Yes please winters graps ftw. Though, my Mage quizzy has two brothers and one sister. Two of the children are Mages that went back home to stay out of the fighting, however the youngest mage, which is my PC is chosen to repersent the Trayvlen's house at the Conclave. She romanced Cullen of course, since she is not in too some of the others guys in her group although the handsome elf is too her liking sadly he not into her that way. And grows out the crush and falls madly in love with Cullen.

Lol, I think my quizzie and her brother at Skyhold is like Dr and Jack in Doctor Who. Her brother was the black sheep of the family who dislike chantry life and flirt with anything moves, but in a very subtle way. So my quizzie is constantly yelling: STOP IT! And he's like: What? I'm just saying hello? Can I talk to anyone at all?*innocent face

Has anyone specialized as a Necromancer or Knight Enchanter out there?  Or both?  I played Rift Mage last time (cause getting to suck people into a vortex and then pound them with a stone fist is endlessly fun to me).  I have my spirit hilt made up but...it just seems so lame to be a Knight Enchanter after that...thoughts?

The Knight Enchanter is a great class. I went with someone's guide and spec'd Fire Mine and a bunch of the other abilities that power up your spells, and when I see enemies I just throw a mine down in front of me so it charges by the time they walk over it. BAM, they're on fire, my barrier absorbs the damage and goes up automatically, I go slicey dicey, everything is rosy. It's amazing to be able to be up close and personal in battle without taking much damage. If Cullen and I ever went into battle together I bet he'd get a kick out of tiny me shoving stuff out of his way, because protective lioness. :P

I brought BW, Solas and IB this time. BW had a *very* interesting conversation with one of the nobles... that I don't think I would've noticed in my first PT. With Solas, I didn't expect his reaction to the ball, so that was nice.

Heh, I brought BW, Solas and Cole. And the conversation was definitely interesting :] I must say that all conversations with BW are interesting having meta-knowledge.

Hmmm...I may go for it then.  I tried to play with Vivienne to check it out and was unimpressed by the spirit blade and can't seem to work out how to use it when I am very skittish on the field.  I use fade step and mind blast constantly, so was worried it wouldn't work for me.  But...I could go completely different and get into the thick of things by completely re-specing...

"I'll think on it, Lady Montileyt..."

I used the fade step too, mainly to close to the enemies quicker. It reminds me playing a vanguard in ME with charge :D The trick behind knight enchanter is to dish damage all the time since it supports your barrier. You can do it either using your spirit blade or any range talent. I went for quick cooldown ones then I could swicth between range and melee whenever I needed. The downside is murdering spirit blade key 8D

Ahh, I never used mines on my KE. I love them on my rift mage, especially on higher difficulties to kill those pesky terrors or assassins. It works like a charm whenever they try to close

LOL, whenever we encounter him fighting in-game (Haven, Arbor Wilds, his nemesis quest) I'm like: *zips over to his side with a battle yell* "RAAAAAWR, GET THE HELL OFF MY MAN YOU FIENDS, YOU'LL RUIN HIS BEAUTIFUL FACE!" *Casts ALL the big spells and barriers*

I am prone to uncontrollable giggles, and they happen over the most random stuff.  Plus, I laugh like a wicked witch, so it often sound like demonic stuff is going down in here! Hee heee heee!

I love how Varric's romance novel quest with Cassandra was a dig at us 'mancers.  Lol, we're all like Cassandra :P

There were a few of these... friendly digs. Ahem. "Cullen, who are all your admirers?"

Or when Sera admits she's not that fond of Cullen... except for his "nice hair".

Hmmm...I am used to setting down the mines, letting them get close, then fade-stepping outta reach while they freeze/burn, then zapping them with quick spells till my mana picks back up. It might be weird to go all aggressive/melee with a mage, since I am not very good at (my warriors just chase people around most of the time...thank god for the chain-thing).  Of course, using fade-step for positioning rather than evasion might make it workable.

I am gonna respec Vivienne and play a bit with her to see if i can do it without it being all janky.

Thanks for the pointers, all!!!

Knight Enchanter was aaaawesome. To have the option of being melee or ranged is great, it makes my archer now seem boring :-/ and I cannot seem to understand the benefits of the tempest specialization. I can't even use the 1000 slashes or whatever skill that is. I get a fancy ice shield? Am I just playing it wrong?

I felt the same way with my archer!  I chose tempest cause it sounded awesome (before i understood what it was), then was like...how is this supposed to work with an archer?

I...may do that...or try at least because there is not enough Dorian romance content in game.

But it will be the first time I write fanfic in English mind you, as it is not my first language. So prepare for weird sentence structure and incorrect grammar...

I love the snow idea. I couldn't help but think the same thing this round as all the wolves kept howling while I was trying to find Skyhold! I'm now convinced that I was being... guided.  /headcanon accepted!

Lol I will be honest when I first heard the wolves I was like O_O. "OH HELL NO, GET YOUR ASS MOVIN'!" I think I have played too many games that when you hear wolves...that is a larger signal that you are about to die.

I like to rely on mines since I can put them down strategically at close range, because if you slap them down on top of enemies they'll actively try to get away from them. If my tank and I have cornered them up close, they have nowhere to run. Mines are especially nice against big enemies like giants and Pride demons that don't walk very much when you're near them, and with specs they do a ton of damage. I feel really bad for the enemies I encounter, LOL.

And I think I missed out on that mini wedding scene :( I take it it's a part of the ever reaching upward war room quest?? I used Josie for them all because I figured she'd be safest and then no wedding. Pft...diplomacy FAIL

There is not enough Dorian content PERIOD (in my opinion).  I love him to pieces, and I feel like everything with him (non-romanced) was over in a blink!

I LOVE being an archer and a tempest! It is really fun for me at least since I can slow down time which allows me to fire as many arrows as I want into a fool for a time, it gives me no cooldown for my abilities for a time, and I can wade into combat and then backflip away with a volley arrows keeping me safe. I personally believe that tempest is best for archer, assassin for rouge, and artificer...kind of sucks...

I...sometimes drag my teammates away from wolves and bears because I didn't want to interrupt the balance of nature...
