In her conversation with Solas she didn't sound surprised hence I am thinking she was prepared for it and -if she had any alternative plan-she definitely went for it. I am fully expecting Flemeth/Mythal still pulling some strings behind the scenes, regardless of her potential demise.

It makes me think that she's somehow prescient or a Seer, given her comment that sometimes she has to nudge (or shove) history in the right direction? She did seem to know the Warden and Hawke's importance in the grand scheme of things, right from the moment she meets them?

It makes me wonder if the book on Eluvians that Morrigan stole from Ariane's clan in Witch Hunt, wasn't so much Morrigan pilfering elven lore as much as reclaiming a tome of Flemeth's that she'd left in their care a long time ago. It's weird to look back and realise that the Stolen Throne set up that Flemeth had ties to the Dalish, long before it became in any way relevant to the plot whatsoever.

 

Now I just want to know what was the debt that Marethari owed to her, that was mentioned to Hawke in DA2?

Makes me wonder if her reason for pulling strings throughout history is in part because she knew Solas was gonna come back and do something utterly stupid? Or that something unrelated but bad is going to happen in the future. Perhaps her aiding Calenhad, the Couslands, the Warden, Hawke, the Inquisitor at the temple of Mythal and all those other things she's been doing down the years is her way of trying to change the fate of Thedas/the world to give it a fighting chance at what is to come.

Yeah, I rip them straight off YouTube, but the quality is really not the same. I wish more YT musicians put up MP3 versions of their songs, though I understand not everyone has the resources, and with the copyright strikes all over the place they may be wary of making themselves easy targets.

Have you guys noticed that during one part of the Haven attack scene (where he's holding the door open letting them all run in) his voice is all echoey as though he's still wearing the metal lion helmet?

The fact that she was always one step ahead in the previous two games makes me think that she would never get caught off guard. However important the plot with Solas seems to be I cannot stop thinking that there is more at stake and she's allowing him to proceed with his plan, she is probably approving it hence the sacrifice. At the same time Solas has a quite narrow vision of what he wants to achieve, whilst Flemeth/Mythal seems to have a much broader understanding of what is happening and how the situation is developing. -maybe it's my wishful thinking- She was nowhere near as Elven focused as he is. It is possible, probable even that she knew about the incoming trouble with Solas. If he stirrs the muddy water she'll be the first to know about it before hand and address it. I'm just afraid that whatever we will see of Mythal, it will be through Morrigan and that will sadden me quite a bit |:/

Do you ever hear read through a war table mission and find Cullen's suggestion so ridiculous/hilarious that you can actually hear him saying it in his voice and it cracks you up so bad because he's such an adorable tool?

That certainly seems to be the case, though I like the idea that she passed on the essence of Mythal to Morrigan as a safeguard in case Solas does end up causing more harm than good.

 

Flemeth/Mythal certainly seems to be less Elven focused, doesn't she. Perhaps that's also partly due to Flemeth being human so both kinda merged into each other, like Justice and Anders. I'd like to know why Mythal wasn't locked away like the others, has that ever been addressed? I'm not initially clued up on the time frame. Had Mythal technically already died prior to Solas locking them all away? Thus why she's still running around the world because she's merged with Flemeth? OR did she someone manage to escape/avoid being locked away with the others? And has been waiting for Solas to track her down for thousands of years to kill her for her power?

I know right, Sera is amazing. She has become my IQ's crazy silly BFF in the same way Isabella was my Hawke's (which is funny because Quizzie also has a Responsible Big Sister figure in Cassandra, same as my Hawke had in Aveline). There are a lot of layers to Sera's "crazy" that are very interesting to peel off, some emotional walls that are very fulfilling to tear down. What she told my BFF Quizzie in the goodbyes scene was one of the my favorite companion moments in the game.
 
As for her romance... if you want her romance to go super easy, go with a qunari. She's crazy about qunari women. If you want a very slight (very slight) touch of angst, go with a human or dwarf. If you want a challenge, Nightmare mode, "I will break your walls down and make you love me Sera you just watch me" story... romance her with an elf. I liked romancing Sera with a qunari for the lols, because she's so giddy about them giant horned women, but the romance with Lavellan was the most emotionally fulfilling for me. It was like romancing Zevran again - break her down until you see the real person behind the jokes, then help her pick up the pieces and rebuild herself into a happier person, more honest with herself and her feelings for you. 10/10, would eat cookies on rooftops with again.

You know, I haven't been the biggest fan of Sera so far but I'm now running a female Qunari and I was thinking of pairing her with Josie but maybe I'll go see what will happen with Sera instead. I did love the way she reacted to my quizzy when they met. And when I flirted with her.

I love some of his suggestions. He has a low key, dry sense of humor.

I adore 90% of his suggestions because he's so snarky or utterly ridiculous about it! I wish we could've seen more of that directly from the horses mouth though, those early scenes with him in Haven where he's regularly seen have a snark fest are some of my favourites in the game.
