Pretty much. I'm on board with the theory that the elves created the Black City, a permanent arcane construct within the Fade to contain the Blight.

Oh man, if the "elven gods" actually created the Blight as a weapon to take over all of Thedas/the world, then created the Black City to lock it away because they couldn't control it, perhaps that goes some way into explaining why Fen'Harel also locked away the gods? He may have done it to prevent them from doing more damage? Maybe he felt that their greed was out of control or something?

... Kinda reminds me of Prometheus, where it seems the engineers created the Xenomorphs as a biological weapon to take over other planets... so also kinda like the Resident Evil series too, LOL!

For facial expression, the thing I love about the Quizzie is that lop-sided smile although I gave my first Quizzie a wider mouth and that time you flirt with Cullen in Haven by telling him you'd listen to any lectures he cares to give and sort of smile sidewise ... she kind of wound up looking like Sera's character thumbnail for a bit.

I think every character looks weird in that shot -- just like they all look hideous in those "exaggerated grimace" moments in the prologue.  Or that's what I tell myself, anyway.  ;)

Good is a funny perspective ;)

Fenris and Anders are always jerks to her regardless of Hawke's relationship to her.

Oh, that makes me feel worse, like I am just jumping on their bandwagon.  -_-

"From my point of the view the humans are evil!"

"Only an elf deals in absolutes!"

This is how I get about Merrill. I like her but she really can't see outside her own little box sometimes. I always rival her and always have her smash the mirror. I honestly feel for my Hawke, that it was the only way to really be Merrill's friend. Which sucked sometimes because I am pretty sure that rivaling her gave Fenris and Anders leeway to be complete jerks to her when we were all in a party together. Unless they were always like that?

Speaking of which, wasn't leaving Merrill's mirror intact supposed to have caused us some problems in DAI? More cut content perhaps?

I made a "disaster" Hawke world state and have it on hold for the day when I want to see if I can leave Hawke in the fade. I went through and left every bad person alive, did every bad thing I can think of including giving Fenris back to his former master, and rivaled Varric in it. I plan to tack it on to my GoT world state DAO play through in which the HoF is absolutely ruthless. In short, the world the Quizzie inherits ought to be as close to an absolute basket case as possible.

The first world state I imported was called "Disaster Area". Unsurprisingly, it was similar to what you describe. XD

It really wouldn't surprise me if it was cut. I Hope there is a way to put some of this in a DLC. Think of all the awesome stuff we have missed out on. It is a shame that they weren't given the same amount of production time as DAO but from a business standpoint I understand why they did it.

Also...am I the only one that cried when Roderick died?  Like seriously...I had to get a tissue and everything.  :(

No I teared up a little bit too, partly from that and partly from the song.  I hated him at the start, he was so obnoxious, but he certainly redeemed himself.  When Cole showed what was really in his mind and heart... :(

I wonder what was supposed to happen with it? Maybe we would've heard that demons poured out of it and killed a bunch of people or something?

It's possible that the Blight was an engineered bioweapon used in the civil war that grew out of control forcing the ancient elves to contain it.

At first I thought you meant Prometheus the Ancient Greek Titan who stole fire from the gods and then I was confused. XD

It certain sounds like the Blight's origin is going that way! Then when the Tervinter Magisters broke into the city they let the Blight out again.

A destroyed Kirkwall maybe? All of Cullen's hard work gone to waste.

Well, you could say the Chantry's version of how the Blight started is similar, lol.

Sooo... OK. I just did the ball with my solasmance. W. T. F. is with the clipping. I mean. Seriously. I know his romance was added late... but it's SOOO bad there's no point in taking screenshots.

pleeeasse. modders, I implore you, please let me turn off the dumb ass Solas helmet. heeelllppp!  Does anyone know if there's a way to do this yet??

Merrill isn't in Kirkwall though and she likely took the mirror with her, so it would wipe out whoever Merrill is currently helping, I guess.

You'll want to use the Page Down button. It'll zoom you in all the way as soon as you press the button, and you probably won't be able to tell what you're even looking at, but keep the button pressed down and it should slowly zoom you out.

So this is an interesting one...I somehow managed a night scene...

Hmm I think that's more akin to Pandora's box, actually.

But the way Solas talks about the elven gods does make them sound quite similar to the Greek ones.

Spoiler

I'm still not convinced that what we saw happening in the final scene is actually what was going on. I wouldn't be shocked to find out that the roles we've perceived are reversed somehow.

Oh, let us know how that works out. If I can make a random Hawke (will have to be male since  never rolled male in DA2) who didn't get along with Varric then I may be able to finally kill him off so I can have a warden Alistair. :D

I think I am very close to it with my Iron Bull pt, haven't been on that one in a couple of days. I'll go check, might have something to report back real soon.

lol that's what I had to do, just make a random state with male Hawke being really bad (can't do it otherwise lol) he was evil  he gave Isabela to the Arishok, Fenris to Danarius, killed Merrill's clan, and did everything evil to the mages even though he's one himself. he deserves being left in the fade lol

Oh, does she not stay in Kirkwall if she doesn't destroy the mirror? In all my play-throughs she is in Kirkwall protecting the alienage.
