through it and find out without spoilers. Some people really like it, others don't, and I think the contentiousness is the reason we mostly avoid it (not always successfully). I don't like it as a romance, but don't let my preference sway you. Ninetozero is a fan, I think.

I didn't care for him much until this current playthrough where I'm taking him around everywhere.  I feel like you really don't get to know him unless you have him around for banters and such.  So now that I've heard a lot of those (especially with Cole) I do like him, but before it was just 'meh.'

I'll agree I just don't find him attractive for any of my Quzzies, heck, I loved Solas even thought damn that elf for what he did shakes fist he is still my favorite romance compared to Blackwall's or Cullen's whom I love. Cullen is my main romance though with my elf mage romancing Solas and have yet to do the other play throughs of my characters.

That's an interesting theory. Personally, I've been staring at those murals he paints in Skyhold trying to figure out what they're depicting, but I don't have enough info to puzzle it out. Where's my "Ask Solas about his art" option? lol

I have a romance run with him going on at the moment and I am enjoying it. I'm not really a Blackwall fan but his story is sweet.

 

Actually I have a Solas romance running and an Iron Bull romance running at the moment too. Because I get withdrawls I had to start another Cullen romance so I can run back to him when needed lol

You know Blackwall does seem pretty sweet and I actually did really like him until...

his big scene happened. and then i just got pissed lol... but now that I'm replaying I'm trying to note the signs that he's trying to keep the secret and it all seems to be about him trying to redeem himself. Honestly I think his intentions are pure but he went about redemption in the complete wrong way. But I don't hate him as much as I did in that initial play through and will likely try his romance with a dwarf in the near future

And on top of that, we now know that red lyrium, lyrium infected with the Blight, existed before Cory and his fellows breached the City, meaning that the Taint has existed on Thedas for millennia via red lyrium. We have proof since the Primeval Thaig, abandoned millennia before the First Blight, held mountains of the red stuff down there.

Truth be told the other romance options just don't interest me at all.

 

Blackwall- Looks like my Dad-which is creepy.

 

Sera- Uh no, just no. While her personality is fine for friendship it is not something I could be attracted too.

 

Bull- Not into romancing a Qunari nor do I like the fact the relationship seems to be more silly then serious. Not too mention Bull kind of reminds me of Isabella.

 

Josephine- Too political, noble etc for my tastes. While Josie is a good friend, jumping into a romance with her, would just not work for me.

 

Dorian-I have no intentions of playing a male Inquisitor at all. Thus he is a good friend to have.

 

Solas- No thanks. While many people enjoyed his romance, I for one thought it was dull, dry and I want a romance that lasts. I never played through it myself, but I watched my husband play through it. Not to mention I have little interest in playing a female elf.

 

 

Thus I shall stick too Cullen. While the romance DOES have some issues, its still is a good romance. Almost done with this play through and when I am...off to remake the same character again and romance Cullen all over.

Oh, the ones by the rifts? The formations are the same as the the enormous ones by the Breach that we see in the prologue. It's not green lyrium. It's just ambient magic from the split Veil affecting the world around it.

 

We don't have any green lyrium.

No, Cole doesn't truly know, because once when Cole dug too deep, Solas did something to kick him out.
