Lol I will be honest when I first heard the wolves I was like O_O. "OH HELL NO, GET YOUR ASS MOVIN'!" I think I have played too many games that when you hear wolves...that is a larger signal that you are about to die.

LOL It was second playthrough, which was also designed as a Solas playthrough... soooo the imagination was already at work. :eyebrow waggle:

*sigh* - I think the fact that I am just not a very good gamer is showing!  I don't understand how to build good fighters.  I miss the pause/issue commands from DAO and the spell combos, which were fun for my chubby, uncoordinated fingers ;)   I feel like I'll never be able to play this game on harder settings because I don't quite understand how best to build characters or parties!

Oh well...still get to enjoy Cullen, right?  :P

You're not the only one, timebean! I would like to be better, but I have no need to play on hard or nightmare. I can get by for now.

And yet, that final moment when the Inquisitor comes back home from the most dangerous battle of her life against the most dangerous evil she'll ever know, and she's victorious and she's alive, and her Commander who has been so proper and professional until now just loses it and embraces her in front of everyone, not giving a damn for appearances because she's alive and he loves her so much he just doesn't care anymore... we could never have had that, had Cullen been a companion. Some things are worth the small sacrifices.

LOL Like some others have said, if he'd been at the battle, he could've expressed his relief much, much sooner! ;)  And just as unprofessionally. :P

Thank you for the input. That sounds perfect, actually. I'll keep that in mind. =)

I have seen the chess scene, though I won't be able to put it to good use till I make a different character (who hasn't flirted with anyone else) in a different playthrough.

Uh oh. Does that include Haven? I've talked to him in Haven a couple of times in this playthrough, saw the option to flirt, but ignored it because my elf was secretly thinking, "You are a Templar that imprisoned my fellow mages and supported a church that demonizes and outlaws my people's religion. Like Hell I'm interested in you!"

If I don't click any flirt options at Haven but do so by Skyhold, would that work out?

No you are still good. While it is best to flirt with him at every time it is not needed in Haven since no romance truly starts until Skyhold. :D

I'm currently in a Solasmance, after the ball, and I still have the flirt option available to ask Cullen if he had anyone special back in Kirkwall. I think you can pick him up pretty late, particularly if you aren't locked into romancing anyone else. He doesn't like it if you are. Some folks have started his romance even after some of the lyrium conversations.

You don't have to take every flirt option to get into the romance. I usually only take one of the two options in Haven, and I've gotten into his romance both times. Somehow asking him if Templars take vows of celibacy seems a little ... forward for my Quizzies at that point, but I do like telling him he can lecture me anytime. And I can still romance him at Skyhold.

I think you do need to indicate you were worried about him not making it out of Haven though. That's the first flirt option at Skyhold I think.

No, I skipped that one, and I've accidentally started the romance after that. (I've done A LOT of reloading this playthrough  :? )

Oghren is too funny, I remember he just goes: So what did you do with her legs? Damn legs always get in the way...

Hardened Leliana was scary to flirt with though. I remember where in a banter Zevran joke about release pressure for her to a hardened Leliana, she literally reply: fine, drop your pants now, I need to see if this is worth my trouble first.

I really hope to see Oghren in the future and SHALE! The same with Zev and those from DA2...seriosually I want ALL THE CAMEOS...gimme Sigrun, gimme Velanna, Nathaniel, Sten...EVERYONE...pwease.

Mmhm right the "imagination" was already working. But I do think that Solas was helping guide our IQ along...I still was freaking out the first time though, lol!

I don't know if you were around R2 but I gave some tips on how to play Nightmare without raging. Those tips are back a few pages, they seem to have helped some people out. To be honest you don't even need to play with the tactical camera on Nightmare if you know what you're doing.

LOL Oh, I read those... (and thanks!) but the operative part here for me, tho, is highlighted.  I actually already do most of the tips you gave, but I still feel like I'm just spamming my abilities. I think I don't have the patience to read and retain all the details of each one, and it bugs me to no end that you don't get any info when you mouse over the buttons during battle. Cuz I forget.

Yeah that is a tad annoying...I also dislike that you cannot use abilities that you don't have mapped. We used to be able to use the Radial menu...but now you are stuck with what you have mapped so plan accordingly. Oh and a thing that helped me feel like I wasn't spamming my abilities was switching ranges during battle or using different characters. It is all about positioning.

I wish we could've seen what happened to all the companions and advisors, I was really interested in finding out what became of everyone.

At least we can switch companions through the different PTs. Josie probably would've been mentally and physically broken. Cullen probably would've either become like he was in the circle tower in DAO or harsh like Leliana

I'll be honest, Demon!Cullen freaked me out in the Champions of the Just quest :(

What I found interesting was that Leliana found her faith again during those times. That was a nice touch imo.

Yeah, I can't stand that I only have access to a few and can't add another quick bar or something. I've seen my dudes use other ones while they're on AI (like the bring you  back from the dead one), so I just hope they keep doing that on their own.

The other thing that bugs me is I'm stumped sometimes as to why some of my abilities aren't reset. There are too many times when I'm sure the countdown must've reset and I seem to have enough stamina/mana... and mousing over tells me... nothing. Grr. So sometimes  just click angrily anyway. LOL

SO there you go... I'm the PC player you wish your player would never be. ;)

I always imagine that they would've turned Cullen into a red templar and we'd find him with crystals growing out of him (not scary like the big ones though), but due to his willpower being so strong he'd still be sane enough for him to recognise us when we find him, maybe give us some sort of heartbreaking talk if your Inquisitor had been romancing him at the time she disappeared, and then he asks you to mercy kill him or something.

Heartbreaking, but my gawd would that have given me a personal reason to make sure these events didn't come to pass... and then once returning back to the current time we'd run back to the Skyhold, embrace him because we'd literally just killed future him, tell him of his fate if they should fail etc and have some sort of emotional scene with him because feels.

I would've liked to go to all the characters and tell them of their fates actually.

If it makes you feel better, during my first playthrough I was so vastly under prepared and under leveled during the final battle... it took me 3 hours to beat Corypheus' Dragon (it was on easy). I managed it though!

That sounds downright infuriating to be honest. I am primary a person who plays on consoles, but when I do play on PC I use a controller if it compatible with one that is. So perhaps you could try using an Xbox 360 controller?

DA:O was made more so for PCs, DA2 was made more so for Consoles, and DA:I I think they tried to bridge the gap between everything and that resulted in crazy bugs for everyone and still unstable controls/AI.

Im really glad they didn't show her physical transformation in the trailers/videos leading up to the game. Made it all the more shocking when I experienced it.

Lola how I wish you were working at Bioware or had a huge say in the plotlines...you would get us all so well. I mean I would had loved to see that and I can understand if it isn't in the budget, but surely Bioware could had sacrificed some gameplay for more emotional scenes/story.

I know it threw the Leliana thread into an uproar when someone posted a picture of her like before the game was released.

Imagine if Cullen looked like that...or Josie...or everyone!

oh my gosh... i love this. My heart would have absolutely shattered. Although I think they might still remember what happened...? When you talk to Leliana afterwards you mention something about her trying to rescuing you and she's like of course I did. I didn't know if that was her saying of course I would do that or yea I remember. Either way I agree. I would've liked to have seen what happened to more people/discussed it more afterwards too.

And let's be honest. Cullen as a red templar would've been emotional for anyone. Not just us Cullenites.

LOL, I have the ideas but I can't write worth a **** so I'd have to demand they hire R2 to help me put these ideas onto paper!

Speaking of emotional scenes, I was hoping Corypheus or either Samson/Calpernia would've tried to target our love interest (or closest companion if you don't romance anyone). Could you imagine if they'd managed to kidnap Cullen or something, especially if it was Samson via the pro-mage path since they actually know each other etc.

Naw, she wouldn't remember because it happened a year in the future. It's just something she'd naturally do because she's devoted to the Inquisition, she'd do it without a second thought and she knows she would, thus her response.
