I was just having a read though the Skyhold codex entries, I feel like it's alluding to potential future DLC, especially given the whole Solas situation and the fact that he lead us to the place:

Or sink into the ground, you can bet your arse there's probably something underneath that mountain, lol.

For me when it comes to the other romances:

Blackwall - Physically, he just doesn't do it. Way too much beard and the nose is wrong. And then there's the heaping helping of angst. It doesn't help that personally

Spoiler

Solas - I fully intend to run this one at some point.

Cassandra - I fully intend to play a male Quizzie to run this one.

Dorian - Just not into running s/s, so poor Dorian is stuck in the friend zone in my games, but he is an EPIC friend whom I love to pieces.

Josie -  I may also play a male Quizzie for her someday, but I am less enthused about it than the notion of romancing Cass. Josie, IMO, makes a much better gossip buddy than girlfriend.

Sera - Can't stand her, so no problem here.

Iron Bull - I may get around to running this one eventually. Iron Bull is also on the list of companions I enjoy, but if I can't get his personal quest to come up without trying to romance him ... I'm not sure I'll make it to a romance, frankly.

Vivienne - It's a good thing for her she's not an option ... I wonder if she's still in my attic or if she's gotten the hint and moved out yet?

I wonder if Solas wants the veil to come down. If you say you'll "... restore what was." he gets pretty happy about it. Sadly you can't ask him more specifically about what he's referring to. That's definitely something that should be referenced in a DLC and, as suggested before, maybe that's why there was no assault on the keep in this game. They might be saving it.

Oh, the possibilities :D

starting to think a mass grave lol

All these apparent past occupants and yet it seems like no one knows what happened to any of them?

Has no one else fallen into the geography under Skyhold yet and seen the evil snowman and heard the creepy music? That's what's down there ...

Christ, imagine that! I still reckon that threatening note we got during Varric's Hard in Hightown war table quests (supposedly not from Worthy) is a warning about us squatting in Skyhold.

The reason I chose Cullen is he reminded me a lot of Alistair, and also it seemed like there was potential for a happy ending(I am not at the end yet). And I am the type of person who likes her romances to be all rainbows and unicorns :)

And of course Cullen is a cutie :)

I had known about Solas and although I try to stay away from major spoiler I do know it is not all rainbows with him, so I knew he was not for me.

Blackwall seems sweet in his own way, not enough to make me chose him over Cullen, but I could see how his relation could potentially be nice(although it seems like maybe something happens with him at the end, so maybe I wouldn't have liked it).

Iron Bull was not for me since he is not the sweet and cuddly romantic type.

When I beat the game, I do plan to watch all the romances on YouTube though, because I do enjoy seeing how they all play out.

If I had time maybe I'd play though some of them myself, but having 2 little kids, I only get to play about 2 hours in the evening after they are both asleep, which is why I still have not finished the game.

Apparently the Skyhold, or the ground it was built on is full of ancient magic which could be why Corypheus never attacked or even came near the place because there are wards protecting it or something?

That's what I'm thinking, like the end of Book 2 of Legend of Korra.

But then his personal quest to activate elven artifacts to "strengthen" the veil seems quite counterproductive to that end. Unless he's lying to us about what they do, I suppose.

was there ever a reason stated why there's never any snow inside Skyhold itself? Unless it was a stylistic choice, but it always seemed odd we're surrounded by mountains of ice yet we're fine at home base.  :alien:

Maybe, maybe not ... It could be that the ancient elves were masters of manipulating the Veil to their own ends. It very well could be that in some places and at some times the veil needs to be strong for the normal business of life to continue, but in other places and for other purposes, it needs to be weak to nonexistent. To restore what was, it could be that the veil simply needs to be pliable and responsive to control.

Yeah, I think that's weird too. At first I thought, "What lovely trees!" and then realized, "oh, we're surrounded by brutal snowy mountaintops." Not sure if it's a design choice or a deliberate, "Skyhold is different" thing that the developers were going for.

I love the massive holes in the wall (and the roof) and am forced to keep thinking, "No one feels that massive snowcap just over there?!"

So, there's like, magic weather wards? No wonder Cullen's not in a hurry to fix the roof in his bedroom!

"Held the sky back"....I wonder if this was the structure in which the Veil itself was possibly raised....hmmmm
